In preparation for the competition a month from now, Yuga subjected his main battling Pokémon to rigorous training.

Even though, considering Yuga's current strength, a month of training wouldn't significantly enhance the Pokémon's abilities, the saying "sharpen the sword before going into battle" applies. It was good to get a feel for things.

During these days, Yuga noticed a positive developnt in the behavior of Butler's male Gardevoir. It seed to have accepted its life in the Ecopark.

While it still blushed and grimaced whenever it saw Yuga, it got along well with its own kind and even cared for them. Even Gardevoir (female) and Gallade couple, interacted with it warmly.

Yuga naturally welcod this developnt. He didn't expect the male Gardevoir to accept him, as long as it remained content in the Ecopark, didn't cause trouble, and didn't attempt to escape.

Ralts's personality had beco increasingly lively. Every day, it would play with Vulpix and Hoothoot in the Grassland Sub-Ecopark. Its parents didn't interfere.

Note: Here, Ralts refers to the child of the female Gardevoir and Gallade. Besides this Ralts, there were four other Ralts in the main Ecopark.

Yuga still rembered the day he brought Ralts to the Grassland Sub-Ecopark and returned to the main Ecopark. Gardevoir (female) and Gallade were highly cautious, thinking Yuga might have abducted Ralts. Fortunately, Ralts explained the situation to them, and afterward, Gardevoir (female) and Gallade didn't feel as nervous.

Apart from this, the main Ecopark's Natu population had started to reproduce. Several female Natus had laid Pokémon eggs, and it wouldn't be long before little Natus were born. The Natu population would gradually grow.

There were quite a few Psychic-type Pokémon species, but when it ca to learning Teleport, only a handful existed: the Abra line, the Gardevoir line, Claydol, Elgyem, and the Natus.

Teleport was an incredible skill when properly trained. It was beneficial both in battles and for escaping. As long as it wasn't interrupted during execution, aside from its considerable energy consumption, it had almost no drawbacks.

Yuga's Natus had all undergone special training. Although they weren't skilled in combat, each one was proficient in Teleport.

Not all Pokémon with the potential to learn Teleport could actually master it.

Regarding the five Ralts, two Gardevoir, and one Gallade in the main Ecopark, only Butler's male Gardevoir was proficient in Teleport. The others didn't possess this skill; otherwise, Gardevoir (female) and her family wouldn't have fallen victim to Motohara hands.

After all, Pokémon with skill like an Look, Spirit Shackle, and Block were rare. As long as Teleport wasn't interrupted during execution, it was an all-around skill.

This batch of Natus was indeed valuable. In the future, after they learned Teleport through their parents' guidance, they would beco a significant asset for YoYo Day Care.

In this month, Yuga occasionally visited the Desert Sub-Ecopark to check on the Kecleon Couple.

Currently, they had settled comfortably in Oasis No. 1. With regular supplies of Sweet Honey and Moomoo Milk, it didn't take long for the female Kecleon to successfully lay a Pokémon egg.

The egg's potential was similar to that of its parents, green potential. Although not particularly outstanding, it was still considered decent.

Now that their lives were stable, they rarely used their innate ability to hide and sneak around. They also lived peacefully alongside their three neighbors, Snorlax, Ursaring, and Shiny Ariados.

As for Yuga's participation in the Gym Leader spot competition, he had inford Mr. Kuni'o about it during their phone call. Mr. Kuni'o didn't express many opinions, rely advising Yuga to follow his own judgnt.

Seven days before the competition, the League announced the venue, which was none other than the renowned Castelia City in the Unova region.

When it cos to Castelia City, one cannot ignore its significant reputation in the Pokémon world.

The Unova and Kalos regions joined the League much later than the Hoenn and Sinnoh regions, aning they had a shorter history of developnt. Surprisingly, this didn't make them weaker; instead, it beca their advantage.

Upon their integration into the League, it was a ti of rapid growth for the League in terms of technological and urban developnt. These two regions adopted a plethora of high-tech and modern designs in their construction, resulting in a highly modernized environnt.

Whether it was town planning, infrastructure developnt, or economic progress, these regions embraced modernity in the most sensible ways possible.

Because they started their developnt later and had more significant issues to address from the past, their transformations were thorough. As a result, they surpassed older regions like Hoenn and Sinnoh in terms of modernization.

On the other hand, regions like Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh, which had developed earlier, faced nurous historical and legacy issues. This was particularly true for Kanto and Johto, where these problems gave rise to conflicts that hindered modernization.

The culmination of modernization in the Unova and Kalos regions was the city of Castelia in the Unova region and the city of Lumiose in the Kalos region. In a short period, these cities reached a level on par with Saffron City in Kanto and Goldenrod City in Johto.

Castelia City, being the flagship of the Unova region, also happened to be its largest city and the core of the Unova.

Castelia City was situated on the mid-peninsula of the Unova, with a desert to the north and the ocean to the south. It was a vital port city, serving as the Unova's comrcial and economic center. Skyscrapers dotted its landscape.

As a highly developed city, it possessed a unique trait – inclusivity. Here, one could see various elents from different regions coming together, cultures intermingling.

Castelia City's Gym Leader, Burgh, was a rare Bug-type Pokémon Trainer, much like Mr. Norman. He, too, was a Gym Leader directly appointed by the League.

The fact that the League chose Castelia City as the venue for the Gym Leader spot competition didn't surprise Yuga at all. It felt like the natural choice, as only a city of this caliber was eligible to host such a nationally significant event.

The Gym Leader spot competition was second in magnitude only to the Champion's Tournant. Furthermore, due to so special circumstances, the Champion's Tournant was not entirely open to the public, whereas the Gym Leader spot competition was broadcast in its entirety, garnering even more attention from the public.
