7. Welco to the Illusion Academy
"Wow, so bitter!"
In a café, ng Lian drank the black coffee from her cup. The bitterness brought tears to her eyes.
"Hm? Is it bitter? Want to add so sugar?"
The black-haired girl across from her asked with concern.
"I'm fine, I'm fine. I can handle this much bitterness."
ng Lian and the girl who called herself Modu were currently in a café. Naturally, this was not in the new student area, but in the actual Witch Academy.
Strictly speaking, as a new student during the entrance exam period, ng Lian had no right to enter this place. But with Modu beside her, she smoothly left the new student area and arrived here.
Modu had explained to ng Lian that the witches had established a Witch Academy in every star system. The one they were in was located in the Androda constellation. The Witch Academy was vast, encompassing roughly an entire star system. The new student area was on a very small planet and did not count as the true Witch Academy.
"Sorry, I didn't think it through. I assud you could handle coffee. Let order you a glass of milk."
Modu could naturally tell that ng Lian was forcing a smile. She looked apologetic and ordered a glass of sweet milk.
"Then... thank you."
Unable to refuse, ng Lian could only thank her.
"No problem. Have you considered what I ntioned?"
Modu was the person Tao Zhuo had ntioned earlier. ng Lian thought of the na of that souvenir shop and understood. On the way here, Modu had explained everything to her. That small shop was sothing she had commissioned Tao Zhuo to open, with the purpose of discovering new students with illusion talent.
Modu told ng Lian that she was from the Illusion Academy and wanted to invite ng Lian to join the Illusion Academy in her second year.
The Witch Academy had a five-year curriculum. First-year students did not specialize. They uniformly studied nine subjects: Witch History, Elental Reaction Theory, Potions, Alchemy, Charms, Flying, Divination, Dark Magic Defense, and Transformation. In their second year, they could choose a major based on their interests and talents. Each major corresponded to an academy. The Illusion Academy corresponded to the Illusion major.
The Illusion major had extrely high requirents for talent. Most witches treated it as an elective course. Very few people majored in Illusion.
Because Illusion required such high aptitude, Modu's lineage had very few people. Including her ntor and Senior Sister, there were only four of them.
The academy had assessnts for every major. If a major failed its assessnt, it would be cancelled. The Illusion lineage only had three students, which was the minimum number required for a major. But this year, Modu's Senior Sister was about to graduate. The Illusion lineage would soon not have enough people and faced the predicant of having its course shut down.
At this mont, ng Lian's appearance solved Modu's urgent problem. She extended an invitation to ng Lian, hoping she would join the Illusion Academy.
"I..."
Understanding the full picture, ng Lian fell into thought.
If Modu was not lying to her, then she could smoothly join the Illusion Academy. After all, she had a talent for illusion. She would not need to exhaust herself learning other things. She could use her remaining ti to gather intelligence. That would work well.
Thinking this through, ng Lian looked at Modu and revealed a smile. "Senior Sister Modu, I've thought it through. I agree to join the Illusion Academy."
"Phew."
Hearing ng Lian's words, Modu also let out a breath. The golden light in her eyes dimd considerably.
The mont she saw ng Lian, she had decided that this large-chested golden-haired girl would be her Junior Sister. If ng Lian had not agreed, she had been prepared to trap ng Lian in an illusion, over and over, until ng Lian agreed before releasing her.
Fortunately, ng Lian agreed imdiately. Modu felt relieved, but also a bit regretful.
After all, in the illusion, anything she did to ng Lian would not be rembered by the other party. That ant she could try certain things that adults did together. What a pity.
"Then you are my Junior Sister now. Welco. Let add you to the academy group chat."
Setting aside the wild ideas in her heart, Modu smiled at ng Lian. She added ng Lian as a friend and pulled her into a small group called Illusion Academy Family.
ng Lian could not help but shiver. For so reason, she had just felt a surge of malice. But it ca and went quickly. She was soon attracted by the ssages in the group.
Fei Xing: "Did the Second Senior Sister find a new student? Welco, welco! I have a Junior Sister now too!"
Xian Yun: "Wow, a Junior Sister! Welco, welco! I'm Xian Yun, a fifth-year student and your Senior Sister. The Illusion Academy will depend on you all from now on!"
Zi Yan: "Hm? Modu found a new student? Oh, thank the Original. Thank heaven and earth. We finally don't have to shut down!"
"This Zi Yan is our ntor. That Fei Xing is your Third Senior Sister, a second-year student."
Modu tily introduced them to ng Lian. ng Lian nodded slightly and sent a ssage to the group.
ng Lian: "Hello everyone, I'm ng Lian. Please take care of ."
Zi Yan: "Welco, welco!"
Xian Yun: "Welco, welco!"
Fei Xing: "Welco, welco!"
Modu: "Welco, welco!"
Although there were few people in the Illusion Academy group, they were very enthusiastic. ng Lian chatted with her future Senior Sisters and ntor, and the corners of her mouth curled up slightly.
Across from her, Modu was privately ssaging the people from the Illusion Academy.
Xian Yun: "Junior Sister, what does this Junior Sister look like? Is she cute?"
Modu: "You can co see for yourself tomorrow. She's quite beautiful. I think her personality is nice too."
Xian Yun: "I'm just curious~ Junior Sister, why don't you secretly take a photo of the Junior Sister and show ?"
Modu: "..."
At almost the sa ti, Xian Yun, Fei Xing, and Zi Yan all privately ssaged Modu, demanding ng Lian's photo.
"What's wrong, Senior Sister?"
ng Lian had also changed how she addressed her. She felt Modu looking at her and felt puzzled.
Hearing this "Senior Sister," Modu's heart suddenly beat faster. She coughed and kept her face expressionless. "Nothing. I just noticed it's getting late. Should I take you back?"
ng Lian heard this and looked up at the sky. The sun was high. It was noon. Her face was full of confusion.
Modu used this mont to quickly snap a photo of ng Lian's face and sent it to her Senior Sisters and that improper ntor.
"Pfft! That stacked?"
In an office, a white-haired woman saw ng Lian's photo and stared until her eyes went straight.
Xian Yun: "Damn, this Junior Sister isn't small at all! Slurp, Junior Sister, you hit the jackpot!"
Modu: "..."
Modu looked at these filthy remarks and did not want to talk to these people.
She silently closed her phone and t ng Lian's confused gaze. Her expression did not change. "You're still a new student. You shouldn't stay here too long. Let take you back. After you officially enroll in the Witch Academy, I'll take you around."
"Oh, I see. Thank you, Senior Sister!"
