Izanagi's ability was to turn unfavorable events that happened within a certain ti fra into illusion and convert favorable ones into reality. It was an incredibly powerful ocular technique capable of defying death itself.
But fundantally, Izanagi was not a technique that erged after awakening the Mangekyō Sharingan.
Rather, it was a unique jutsu developed by a genius of the Uchiha clan, who used their personalized version of Izanagi with the Sharingan as a dium and the cost of blindness as the price, creating a ninjutsu exclusive to the Sharingan.
However, Shin's right eye ability involved modifying reality itself, not just in terms of advantage or disadvantage, but altering all aspects of reality. This ocular technique could be used on oneself, others, or even objects.
Shin nad this brand-new eye technique "Kyōka Suigetsu."
The aning was simple. What you saw and believed to have happened may not have been real. Only what he acknowledged as reality was the true reality. Of course, the extent to which reality could be altered depended on the amount of ocular power consud. To reach the level of Izanagi, it might even require going blind again.
This nearly invincible technique in battle, however, was used by him primarily for research.
For example, if a critical experint went wrong and a valuable specin was destroyed, he could instantly use his eye technique to restore the specin to its pre-destruction state.
This wasn't ti manipulation, just the rewriting of reality.
He speculated that his ability to awaken Kyōka Suigetsu was deeply related to his long-standing desire to change his unfortunate circumstances. But now, both of his powerful eyes had been exhausted and gone blind due to overuse.
Yet he wasn't saddened by his blindness. On the contrary, he was incredibly excited. Because in the short span of five months before he went blind, his research achieved unprecedented breakthroughs.
During this ti, he also conducted nurous analyses of Hashirama cells, finally uncovering their secrets and saving countless experints and ti. To conduct relevant experints, he went to other shinobi villages in search of materials and managed to capture a White Zetsu sent by Madara to gather intel.
He found that White Zetsu was truly a rare experintal specin, every cell was a treasure.
So when Shin said he would fully regain his vision within a year, without fear of going blind again, he wasn't joking. He was absolutely confident he could achieve it. And unlike Obito, he wouldn't have to turn half of his body into a monster.
As he thought about his plans for the future, Shin and Tsunade left the underground research base.
Today, they were heading out.
The reason? To attend Sakumo's wedding.
Sakumo, who had been keeping a close eye on Shin for nearly five years, had also been quietly watching Nao, a nurse from Konoha Hospital, for three years. As a man who appeared serious but was actually reserved and shy, he hadn't spoken a single word to his crush in four years, just silently watched her from afar.
Fortunately, half a year ago, under Shin's arrangents, Sakumo left the ANBU and was finally free. At that ti, he promised Sakumo he would introduce him to Nao and even put in a good word for him.
After Sakumo stopped monitoring Shin and returned ho, he felt as if the whole world was filled with the scent of love. But he waited and waited, for an entire month, and Shin never showed up.
Eventually, he couldn't stand it anymore and went to Tsunade to explain everything. At that point, Sakumo wanted nothing more than to stab Shin twice.
Tsunade was extrely surprised when she heard Sakumo's story. She had known that Shin and Sakumo had an unusually deep and strange friendship, but she never imagined there was such a promise between them.
When she confird it with him that night, he slapped his thigh in regret. Half a month of passionate romance, followed by half a month of intense research, he had completely and utterly forgotten about Sakumo.
No wonder he had been feeling like sothing was missing during that ti. Turns out, it was the absence of soone secretly watching him.
But then again, why did he feel so free and at ease?
Indeed, life without Sakumo was the good life. Still, a promise was a promise, and it needed to be fulfilled. Shin himself couldn't make a public appearance, after all, he and Sakumo were officially at odds.
So with Tsunade playing matchmaker, Sakumo and Nao finally t. Thanks to a classic heroic-rescue mont, his good looks, a naturally warm personality, and even so cooking skills that even Shin had to admire, not to ntion the many kind words Tsunade put in, Sakumo won Nao's heart in just two months, and they beca a couple.
And now, they were straight-up getting married.
Looks like I need to step up my ga with Tsunade too, Shin thought to himself.
But he'd have to wait a little longer. Even though Tsunade likely didn't care, Shin didn't want people saying she married a blind man.
As soon as his eyesight returned, he would propose imdiately.
---
At that mont, the courtyard of Sakumo's house had already been set up with banquet tables, just waiting for guests to arrive. By the ti Shin and Tsunade entered, half the seats were already filled.
Nearly everyone was montarily stunned upon seeing Shin. They had nearly forgotten soone like him even existed in Konoha.
In the past six months, he had almost completely disappeared from public view and hadn't been seen in public with Tsunade at all. Seeing Shin being led in by Tsunade, many people found it strange. They had thought the two of them had broken up, or that he had died. But not only was he still alive, the two of them even looked just as sweet as before.
But… how did he go blind?
From a distance, Sakumo spotted Shin and imdiately beca excited. Ever since Shin had demonstrated miraculous powers and helped him fulfill a lifelong dream, he had deeply admired him.
But with so many people watching, he put on a show of irritation and walked over with Nao.
"Lady Tsunade!" Nao greeted respectfully.
"Doctor Shin!" she then turned toward Shin and gave a small bow.
As a forr colleague and her idol, even after so long, Nao still held great respect for Shin. But in the next second, Sakumo turned to Shin and said, "Didn't expect you to actually show up!"
"Why wouldn't I co and soak up so good fortune?" Shin replied with a smirk. "Besides, I even brought a gift."
He shook the present in his hand.
"You think a gift makes up for everything? You still owe for what you pulled back then, I haven't even settled that with you."
"Oh? You planning to pick a fight with on your wedding day?"
Though their voices weren't loud, the odd tension between them quickly drew so attention.
Shin was speechless. Sure, they had agreed to keep up the act of being on bad terms in public… But did he really have to pick his own wedding day for it?
What kind of idiot move was that?
