At the various front-line camps of the Land of Fire, the ninjas had all received their new equipnt.
Looking at the gear brimming with a sense of advanced technology, many of them felt an intense sense of unreality.
This world had gone mad.
They truly never expected that Konoha's technology had advanced to such a degree, so far ahead of the tis that they couldn't even asure the gap. Not only that, but their combat capabilities had been greatly enhanced.
At this mont, every front-line Konoha ninja was clad in a combat suit that was both extrely high in defense and remarkably lightweight. It also included combat gloves and boots designed to boost explosive strength.
So ninjas, driven by curiosity, tested the suit's defense, kunai and shuriken could only leave scratches on it.
The suit wasn't just strong in defense; it also made their chakra flow more smoothly within their bodies, amplifying the power of their jutsu.
It could be said that this set of ninja gear alone more than doubled the combat effectiveness of every Konoha ninja, while also greatly increasing their survival rate.
And it wasn't just the combat suits, each person also received a tactical backpack, or more precisely, a storage backpack.
The storage backpack worked on the sa principle as storage scrolls, but was far more advanced and convenient.
The backpack ca with its own internal space capable of holding large amounts of supplies.
Inside were already stored food, dical kits, and ninja tool pouches.
The food was primarily soldier pills.
These Konoha soldier pills had been upgraded many tis, delicious and filling, and upon eating them, one's stamina and chakra recovery were astonishing.
The dicines had also evolved. The original Konoha White dicine and Konoha Black dicine had gone through countless iterations.
For most injuries, a dical-nin wasn't even needed anymore, after applying them externally or taking them internally, one could be up and moving in no ti.
Next, each person was equipped with a brand-new radio communicator.
From the outside, the communicator looked like a simple bracelet, but it could constantly monitor the wearer's condition, even their life signs.
It also enabled smooth communication between teammates, between squads, and between squads and headquarters.
As for weapons, each ninja was issued a chakra pistol to replace the kunai.
The bullets fired from a chakra pistol could have their power adjusted depending on how much chakra was infused, and different chakra natures would produce different types of injury or killing effects.
Its power far exceeded that of a chanical pistol, and kunai or shuriken couldn't even compare.
Of course, it wasn't just pistols, so were also issued rifles and sniper rifles.
In addition, there were chakra flash grenades, chakra hand grenades, and more.
The power of chakra grenades was far beyond that of ordinary gunpowder grenades, in both blast radius and lethality, they were dozens of tis stronger, and could even have their detonation ti controlled through chakra.
The most unbelievable part was that their combat suits and tactical backpacks were chakra-bound.
In other words, as long as they were alive, only they could use them, if soone else took them, they would be useless.
And if they were unfortunately killed, the information would imdiately be transmitted to the rear via their bracelet, and headquarters would directly summon their combat suit and tactical backpack back through summoning techniques, giving the enemy no chance to use them.
What's more, Shin and Minato had engraved Flying Thunder God marks on this equipnt, so if a Konoha ninja was killed, the enemy might "win" a one-on-one encounter with Minato or Shin themselves.
And this was just the individual gear.
Many parts of the camps were also equipped with chakra cannons. These fired chakra crystal shells, and when powered by chakra, a single shot could wipe out an entire area.
All of this had been developed long ago by Shin and Orochimaru, mass-produced in preparation for exactly this day, though they had never brought it out before.
However, because Shin and Minato had already installed new sensory amplifiers across every border, and with Minato personally stationed on the front lines to instantly eliminate any detected enemy intrusions, the front-line situation in Konoha remained completely unknown to the other ninja villages.
---
In the Hokage's office, at the mont, a new desk had been added opposite Tsunade's own.
Shin sat at that desk, continuously issuing combat orders based on the various reports coming in from the front lines.
During a brief lull, Tsunade asked in puzzlent, "Are you sure you're not going to the front this ti?"
"No need." Shin shook his head with a smile. "My mission this ti is just one thing, to protect you and Konoha."
"The Allied Forces of the Ten Great Ninja Villages aren't scary. The unknown enemy is what's truly scary."
"You an Isshiki?" Tsunade asked.
"Exactly. That guy will definitely take the opportunity to act," Shin replied. "With Minato leading a squad to support every battlefield, and Madara holding the line, nothing will go wrong."
At the ntion of Madara, Tsunade couldn't help feeling a pang of emotion.
It was only yesterday that she learned he was still alive, and had even returned to Konoha.
At first, she thought she'd misheard. It wasn't until she saw him in person that she was convinced it was real.
Even now, she still hadn't recovered from the shock.
This was way too surreal.
If she hadn't refused, Shin had even planned to use Edo Tensei to bring her grandfather and granduncle back to join the war.
"This is Headquarters. Co in, Sakumo," Shin said, not wasting any ti as he began giving orders again.
"This is Sakumo from Camp Three, over," ca Sakumo's familiar voice from the radio.
"What's the situation over there?"
"The A ninja army has fully gathered at the border. So Kumo and Iwa ninjas are also heading toward A's camp. Over."
"Good. The bomber squadron has already taken off from Air Force Base Four. Imdiately provide exact coordinates. The planes will begin a high-altitude bombing run over that area in one hour."
"Once the bombing is over, follow the original plan and wipe out the survivors."
"Roger that, over."
---
At Camp Three, after ending the call, Sakumo suddenly chuckled to himself.
He recalled the strategy eting in Konoha's conference room, when Shin revealed the photos of the bombers he had prepared, everyone had been stunned.
Not only the entire shinobi world, but even they themselves had been completely in the dark. No one had imagined Konoha's technology had advanced to such a terrifying level.
In fact, they hadn't even heard of sothing called an airplane before.
After hearing Shin's explanation of the bombers' capabilities, they didn't know what to say, eventually, all they could do was exclaim "incredible" and agree that this war no longer had any suspense.
Only Shin knew the truth: his bombers were actually rather ordinary.
Engines on par with those from his past life were enough to give even him a headache, and he didn't have the ti to study them in depth.
So, while the aircraft looked like sleek modern planes, their engines were actually driven by chakra-powered machinery. Their top speed was only on par with second-generation jets from his previous world, and their bomb load was diocre.
If not for the overwhelming destructive power of the bombs he'd designed, the bombers would be nothing more than oversized birds.
"This is Headquarters. Co in, Support Squad, Minato," Shin said, once again contacting the front.
"What's up?" Minato's voice ca through.
"The bombers from Air Force Base Four have already taken off. You are to escort them. As for your squad mbers, have them provide support freely for now."
"Roger that!"
