Sobek had observed everything in [Ambush] mode. When the humans finally finished their chores and returned to the ship, he allowed himself to yell a big: "What the fuck!?"

Ian Malcolm? Was that na he had heard really what he imagined? And that girl who was next to him, why was she so similar to Sarah Hardy? What was it, a giant mockery? Why on earth had the Jurassic Park characters suddenly appeared in his way?

"Maybe they are reincarnations" he thought. "God said that the humans of the Earth, where I lived before, had the gift of seeing with their imagination the events of other worlds, and that all stories are therefore true. This ans that sowhere there is a universe where the events of Jurassic Park really happened. Could these Ian Malcolm and Sarah Hardy be the reincarnation of that character? Or maybe these are their original selves, and the Jurassic Park characters are their future reincarnations... after all, ti works bizarre when we talk about these things. Aaaaah! Too many questions!"

In fact, however, it remained the only logical option. Even bringing up the homonymy, the coincidences were too many: those people talked like them, dressed like them and even in appearance they were really similar... if they had been reincarnations, however, they would have had to change their na, as had made him.

"Wait" Sobek thought. "I changed my na because God allowed to rember so things, and so I had to forget my identity in another way. But after all, if when a soul is reincarnated it forgets everything, then there is no point in choosing. another na... it may very well keep what it already has, it won't rember wearing it in a previous life". He rubbed his muzzle as he made his brain work. "As for their behavior, well, it's normal since we're talking about the sa person. Even if a person suffers from amnesia, their tastes and speech remain the sa. For looks, however... well , I imagine that after a while God has finished the bodies to propose and has recycled the models she already used... after all, if there are more than one hundred billion universes, she will not always be able to invent a new body for each soul, can she?"

He shook her head. The reasoning made sense, but not being able to prove it bothered him. 'Damn it, God! Of all the worlds you could have them reincarnated into, which one did you choose? Admit it, you're doing it on purpose!' he cursed the divinity.

Sure, these Sarah Hardy and Ian Malcolm had probably had different lives than the original ones. Sarah was probably a biologist, since there was no concept of extinction in that world and therefore there was no paleontology either. As for Ian... what was Ian Malcolm in the world of Jurassic Park? Sobek had never really understood this. He had always seed to him a troublemaker with a high opinion of himself. He had never been able to figure out exactly what kind of scientist he was.

Other than that, though, they were their copies popped up! And they weren't alone: even though he hadn't heard their nas, Sobek recognized Nick, Eddie and Roland, all characters from Jurassic Park 2! Was it really a coincidence that they had all reincarnated in the sa world? Only Alan Grant, Eddie Sattler, John Hammond, Claire Dearing and Owen Grady were missing. He wished there wasn't a Henry Wu in that world too who would start creating an Indominus Rex or an Indoraptor!

'No more questions or I'll go crazy here!' Sobek thought tired of reasoning. There was no point in continuing to puzzle over: no matter how many theories he ca up with, he had no way of verifying them. He could only accept reality as it was. In spite of this, he felt made fun of! It was as if he heard behind him the laughter of that evil deity who made fun of him! 'I am beginning to understand why souls have to forget their previous life in order to reincarnate. If they rembered it, they would notice how God is a joke freak!'

At least one positive thing he had received from that story: he had finally unlocked so boxes of the [Weapons system]. Thanks to the weapons brought by Roland and his n three boxes had unlocked, finally providing him with so firearms.

Sobek was surprised how the rifles and submachine guns were designed to fit the dinosaur's body perfectly: they were bigger and had several ropes to tie around the animal, so that it could better support its weight. They also did not fire thanks to the trigger, but had levers that could be operated with the muzzle or by another smaller dinosaur mounted on the back of the larger one.

He had also unlocked a rocket launcher. He had been surprised by the weapon: depending on the dinosaur he wanted to deliver it to, it could look like a normal rocket launcher or a real volley of missiles placed on the back of a sauropod.

Unfortunately, all those weapons did not provide the firepower he desired. He wanted more, sothing stronger that could be compared to tanks. However, he could only find such power by looking at a tank, which ant having to challenge an army, or die.

Unless... he dictated the rules. If he had studied a way to gain the advantage, then the cards would have changed... and if he had chosen the right battlefield, he would have had many areas to take refuge and prevented tanks and military helicopters from acting as they wanted...

A crazy idea began to form in his mind. Until a few months ago he would have called himself crazy for just thinking about it, but now, with all the skills he possessed, he saw only an opportunity. Had he done it right, he could have unlocked most of the [Weapon system] boxes, gained nurous followers, and gained enough fa for another evolution...

It was a risky plan, but after all, those who take no risks don't win. Too much caution was sotis excessive and restraining. If he wanted to progress he had to take so risks: every lost hour accelerated the destruction of the forest, he could not act too slowly.

He quickly went back to Buck, who on seeing him imdiately stood up: "What happens?" he asked in trepidation.

"We have a problem, but don't worry: at least for the mont it's not about you. However, I will have to assent mysef for a while" Sobek explained.

"Assent you? What do you an?" the young tyrannosaurus asked.

"You see, those who arrived today are little beings called humans. Even if they look small, they are very dangerous and could kill you too" Sobek said. "I intend to let them capture "

Buck shook himself, not so much at the news of the humans (the t-rex had long since learned not to associate size with dangerousness, so he had no problem believing that a small but deadly creature exists), but more because of intentions. from Sobek: "Do you want to let them eat you?"

Sobek realized that the tyrannosaurus had misunderstood. "Of course not! Humans don't catch animals to eat them... at least not always. They take them alive and display them as trophies"

"But it doesn't make sense. Why do they do it?"

"Because they are stupid... and because they don't have much regard for other lifeforms"

"And do you want to get caught?"

"No. I want them to believe they caught . See, humans have sothing I want. I intend to have them take to their lair, and once there I will show them that I am by no ans an easy prey as they think"

Following the prey to find its lair was a rational behavior for Buck; being carried directly by the prey was no different. However, Buck could not comprehend the existence of creatures willingly bringing a potentially dangerous predator to their lair. "I understand. How long will you be away?"

"I don't know. Probably a lot. But don't worry: you'll have a way to know I'm fine" Sobek replied. "The gifts I have bestowed on you will continue to exist as long as I am alive and unhard. So as long as your bite is strong and the skin hard, you will know that I am fine"

That was enough for Buck. From his point of view, his pack leader was simply going hunting. It was normal to be absent for long periods at tis. He was worried about him, but if he really could make sure of his condition that way, then he had nothing to fear.

Actually Sobek had lied: the sharing of skills would only have stopped if he died, so even if he was injured Buck would not have noticed. However, he wanted to be sure that he didn't try to look for him, so he had told that little lie: after all he could have been absent even for months, Buck in all that ti could have convinced himself that he was a prisoner or wounded and decided to look for him. "When I order it, you will have to go to the interior of the forest. You will have to stay there for a week, then you will have to co every day to the lake, at the point where we killed the manchisaurus, during the sunset. When I return we will et there"

"All right. I will do it" Buck said. "Do I have to do sothing else?"

"Just keep yourself strong. And eat regularly" Sobek joked.

Buck caught the irony and let out an amused growl. "I will miss you, pack leader"

"You too. Don't worry, this isn't a goodbye. I know what I'm doing" Sobek replied. "Let's go. I want to hunt as much as possible before I get caught. I want to maximize my powers, so we will hunt day and night! Co on, take to other carnivores!"

The two predators imdiately set off and they quickly disappeared into the thick of the forest.
