“The second assassin?” Only after the brief battle was over did ng Jingtian finally exhale. Muttering to himself, he opened up the forums and found the topic that Godslayer Hall had nad after him.
A day had passed, and many new events had happened in the ga. At this ti, another one of Bai Xiaosheng’s posts had taken the top spot.
But Godslayer Hall’s post was still on the first page, and that unique bloody font made it instantly recognizable.
ng Jingtian opened the topic and refreshed a few tis. As expected, he soon saw an update to the post.
Huang Chao’an truly had been the second assassin dispatched by Godslayer Hall.
Two failed assassinations in a row once more made the topic popular, and many spectators began to chatter about ng Jingtian.
Several bored people even posted so of the info they had gathered on ng Jingtian.
For example, he was first on the level rankings, and he had stolen a boss at Seaside City from five big guilds and had thrown their players into jail. This only made everyone more curious about ng Jingtian. In a flash, ng Jingtian beca a celebrity in the ga.
“It seems that I really need to join a faction soon.” ng Jingtian bitterly smiled as he returned to the ga.
That Huang Chao’an had been a player who had learned faction skills, and his damage was much higher than the first assassin’s, and he also had more skills at his disposal. If not for the skills attached to ng Jingtian’s equipnt, he might have died.
Once he had cald down, ng Jingtian sent a ssage to Cai Minghou. “Little Hou! Did you hand in the mission? Do you know where Qian Kun Monastery is?”
The old Daoist Master Tian Yuan’s mission had not marked anything on his map. He had to find Qian Kun Monastery himself.
After all, this was a chain mission. It couldn’t be sothing as simple as running around. There had to be so level of difficulty to it.
“I handed it in, but…” Cai Minghou was sowhat hesitant to speak.
“What? Is there a follow-up mission?” ng Jingtian asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Mm! King Pingwu issued a mission for to get rid of the remaining bandits at Cool Breeze Camp,” Cai Minghou said with a bitter laugh.
This mission wasn’t as difficult as the first one, but it was still not sothing Cai Minghou could currently accomplish.
Although the two of them had been bosom gaming buddies for many years, Cai Minghou truly felt embarrassed to ask for ng Jingtian’s help again. After all, the early stage of the ga was a golden era for developnt. ng Jingtian had his own things that he needed to do.
“That’s easy to do. Once I get back, we can finish this mission together. First, ask around for any information on Qian Kun Monastery.” ng Jingtian wasn’t that worried. There was no such thing as being delayed. Weren’t friends supposed to do all they could to help each other?
“Alright! Is Qian Kun Monastery a hidden faction?” Cai Minghou curiously asked after agreeing.
“It’s just for a chain mission. I still don’t know if it’s a hidden faction!” ng Jingtian shrugged as he replied.
As the two were chatting, another person sent ng Jingtian a ssage, much to his confusion. Who else besides Cai Minghou would send him a ssage?
Upon opening the ssage, he discovered that it was from Zhang Defa, the player he had sold the Frozen Sword Token to. “Boss, I’ve got a treasure here! Are you interested in going after it?”
“Treasure?” ng Jingtian stroked his chin. Normally, treasures in gas were pretty good, and since Zhang Defa had chosen to invite him, it was probably sothing he couldn’t handle by himself, so the rewards were probably decent.
“Can you give the details?” ng Jingtian soon replied.
“It’s a treasure map that I got from a faction mission issued by the sect master. Apparently, it’s where a senior of the Frozen Sword Sect sealed himself away to die. I went over to take a look, but just the monsters on the periter were Level 25. I couldn’t get in at all,” Zhang Defa explained.
“I can go, but how are we dividing the treasure?” ng Jingtian asked after so thought. If the monsters on the periter were Level 25, in this early stage of the ga, the treasure had to be pretty good.
“Forty-sixty!” Zhang Defa replied.
“Forty-sixty?” ng Jingtian asked. He had expected 55.
“You’re the sixty!” Zhang Defa sent over a smiley. “I was only able to get my hands on this map because of your Frozen Sword Token that let beco the First Senior Brother of the Frozen Sword Sect. Ordinary disciples can’t even et the sect master.”
ng Jingtian was taken aback, and then he bitterly smiled. Was this what it ant for a petty-minded person to try and fathom the actions of a gentleman?
This Zhang Defa was very easy to work with. The average person would never propose this.
“Alright! I have two missions to do, so I’ll co over once they’re done!” ng Jingtian replied, all his apprehensions gone.
ng Jingtian soon returned to Black Tortoise City and paid a visit to the Golden Goose rcenary Company.
Cai Minghou was the Second Young Master of the Golden Goose Company, and he seed very confident and energetic. Knowing that ng Jingtian was coming, he had ordered the employees of the company to stand in the company’s courtyard to welco him!
“Welco, Young Master ng!” the NPCs shouted as soon as he walked in.
The corner of ng Jingtian’s mouth twitched. He knew without thinking that this was Cai Minghou’s idea.
“How is it? Aweso, right?” Cai Minghou chuckled as he walked out with two NPCs in black uniforms.
The two attendants seed cold and formidable, but ng Jingtian looked at their info and saw that they were only Level 15, and their stats were also nothing to write ho about. They were rather lacking compared to other NPCs, so they were probably Cai Minghou’s reward for the mission.
“When did you start suffering from middle-schooler syndro?” ng Jingtian was sowhat speechless.
“Impossible! Middle-schooler syndro is a state of mind!” Cai Minghou shook his head.
“Do you have any information on Qian Kun Monastery?”
“I do have so, but it’s not an easy place to get to!” Cai Minghou shook his head again.
“Where is it?” ng Jingtian pressed.
“To the east of Black Tortoise City, about one hundred li away, are the Hidden Dragon Mountains. Qian Kun Monastery is at the very tippy-top of one of those mountains. I also heard that the Hidden Dragon Mountains have nothing but Level 40 to 50 monsters. It’s not a place we can go to.” Cai Minghou continued to shake his head as he spoke.
“Eh? You found the place so quickly? You’ve got so skill!” ng Jingtian looked at Cai Minghou in astonishnt.
“Haha, I bought it from Bai Xiaosheng,” Cai Minghou scratched his head and frankly smiled.
ng Jingtian shot him a helpless glance. He just knew that Cai Minghou wasn’t that good. “How much was it? I’ll send it over!”
“There’s no need. If not for Brother Tian’s help, I would definitely have had to restart. What’s so information between friends?” Cai Minghou waved his hands.
“We’re brothers, so is there any need for things to be so business-like between us?” ng Jingtian knew that he wanted to return the favor, so he could only sigh.
“This isn’t any sort of business transaction. I just feel that Brother Tian has always been onesidedly helping , and I couldn’t stand it,” Cai Minghou earnestly explained.
“Let’s go! I’ll help you with your mission!” ng Jingtian patted Cai Minghou on the shoulder, dropping the matter.
