The Alliance and The Church Join Forces
Lore sat quietly in his study.
Only the desk lamp before him was lit, illuminating just half of his face.
“Things seem to have exceeded our expectations. He wasn’t like this before,” Lore said, his voice calm, as if stating the most normal thing in the world.
After a mont of silence in the study, a hoarse voice sounded from behind him.
“Isn’t that your son? To think even you could misjudge soone.”
The other party chuckled lightly, seemingly mocking Lore for being unable to control even his own son.
Lore didn’t get angry. Instead, he replied calmly, “His current strength is considerable. Even among the freshn at Saint Nad Magic Academy, he ranks among the best. With just that status alone, making him fall into despair seems rather impossible.”
After hearing about the battle between Henry and Luning, and then learning that Henry had killed many capable cultists, the most crucial point was that he actually managed to defeat Queen Eliana!
No matter what thods he used, the result was that a high-level magician was defeated by soone without any magical talent.
That in itself was an absurdity.
“Lore, I don’t care how you do it, but you promised us you would make him despair.”

Sidney pushed the door open and entered, followed by a wounded Luning.

Sidney was surprised that the Family Head wasn’t criticizing Luning, but was instead comforting him.

“Family Head, I want to prove to everyone that your choice back then was not a mistake! Especially to Henry! I don’t want to be trampled under his feet!”
“Then you should focus more on improving yourself steadily. Accepting the current reality isn’t a bad thing. Henry has truly surprised all of us, hasn’t he?”
Lore didn’t show any trace of urgency.
This only made Luning feel more guilty.
Even though the Family Head had given him ample ti and the utmost tolerance.

Luning began to fall into deep self-doubt.
Sidney, standing to the side, saw the situation clearly.

Luning’s eyes were red, his gaze filled with madness.

Hearing Luning’s words, Lore narrowed his eyes slightly, a faint smile curling on his lips.

At this mont, Luning completely saw Lore as his savior.
Soone who constantly accepted him and could make him stronger – why shouldn’t he follow such a person with his very life?

Hearing this, Lore looked at Sidney, signaling for him to leave.
