Chapter 115
I Will Grant You Release
“Looking at the level of destruction, it should be at the level of a High-level Magician, right?” The teachers below the stage stared intently at the situation on the platform, their expressions grave.
They were all worried about the trend this was taking.
Now, Henry was the only one left within the mory fragnt.
The other students who had been held up in the forest had also been eliminated by the Red-clothed elf’s flas.
“He’s done remarkably well to get this far. It seems he’s among the best of the freshn.”
“After all, the events recorded in these mory fragnts are all major incidents from across the entire continent. They aren’t things a student can change single-handedly.”
They all understood this, yet they also agreed with Principal rlin’s approach.
Only by witnessing the most dangerous situations would they learn to maintain a healthy respect for danger in the future.
“It’s too dangerous to let Henry continue like this.”
Professor Reina wanted to stand up and halt everything within the mory fragnt.
After all, the lethality of high-level and low-level magic was completely different. If Henry took a direct hit from the Red-clothed elf, he would likely be psychologically scarred.
Just like what Henry had done to Luning earlier.
Even after returning to reality, Luning would still retain the sensation of that death.
“Professor Reina, do you really have so little confidence in your student?”
“I just don’t want Henry to face such a powerful enemy at this stage! This isn’t an enemy he can handle at all!”
“And what about last ti? When facing the Puppet, didn’t he also display abilities far beyond the ordinary?”
rlin seed to be full of confidence in Henry.
Reina looked at rlin strangely. She wasn’t clear where rlin’s confidence in Henry ca from?
Facing his student’s gaze, rlin smiled.
“Wasn’t it you who told a student might clear this stage? Why is it that you yourself don’t believe it now?”
“I…”
Reina was left speechless and could only sit back down in her seat helplessly.
However, she truly was looking forward to Henry clearing this test, as it was related to his future ranking within the Academy.
Those students didn’t seem to realize that this test was actually a ranking of their own abilities.
Those who didn’t take it seriously would have to wait for the next opportunity.
Returning to the scene…
At this mont, Henry was already locked in combat with the Red-clothed elf.
Cataclysm materialized as a golden longsword in his hand, clashing violently with the Red-clothed elf!
The Red-clothed elf let out an inhuman shriek, its flapping wings creating a scorching tornado of flas that surged towards Henry!
Henry’s gaze sharpened. The golden longsword in his hand transford into a pillar of golden light that shot skyward.
The pillar and the tornado collided violently. The shockwave from the massive explosion sent the surrounding charred trees flying. Henry staggered back through the smoke, a trickle of blood spilling from the corner of his mouth.
‘As expected of a High-level entity. I used nearly my full strength just now, and I was almost instantly defeated by a single blow.’
This ti, he couldn’t rely on Jessica to buy him ti to charge an attack like last ti.
Ordinary techniques simply couldn’t deal significant damage to the Red-clothed elf.
The Red-clothed elf’s figure slowly descended to the ground, but Henry clearly saw tears hanging at the corners of her eyes, as if she were weeping.
“I… don’t want to… hurt anyone else anymore!”
She knelt on one knee, roaring frantically.
Blazing flas erupted around her, relentlessly scorching everything nearby.
Henry could tell she was trying to resist this power, but due to its sheer magnitude, she couldn’t control herself.
She looked at Henry, begging in a hoarse voice.
“Please… kill …”
Hearing her plea, Henry fell silent.
But the Red-clothed elf stood up again, her hands beginning to gather flas of destructive magnitude.
“I would rather die with dignity than be controlled into harming others’ lives. Otherwise, what difference is there between and those people?”
Even now, this Red-clothed elf before him was clinging to the last shreds of her reason.
Her kind side seed to surpass everyone’s expectations. This also made many people realize — when she caused such a serious incident back then, just what kind of pain had she been carrying when she died?
“This is your wish?”
Henry’s hair fell over his eyes, obscuring his gaze from the view.
He silently took out two potions from within his clothes and opened them.
One of the teachers imdiately recognized what they were.
“Isn’t that the Mana Enhancent Potion Erika made? And there were only two of them! How did they end up in his hands?”
The speaker was Erika’s Alchemy teacher.
What puzzled him was, how did Henry know Erika?
Erika usually didn’t like socializing, spending all her free ti experinting in the Research Lab.
Though he didn’t seem to know yet that his prized student was about to change career paths.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t just be looking at Henry with surprise.
Henry drank the Mana Enhancent Potions one after the other.
Simultaneously, he could feel his body seemingly flooded with various forces. It felt like magma was rushing through his ridians, and veins bulged beneath his skin!
His gamble had paid off!
Initially, he hadn’t been sure if the Mana Enhancent Potion would work on him.
After all, he possessed no Magical power.
But right now, it seed he had no other choice. He could only use this thod for one final strike.
At this mont, Henry could feel the Spiritual Energy within him surging like a torrent. At the sa ti, his eyes erupted with a dazzling golden light, and the Cataclysm in his hand flickered incessantly.
He was betting all his hopes on this single strike.
Sotis, life required a grand gamble.
If he succeeded, he could liberate this kind-hearted girl before him.
Seeing her tear-streaked face, Henry didn’t want her to suffer any longer, to live a lifeti of guilt.
“I will grant you release!”
As the words fell, the golden longsword in his hand blazed with intense light, and the Cataclysm within him operated frantically.
He swung his sword fiercely. A golden Sword Energy, like a waterfall, slashed towards the Red-clothed elf!
The Red-clothed elf raised a hand to block it, but the mont the sword light made contact, a clear dragon’s roar shook her, causing the black wings on her back to crack, while the demonic aura on her body continuously dissolved.
Her pupils contracted sharply. Instinctively, she erected a barrier of flas in front of her!
Henry roared. The Cataclysm within him actually transford into a golden dragon that surged out from his body at this mont!
The longsword in his hand also transford into the phantom of a giant dragon, violently crashing into the fla barrier.
The residual waves from the violent collision of energies caused the ground within a hundred-ter radius to completely shatter. Blazing flas and golden light interwove, illuminating their contrasting expressions.
Henry’s face was filled with resolve.
A look of relief actually appeared on the Red-clothed elf’s face.
The Red-clothed elf was sent flying by the residual shockwave, crashing heavily against a destroyed giant tree before falling to the ground.
Henry, anwhile, knelt on one knee, gasping for breath heavily.
But at this mont, he didn’t feel any Side Effects.
It seed that building a good relationship with Erika was truly the right decision!
