"I agree. We should at least let him know what we are doing. It would be bad if we went through all this trouble, only to get scolded in the end."
"I second that!"
Quite a few researchers agreed that they should at least update their boss about these things, instead of keeping them a surprise.
"Do you think the boss doesn’t know the features we are adding? The only reason he didn’t tell us to add anything extra, is because it’s a test!"
"A test?"
"Exactly! If I’m not wrong about his intentions, then it’s because he wanted to see how intelligent we are, and if we can understand his intentions! So you better add as many things as we can!"
Yelina’s voice was so loud that even those researchers that were feeling sleepy, were wide awake.
"Don’t forget! We are working for the man that is known as a once in a millennium genius! We must not make a mistake! After we succeed, our lives will also change! It’s for our future!" she exclaid.
"I understand," the male researcher nodded. "I’ll work on the stability while keeping all the defensive features, and maybe add a few things that we haven’t thought of yet!"
"If I have to, I will put funds from my own pocket! Let’s see it to the end!"
There was a loud cheer in the lab.
"At this rate, these clothes might even be more useful than Hero Guild’s Armor. "
"Of course they will be. Don’t underestimate our combined intelligence! We will make it so that the person wearing our full collection can even survive nuclear explosions!"
"The world laughed at us because they didn’t understand our passion projects! They called us idiots! We will show them that we aren’t failures!"
Yelina clenched her fist, tossing it into the air. "With Lord Leo’s guidance, we will create the greatest invention earth has ever seen, after the miraculous elixirs of course."
Once again, the entire lab was filled with cheers.
anwhile, the real intern was standing at the entrance outside, looking at the broken door.
"Am I in the wrong place?"
....
Leo was satisfied with his inspection. In fact, he was so pleased that he was already looking forward to continuing the credits that he was going to get as a reward at the end of next month.
This month was already a lost case since he was in profit because of shares sale. But next week, he was going to waste close to a billion. In an instant, his personal wealth would rise by two billion.
"It will be the first ti I achieve a loss of a billion. I wonder if that will count as an achievent. Will I get another skill? I really can’t wait."
The chickens hadn’t even given eggs, yet he was already thinking about the seasoning he was going to put on the olet.
Leo returned to the Necropolis Ship, which had beco his shortcut to travel from one part of earth to another, going back and forth.
.....
Few weeks later~
Another month had passed, and it was almost ti for another settlent from the system.
Throughout these weeks, Leo didn’t just waste his ti though. He kept checking up with Viserl, to see if there were any clues about Kaelus.
Unfortunately, neither Kaelus nor Timmy was found. The only point worth consolation was that Timmy was believed to be with Kaelus, so his safety was more or less guaranteed.
There were only a few people in this universe that could threaten Kaelus, especially after knowing his identity.
In that regard, no news was actually good news. It ant that they hadn’t faced any danger where their identity would be exposed.
"I wonder if they just ran away together. Could Timmy be interested in Kaelus? Not that I just inter-species relationships. But with an undead..."
"I wonder what Voldred will say if it’s actually true. His son left ho, and returned with a living son-in-law? Will he flip out?"
Leo was standing on the balcony, overlooking a vast landscape of snow. He had made this place into his new ho since it was quite similar to earth, albeit stuck in an older period of growth.
By earth’s standards, this planet was at the sa stage of evolution that earth was in the early 2000s, almost a thousand years ago.
Leo had only heard about that era, but seeing it with his own eyes was truly a new experience.
"I wonder if this is also a normal part of evolution that earth went through? The entire planet is covered in a blanket of snow, and the temperature just keeps falling with each passing day."
In the last few weeks, settling down in this place wasn’t the only thing he had done. He had been keeping an eye on the portfolio of Fiona Lionel, in which he had also invested close to five hundred million credits.
Throughout this ti, no other accident as drastic as the Triton Industries occurred, making it look like that company had truly received so crazy multiplier of his passive skill.
The other companies, although they didn’t lose any lives, had started to lose money, and the problems only grew stronger as ti passed.
Fiona even tried to pull her money out of those failing companies and invest elsewhere, but Leo followed her investnt and did the sa.
In just three weeks, Fiona’s net worth had fallen by close to twenty percent.
For Leo, it wasn’t significant. But for Fiona whose net worth was in trillions, this was a significant blow, enough to alert her family.
Other than ssing with Fiona’s luck, Leo also spent his ti perfecting the plan on the factory that was going to buy for his invisible clothing line production.
He had even found the number of organizations that allowed him to hire online trolls to fan the flas at a mont’s notice.
Everything was in place. All that was needed was for the month to change so that a new cycle could begin in his system without the burden of the 1.5 billion profit from this cycle.
[Congratulations Host, you have completed the third month]
[Your rewards are being calculated...]
"Finally!" Leo exclaid as the screen appeared once more.
[Monthly Evaluation has been completed]

"With this, I can finally go on a spending spree! Let’s waste so money!"
Throughout the last month, his fingers had been itching to waste so company funds. Finally, he could relieve that itch, and erase that disgusting thing called a positive balance from his company accounts.
