"That is precisely why you would have ended up snoring on the floor with the rest of them, you brute," Ulen countered, his eyes fixed on the frozen image of the green seed.

He leaned closer to the projection.

"Fascinating. The energy signature... it isn’t magical, nor is it strictly technological. It’s biological manipulation at a terrifyingly advanced level."

"He called Junior," Trent said from behind the desk, his fingers tapping on the desk. "And he left in an Alpha Corp ship that I can’t find in the database. If he’s one of Leo’s n, why didn’t I know him? And more importantly, why is he looking for Leo now?"

Ulen straightened up his robe. "To answer that question would an knowing every secret of Leo Vanderlen. Which of us can claim to know everything about him?"

"So what do we do?" Yang demanded, slamming a fist into his open palm. "Sit around and wait for more masked freaks to drop by and put people to sleep?"

"No," Trent said, his eyes hardening. "We tighten the security. Yang, I want the Iron Heart’s anti-air defenses linked directly to the bank’s grid. We also need to separate the defence of this planet from the global grid of Alpha Corp signatures."

"That way, even if it’s a branch of Alpha Corp, it can’t enter this planet without permission," he added.

"Don’t you think sothing like that would need Leo’s permission. It might be seen as treason, or you trying to usurp Alpha Corp’s authority? I don’t know how these things work, but doesn’t it appear bad?" Ulen called out.

"I would have loved to ask Leo about this, only if he was answering. Still, I will drop him a ssage, telling him what happened and what we plan to do. He will still hold all access."

"Alright. Let’s go with that then. I will leave all that technical stuff to you. I’m returning to construction..."

Yang felt a headache, hearing things that didn’t make much sense to him. He simply tossed the responsibility off his shoulder, and turned around.

....

Lightyears away, in a sector of space that officially did not exist on any Galactic Union star chart, there was a planet that was covered by water.

On most planets, there was more land surface than there was water. However, on this planet, there was only water that could be seen from the surface.

To see a random island was like finding a needle in a haystack on this planet which was larger than even earth.

The ship that had left the bank, had arrived on the planet. However, it didn’t hover over the water surface.

The ship soon entered the water, diving deeper.

The ship landed in the depths of the water, which was twenty tis deeper than the deepest part in earth’s ocean.

Before the ship, there was a massive city which was shrouded in what appeared to be a bubble.

There were two sea creatures that were stationed at the city entrance. The mont they saw the ship, they imdiately lowered their weapons, and bowed down.

anwhile, the ship’s gate opened, and the masked man stepped out.

He slowly took off his mask, as a thin layer of aura surrounded his body.

It wasn’t a superpower. Instead, it was an ability that was gained purely through technological ans, sothing that not only protected him from the pressure of water in such depths, but it also helped him breathe.

If Leo was here, he would have been surprised to see the person. After all, it was a man that he hadn’t seen in a long ti.

It was the first employee of the Alpha Corp, soone that Leo believed was having the ti of his life, fishing in so faraway land.

The man was none other than Dr. Picollo, who had led the Alpha Labs at the start, bringing it to the point where it could make a na for itself across the space sector.

"I thought I could tell him that the mission he gave had succeeded. But I can’t even find him. Then again, he must be doing sothing really important. I will wait for him..."

With a sigh, Picollo entered the city, his clothes transforming into a proper suit with the Alpha Corp Logo.

It was the newest prototype of the Alpha Labs, which was also called version five of their protective attire product line.

It was sothing that hadn’t even hit the market right now. Still, he was able to create it even without the access of Alpha Labs.

He entered the palace that was in the center of the city. The walls of the inner corridor were covered in blood stains that looked to be barely a few months old.

Picollo still didn’t care. He simply walked through the corridor as he entered the throne room where a woman was sitting next to the throne.

Before his arrival, the woman used to be the queen of this land. However, after his arrival, she had fallen from grace, and was no different than a hostage.

Believing that he was simply following Leo’s others of ’fishing’, Picollo had already taken over the planet of Oceania, which was a middle tier planet of great significance in a different space sector.

It was also a planet which was far away from Leo’s space sector. If anything, it was much closer to the core of the universe where the chaos of three ancient houses was in full swing.

It was only a matter of ti before this planet was going to be caught in a war if the three ancient houses didn’t calm down.

That wasn’t the only problem of this planet. It was also close to the strongest middle tier planet in the universe which was also close to becoming a high tier planet.

It was close to the planet that was going through a political turmoil of its own that the Lionel Family wanted to take advantage of.

"Lord Leo... I don’t know where you are, but I’m sure you must be doing sothing really important..." Picollo took his seat next to the throne.

Even though he could take the throne, he left it empty as it only belonged to Leo according to him.

....

anwhile, the person in question that he believed to be doing sothing important... Was certainly not having the ti of his life.

Leo was dragging his body away, even as a hole was left on his right thigh, leaving a trail of blood behind him.
