’That’s too many notes...’
Zen could not help but feel surprised as this was the first ti he had read the status window of his storage ring.
’To think that the space really is just like that of a small continent... Wait, what’s a small continent?’
Upon thinking further, he was still unsure what a ’small continent was’.
Even though Zen doubted he would be using all that space, learning the specifics was still helpful.
’Is it a small continent in the Free World’s standard...?’
He made a guess, after all, this item was a product from the Free World itself.
As for the other details in the item description...
’I’m not really familiar with so of the terms... So let’s just take that as another win.’
Zen shook his head with a smile, ’It’s not like I can just search this in Goo... Wait, why didn’t I try bringing in a phone with ??’
He felt like facepalmimg, but then suddenly rembered sothing as his expression beca a little better.
His eyes then landed on the first note.
’No wonder it did not work when I tried putting live animals back in the real world. The sa’s true for the test I did regarding the ti inside the ring.’
Although Zen did not try it with humans, he had also tried putting living ants, but it did not work at all.
Of course, the situation beca different when they died, as their corpses could then be stored without any issues.
Besides this, the second note was also in line with what he had experinted with back in the real world.
His gaze then landed on the third note: [Note: This item is soul-bound].
This made Zen fall into deep thought.
After all, even without a Free World Dictionary to explain that specific term, he had encountered it in the ani, shows, and gas he had watched and played in the past.
’It doesn’t take much to assu that this is the reason why I was able to bring this ring to the real world...’
A bold idea then popped up in his head, ’Then maybe I can arm myself with many soul-bound items and bring all of them into the real world.’
’I’ll also try testing if there’s no limit to the in-ga items I can bring into the real world.’
Zen took a ntal note of it.
However, among the notes present in the item description, the fourth one was what really caught his attention.
[Note: A promise of love between a mortal and a god.]
This is the only thing that did not seem to state any capabilities of the ring.
Instead, it tackles its ’history’.
’Teacher told through the note that this ring is from the God of Fire Himself..."
Zen fell into deep thought, ’Hmmm, maybe I should wait for that certain requirent first before I think about this any further...’
"Huhp!"
Letting out a sound, he suddenly stood up and tossed the leftover bread and milk back into his storage space.
"Now, what should we do..."
Zen’s eyes wandered all over the plaza, seeing children playing and people getting busy with their own lives.
As he willed in his mind, a leather pouch appeared in his hand.
This was one of the items Arthur left behind in the storage space before he gave it to Zen.
Inside it were what seed to be white silver paper bills along with so white silver coins.
There was also a small note that said: These lits are my allowance to you as your teacher. Bear in mind that these can only be used in the Kingdom of Light.
’Lits, huh...’
Zen repeated in his mind, examining the engravings in the coin and the patterns in the paper bills.
The patterns for both the coins and paper bills were pretty much similar— a cross with light rays around it, looking very sacred and holy.
’To associate a religion with money...’
Zen did not know what to say, ’Although it’s called a kingdom, the Kingdom of Light is more of a theocratic nation from what I learned so far.’
He had also read so information about the various territories in the Free World, but was not able to have a thorough discussion with Arthur about it.
After all, Zen had been too engrossed in training and getting stronger.
’Well, it’s all worth it in the end... Besides, it’s no fun if I learn about everything from the get-go. It’s better to leave so things unknown to be discovered and explored~.’
Feeling that it made perfect sense, he nodded in satisfaction.
After all, Free World was still a ga in a way.
Zen strolled through the various streets around the plaza, his eyes wandering over various stalls selling what looked like potions, so were selling scrolls, and there were also blacksmiths selling their works.
’This really feels like the places I watched in ani and other shows...!’
It was only now that he could fully experience the wonder of the dieval-fantasy setting of the Free World.
"..."
However, there was one thing that bothered him.
’How can I level up?"
Zen’s head was filled with question marks as he felt that his years of experience in gaming were suddenly thrown out the window.
Normally, there would be question marks hovering above the heads of NPCs, and from them, you would be able to accept quests that you could complete for XP points.
’There’s no xp bar in my status panel... How should I monitor my progress?’
Thinking back to when Arthur had explained the concept of levels and whatnot, Zen rembered him ntioning quests and killing monsters.
’But how should I know where to complete any quests?’
He then tilted his head curiously, ’Should I just go ahead and kill monsters instead?’
’Let’s do that after seeing the layout of the city first... There’s no need to rush too much.’
Zen heaved a deep breath and cald himself down.
He promptly stopped himself from making the sa mistake he had made in the past, wherein he unconsciously rushed everything.
’I should rember my parents’ and Teacher’s advice...’
As Zen steadied his mind, he kept walking through the bustling streets of the city where otherworlders and natives co-existed.
"Hey, what quest did you get?"
"It’s still the sa as yesterday."
"Oh, so you’re going to clean the streets again?"
"Well, it’s not like I have any choice. The monsters outside of the city are very strong."
"Right. Just how unlucky were we to spawn in this place? I envy those who spawned in the Pendragon Kingdom."
" too. I saw soone posting online that they were able to reach level 20 in just a little more than a week!"
"Really!? While we’re still stuck at level 10s?"
...
As Zen walked through the streets, he inadvertently eavesdropped on so players’ conversations.
’Quest, huh...’
Since he still did not have any idea how to get quests, he unconsciously slowed down his steps and hoped to gain more information.
This lasted for a few minutes before he suddenly began walking in a different direction.
’So that’s where quests are, huh?’
Zen thought in his mind as he gazed at the grand cathedral in the distance.
He rembered seeing the building when he first entered the ga, but had beco too preoccupied to the point that the thought of exploring it had slipped his mind.
’I guess this also counts as scouting the enemy?’
A smile appeared on Zen’s face as he rembered that the Temple of Light was also destined to be his enemy in the future.
After all, he had not forgotten Arthur’s mission for him: To kill the gods.
Nevertheless, that event was still too far off in the future.
Right at this mont, Zen was still a level 1 otherworlder with no feats to his na.
As he got closer to the cathedral, he could see many people in white robes with golden embroideries.
’Are they priests?’
Zen made a guess based on their attire.
’So priests in this world are not limited to n, huh?’
His gaze wandered all over the place; curiosity was clear in his eyes.
It was at this mont that a young-looking nun approached him with a gentle smile on her face.
"Um, excuse . Are you looking for sothing, Mister? Or would you like to join our temple?"
Zen looked at the nun with curiosity apparent in his eyes, "I’m just wondering where I can accept quests..."
"Oh! I understand. Please follow ."
