"Pffft!"

Adara giggled at the sight of his shocked expression.

"My~ My~ Are you that worried about ?"

Arthur only glared at her in response.

"Well anyways, that’s right I died back then. Of course, they weren’t the ones who killed ..."

"Then don’t tell ..."

"...yes, I was the one who killed myself." Adara continued her words with a serious face.

"Their pursuit was unending as they had ans to track . It didn’t matter wherever I was, they were able to find in a day."

Arthur listened carefully as he imbued her body with his healing flas.

"So I thought of a way to completely evade their detection. Since they had so item that could deduce my position as long as I was alive, I decided to kill myself."

"Of course, I was only able to do that because of my special skill! Although it took years to revive..."

Tik!

"Ow! Why did you flick !?"

"That’s for making worried." Arthur said without a change in expression.

Hearing his words, a smile blossod on Adara’s face, "Oh! So you’re really worried about m—"

"Shut up."

"Awww, don’t be a—"

"I’m serious."

Seeing the change in Arthur’s expression, Adara beca silent as well.

After a few seconds, he made so hand gestures towards her, making her cover her mouth with a surprised expression.

"They’re already here? But it has only been a week since I revived..."

She whispered with a serious expression.

Arthur only shook his head as he replied, "Let’s get out of he—"

BOOM—!!!

A deafening boom resounded as the cave they were hiding in was destroyed.

Rubbles flew out as the roof of the cave disappeared along with the explosion, revealing their figures on the people outside.

Hatred spread across Adara’s face as he looked at the figures floating in the sky.

"Oh my~ I greet the One Who Wields The Fire of Life, The Saintess of Fire, Ms. Adara~"

A woman with white hair and brows shouted mockingly as her golden eyes remained fixed at Adara below.

"I can’t believe that the Temple of Light really sent soone like you just to kill an injured person, Luxia!"

A condescending smirk also appeared on Adara’s face as she shouted.

Her words clearly frustrated the woman nad Luxia, "Oho? What makes you think that you have the right to be so proud? Are you not aware of your situation?"

"Heh, the only situation I’m aware of is yours! You really think you can catch , huh!? Are you that confident with just the five of you!?"

Adara placed her hands on her hips as she looked at them with confidence.

’So there’s five of them...’

Arthur thought as he heard Adara’s words right beside him.

The two of them go way back.

Therefore, their deep understanding of each other enabled them to communicate without the use of words.

It was also the reason why Adara could use her "small talk" with Luxia to deliver information.

Luxia snickered, "What makes you so confident when you are alo— Oh."

At this mont she noticed the blacked robed figure beside Adara, "Hey Mister, you might want to leave the area unless you want to die."

’It seems that she doesn’t recognize ...’ Due to the fact that Arthur had his back against them, they were only able to see his back.

Seeing that the black robed figure did not answer her, Luxia beca even more frustrated, "Well, it doesn’t matter. I’ll just kill the both of you."

"Are you confident that you can take responsibility for what you’re saying?" Adara’s smirk widened.

Luxia didn’t respond and longer and angrily shouted at the four n around her, "Paladins! Seal them!!"

The four n dressed in pure white clothes simultaneously moved.

They surrounded the vicinity where Adara and Arthur were before stabbing their swords to the ground.

[Light Prison]

A golden laser shot out from their swords, creating a box that encased the periter.

Adara’s forehead creased slightly at the sight of this, but he still maintained the confident look on her face.

She placed her hands behind her as she spoke with a slight smile.

"Is this it? You brought four Paladins of Light just so you can cut my escape routes? Are you sure that you can handle alone?"

However, she made so gestures behind her towards Arthur as she maintained her facade.

*Can you hurry up with whatever you’re planning? I know that you’ve already solved the situation! Please just hurry up or else I might collapse!! My wounds still hurt, you know!?*

Was the ssage Arthur deciphered from her gestures.

’Hah, what a silly girl. It has been years and yet she hasn’t matured even a little bit.’ Arthur laughed inwardly.

’But I can’t use any magic or else, they might be able to detect where I am.’

He could kill them quickly if he wished to do so, but he risked exposing himself to people with higher position and to the gods.

He needed a magic that he didn’t have. A magic that couldn’t be traced back to him.

’Wait! I think I might have sothing.’

A kind of magic that was destructive enough to injure their pursuers while not being from him.

Such a thing was impossible as he was one of the best mages in the entire world. His understanding of magic was too profound.

However, such an impossibility was resolved by the anomaly known as his apprentice.

’I might need to reward him more now that he saved from trouble...’ Arthur smiled inwardly as he thought of Zen.

"You really think that I can’t take you on by myself, huh!?" Luxia shouted as a vein popped on her temple.

"Well, I have recently broken through to Level 100. I’m at the Legendary Realm now!"

It took all of Adara’s strength to not show any shock on her face. Instead, she looked Lixia in the eye...

"So what? I did too. It’s not like it’s hard."

...and lied straight to her face.

"What!?" Luxia’s eyes widened in shock at what she heard, "Impossible! You’ve been dead for years!!"

At this mont, a blue translucent cube appeared in the air.

Inside it was a white light.

This sudden event caught Luxia and the four paladin’s eyes.

"What is that?"

Not only them, but Adara was also confused at Arthur’s sudden action.

Crack— Crack— Tink!!!

Like a shattered glass, the cube broke into pieces.

The light inside it then rapidly expanded.

HUMMMMMMMM—

A deafening humming sound echoes in the whole forest.

"What is thi—"

Just as Luxia could finish her words, he could see the black robed man grab Adara before waving his staff and disappearing.

"Impossible! The [Light Prison] cuts the space around so normal teleportation shouldn’t be possib—"

Tooom— BOOM!!!!!!!!!!

Her words were cut off by the massive explosion brought upon by the destructive light.

Luxia and the four paladins experienced the power of the most destructive weapon of war from Earth’s modern era.
