’What...’ Nana, whose eyes were glowing, kept staring at Zen.
However, what made her confused was the fact that no matter how she stared at this new person who just arrived, she couldn’t "see" anything.
Soon enough, this confusion turned to uncertainty.
The glow on her eyes started to brighten, almost like a light bulb.
There was only one thing inside everyone’s mind right now; ’What’s happening?’
Whenever she looked at people, Nana would always see an image. Image that describes them and their personality.
Through this, she could see the essence of people. Who they truly were, what truly was on their minds, and what kind of people they truly were.
It was as if she could see through the person themselves, peeking at their very souls.
However, when she looked at Zen, she only saw chaos. Sotis it was empty, sotis she couldn’t see because it was too dark, while other tis she couldn’t see through because of the fog.
No matter how hard she tried, her sight couldn’t get through these disturbances. It made her feel uncomfortable. It made her feel the fear of the unknown.
Tap.
Sniff~ Sniff~
Wahhhh!
After a while, as if she couldn’t take it anymore, Nana took a step back and hugged Sera again, bawling her eyes out.
Ren, Rina, Sera and Margareth all glared at him, thinking that he bullied Nana.
Zen spread out his arms in defeat and said, "I can explain..."

An hour later...
Zen had just finished explaining things to everyone.
Of course, he didn’t say anything about his new heart on the right side of his chest. He just talked about things such as when he felt the mana fluctuations while in the toilet.
He left out any details about himself.
"But why did Nana cry?" Ren asked curiously.
Zen thought for a mont before replying, "You said earlier that she said so strange things after staring for a while, right?"
Ren, Rina and Sera nodded one after the other.
"I think she has very special eyes... sothing that can see a person’s nature... Though this made curious. Aunt Margareth, since when did Nana have this ability? Also, where did she co from?" He looked at his aunt.
"This... it’s a very long story..." Margareth sighed and looked at Ren, "Commander Garren, do you rember the mission we had? The mission that caused World War III?"
Hearing this, Ren’s eyes constricted while Rina looked at her husband with worried eyes.
Zen and Sera, who had a sleeping Nana on her lap, curiously looked at Ren, Rina and Margareth.
’Are we finally able to know about Mom and Dad’s past?’
Margareth didn’t speak any further and instead looked at Ren, as if asking for permission to continue.
Ren closed his eyes for a while before opening them again and saying, "Ugh, I guess it’s ti..." Then, he gave a nod to Margareth.
Margareth took a deep breath before continuing, "Your father and I had been working on the U.S. governnt since way back then. Commander Garren was incharge of a very special task force while I was his secretary and second in command." As she was saying the last part, Margareth seed proud, earning her a glare from Rina.
Just this information alone already shook Zen and Sera.
Margareth ignored this and continued, "There was a crisis back then known as the ’Magical teorite Incident’. It all started when the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, also known as NASA, detected a teor about 10 ters in diater that was heading for the Earth."
"At first, they didn’t pay any attention to this since teors of this size coming to Earth were common, but they would burn up before they could even get through the Earth’s atmosphere and cause any damage."
"However, what alard them was the fact that they detected the very sa teor just 5,000 ters in the air. NASA tried to break the teor by launching missiles, but to no avail. It was reported that the teor is protected by a barrier of unidentified energy. An energy no one had ever seen before on Earth."
"This teor landed on an island a few kiloters away from the continent of Antarctica. The teoriticists and other professionals in NASA were stupefied when the expected explosion didn’t occur. In fact, the teorite didn’t cause any damage at all at the site where it landed."
"Our team was the first to arrive in the area where the teorite landed. However, we saw that it landed on a village. This village is unknown to the outside world because they live in seclusion, away from civilization. They had ordinary igloos as their ho, their way of living was really primitive."
"When we entered the village, we saw that every person there had died. We were confused since the teorite didn’t cause any damage, much less an explosion."
"When a doctor in our team tried to find out the cause of their death, she described it as sothing similar to those people who die in high climates because their body isn’t able to adapt to it."
"Then, through the reports of the barrier made from the unidentified energy from the teorite, it didn’t take long for us to conclude that the energy in the teorite scattered at the mont of its landing, causing it to invade the bodies of the people there."
"We searched through the entire village and found a baby being cradled by the unmoving corpse of her mother. Miraculously, the baby survived. She was the only one who survived in the entire village."
"Knowing the heartlessness of the people we serve, Commander Garren ordered for the child’s existence to be kept secret. A mber of our team, who we reported as dead because of the teorite’s energy, fled secretly with the child."
Ren, who had been listening since earlier, looked as if he realized sothing.
Margareth looked at him and said, "Yes, Commander. The child you saved from the treacherous hands of the heartless governnt back then was Nana."
At this mont, Zen asked, "When did World War III happen? And why is information about it unavailable everywhere?"
Margareth sighed and replied, "It happened in 2097, just before the end of the 21st century. The Magical teorite Incident happened a year prior to it."
"But it’s 2121 right now... it ans that it has been 24 years since the war and 25 years since Nana was saved!" Sera asked in shock.
