March 15th, nine o’clock in the morning.

After exercising at Longhu Park, Chen Yun, not feeling the least bit tired, returned to the Mingwang New Village complex.

He didn’t go straight ho.

Instead, he headed to the Cai niao Station next to the garden at the back of the complex. There, using the pickup code, he collected the weights he had purchased a few days earlier.

Shin guards, a vest—neither piece seed particularly bulky or cumberso.

Together, they weighed exactly 10kg.

For Chen Yun, this didn’t feel particularly heavy, certainly not as substantial as when he carried the battle drum’s bronze hamr.

He was silent for a mont.

Chen Yun sighed helplessly.

The custom-made weights he had ordered online couldn’t have been much heavier than these 10kg if they were to et his fitted requirents.

They were better than nothing, he supposed.

As he was about to head ho with the parcel, Chen Yun suddenly stopped.

Transparent World 2.0 had detected a familiar face approaching.

"Gambling God, what a coincidence."

A crisp female voice rang in his ear.

Chen Yun turned toward the voice, which belonged to the acquaintance Transparent World 2.0 had sensed.

"Gambling God? Really, didn’t Bai Shi tell you my na?"

Chen Yun looked at the woman he had t a few days ago while playing cards and smiled wryly.

Even though he had thrashed Bai Shi and this woman at cards a few days before, being called "Gambling God" in public was a bit awkward.

"Sorry, Mr. Chen."

The woman scratched her head, her face imdiately showing a hint of apology.

She had indeed learned Chen Yun’s na through Bai Shi, but Chen Yun’s morable performance at the card table had left a strong impression.

"It’s fine."

"Sister Sun, did you co here looking for Bai Shi today?"

Chen Yun looked at Sun Huwen, the bookstore owner standing before him, and made polite conversation.

He knew that Sun Huwen’s bookstore was located in Shiling Street, not too far from here, but also not close enough for a casual stroll.

"Yes, we had agreed to et today to enjoy so wine and read so books."

"But I found out he wasn’t ho after I got here, and I couldn’t reach him by phone either."

"So I ended up wandering around this garden nearby."

Sun Huwen pursed her lips, clearly a bit disappointed.

But she quickly let it go,

obviously having gotten a deeper understanding of Bai Shi’s character over these days.

Hearing this,

Chen Yun fell silent.

He actually knew why Bai Shi wasn’t ho.

This morning, after he had intimidated the driver and arrived ho, he had seen a ssage from Bai Shi on QQ saying: I’m off to pull a big job; if I don’t co ho tonight, please bail out of the police station.

The cause was: The owner of the tutoring agency who had offended Bai Shi was now enrolling more students than usual. The owner, long distressed over the death of his "wealth tree," laughed aloud upon seeing the surge in students.

Indeed, the owner had even posted a picture of the dead wealth tree to his social dia at ten o’clock at night with the caption: "The tree’s dead, now only wealth remains."

This post nearly caused Bai Shi to explode with rage, prompting him to order a batch of "never-fade" paint overnight.

First thing in the morning, he had rushed to the tutoring agency with the newly acquired paint.

So...

Bai Shi had stood Sun Huwen up.

Knowing the full story, Chen Yun looked at Sun Huwen standing before him and, after a long mont of contemplation, decided not to say anything.

After all, Bai Shi didn’t seem like he was up to any good.

It’s better not to say too much.

Chen Yun then exchanged a few polite words with Sun Huwen before getting ready to head ho.

But Sun Huwen stopped him again.

"That..."

"May I ask what kind of girls does Bai Shi like?"

Sun Huwen looked at Chen Yun with so hesitation yet decisively asked.

These days, she had noticed that Bai Shi’s social circle seed to consist only of Chen Yun, so she could only ask him to learn more about Bai Shi.

Chen Yun was stunned upon hearing this.

Hiss...

People actually liked Bai Shi?!

Although he had vaguely noticed this woman’s fondness for Bai Shi during their previous card gas,

but having it confird,

he still couldn’t help but feel that Bai Shi really deserved to die.

Chen Yun internally grumbled for a while, then looked at Sun Huwen in front of him and said, "Use less floral perfus, opt for more fruity or oaky scents, Bai Shi is a fan of red wine."

"Learn a few famous quotes, so you’re not lost in conversation with him."

"Then if you also like reading books and drinking wine, your relationship with him won’t go badly."

························

Back ho.

While casually using his telekinesis to make tissues fly around, teasing the little dog Bai Jin,

Chen Yun sat down at his computer desk.

eting Sun Huwen at the entrance of Cai Niao Station was just an interlude; after giving a few suggestions to Sun Huwen, he had returned ho.

Looking at the ti, it was already nine-thirty.

Chen Yun didn’t start on the entertainnt and leisure activities as outlined in his short-term plan 3.0.

Instead, he opened his computer and started searching for deep forests near Shucheng.

In fact.

He had just gotten ho this early morning and hadn’t forgotten to record the data from yesterday.

[16th Record: 2024.3.14 (Lunar February 5)]

[1. Changed training thod, whole body muscles frequently tremble on their own, dual training for spirit and body. Current duration: 9.7 seconds.]

[2. New discovery—when spiritual power combines with Killing Intent, it can control the Killing Intent to take a tangible form. External expression solidifies into specific shapes of Killing Intent, duration one minute. Killing Intent can be used for Enchantnt on weapons, enhancing the pain felt by the attacked.]

[3. Plan to train in deep mountains, to explore why I’m more thrilled there.]

He was now browsing the nearby deep forests, precisely based on this third point discovered yesterday.

It seems he gets excited training in the deep mountains?

He couldn’t help himself this early morning and ended up crashing into a tree, his nearly one-ton strength broke the tree, and his shirt tore as well.

Chen Yun didn’t know why.

He wondered if it was because people living urban lives for too long developed a longing for doing sothing in the wild?

Or rather, it wasn’t excitent, but a novelty of breaking free from constraints?

Anyway, he wanted to try going to the deep mountains again.

Whether there truly is so influence from training in the deep mountains, or if it’s just a subtle thrill from suddenly going out after staying indoors for a long ti.

This needed a bit more exploration.

It wasn’t limited to only Shucheng; even farther places could be considered.

Anywhere within Sichuan province was an option.

Thinking this, Chen Yun quickly filtered through feasible options on his computer search page.

The option of Yibin Laojun Mountain caught his eye.

Not too distant, yet primitive and vast.

Chen Yun nodded in satisfaction and imdiately began preparing his travel strategy.
