Despite being baffled,

Chen Yun still did not stop his preliminary observation, experintation, and recording.

He had to take the newly discovered eating issue seriously.

He almost imdiately tried the food available at ho.

Since he had traveled back to Jiangnan Province, 1700 kiloters away, for the New Year, there wasn't much food stored in his Shucheng ho.

However, there were still so foods that were easy to store.

But without exception,

foods like bread, rice, instant rice noodles that were high in starch; the small amount of vegetables and fruits in the refrigerator that were high in dietary fiber; ats, eggs, and other high-protein foods······

all tasted bland as wax.

There was even a subtle nauseating feeling.

Although the nauseating feeling was tolerable, it was still quite noticeable.

Tap water did not make him nauseous, but he also did not feel the need to drink due to thirst.

This made Chen Yun's face turn pale.

Now, it was evident that his body's instinctive response was to reject these foods.

It was as if his body didn't need them.

If this was the case,

from a survival perspective, he might never need to eat again in the future.

This could be a good thing.

From a lifestyle perspective, it would be hard for him to enjoy good food anymore.

This was sowhat hard to accept.

Chen Yun found it unbelievable.

But bodily instincts were not likely to deceive.

That probably was the most correct and appropriate choice made by the body.

It often was more accurate than the brain's judgnt.

Perhaps······

he really wouldn't need to eat in the future?

Chen Yun speculated this.

But if he didn't consu food to replenish external energy, what would happen to him?

Could he survive unaffected?

Theoretically speaking,

he still had to abide by the universal principle of conservation of energy; not eating did not an he didn't need energy replenishnt.

Otherwise, that would have been overly great.

Chen Yun leaned toward the idea that it wasn't that he no longer needed energy, but rather that he had discovered so higher, unknown thod of energy supplentation.

It was more high-end than eating and hard to detect.

However, considering the Physical Recovery Speed, the efficiency of this energy supplentation likely far exceeded that of eating.

It allowed him to seemingly create energy from nothing and stop the behavior of absorbing energy from the outside world.

It enabled him to recover his strength at an ultra-fast speed.

This required further research.

Thinking this,

Chen Yun had two more plans in his mind.

To explore and research the unknown thod of energy replenishnt and to search for food that might not taste as bland as wax.

The forr was to reassure himself.

The latter was for the sake of satisfying his palate.

And before the thod of unknown energy replenishnt was clearly explored,

Chen Yun did not plan to voluntarily push himself to the limit. The idea of continuing to test the limits of his physical recovery ability also had to be temporarily dismissed.

After all, under such circumstances,

that is, in an uncertain energy source situation,

he did not want to push himself to too extre a degree.

To avoid any serious mishap.

He was sowhat afraid of outright exercising himself to death.

If the ability for quick physical recovery drained the unknown energy source

and caused him to suddenly stop midway during one of the rapid recoveries,

he could likely die suddenly during an experint.

If possible, Chen Yun would definitely remain as cautious as possible.

Upon researching this,

Chen Yun looked at the dark moonlight outside the window.

And at the words on his phone screen "the 20th day of the first lunar month, 00:30 a.m."

He sighed deeply.

That was about it for his preliminary observations and experints these past few hours.

Perhaps there were deeper things yet undiscovered.

But just the changes observed so far were enough for Chen Yun to reach an astonishing conclusion:

Not hungry, not tired.

He······

seed to be transcending the category of human beings.
