Chapter 82 – Astute and crafty (1)
On the flight to the US, the beautiful, tall, and thin stewardesses with mild manners were checking that the passengers had their seatbelts fastened.
The temperature inside the cabin of the plane was at a suitable temperature. The person sitting next to Ye Zhen was an older foreigner gentleman. She gave him a slight friendly smile before taking off her thick cotton coat and covering her body with it in preparation for a nap.
The captain started his announcents. In a few minutes, she would be leaving this land and going to another country.
The noon sunlight was just right. It ca in through the cabin’s narrow windows. Ye Zhen slightly narrowed her eyes. Through the window, she could see that the outside ground staff was currently making a gesture that it was okay for the plane to take off.
Lowering the window shade, Ye Zhen stroked her flat belly. The older gentleman asked her in shoddy Mandarin why she was going to the US.
Ye Zhen replied in English, “To start a new life.”
As the captain finished his announcents, and Ye Zhen waited for the plane to take off, she couldn’t resist thinking about Lu Beichuan.
The wedding should be ending right about now?
Very soon, she would break free from the villain’s wife’s role and ending. She wouldn’t have to keep worrying about having a tragic ending or have to cautiously pass her days. The sea is vast, and the sky is high. From now on, she was free to do whatever she wanted. She would happily live out her leisurely and relaxing life.
As she thought about her wonderful life in the future, Ye Zhen let her imagination roam. Yawning, she felt as if she had taken a nap during her daydream. When she ca back to the present, she heard the sound of agitated passengers in the cabin.
Many people ask the stewardess why the plane hadn’t taken off. She patiently explain there was a delay. Soon after, there was another announcent. Due to weather conditions beyond their control, the flight would have to be delayed.
Flight delays did occasionally happen. Fortunately, the worst hadn’t happened, which was the flight being canceled.
After the crew mbers had repeatedly apologized, one after another, the passengers exited the plane and returned to the boarding area.
Ye Zhen followed the crowd out. After leaving the plane, Ye Zhen’s nerves were stretched taut as an ominous premonition grew in her heart.
Her woman’s sixth sense told her that this probably wasn’t a coincidence.
Once all the passengers entered the boarding area, Ye Zhen cleverly left the crowd and walked in the opposite direction. However, she had only taken a few steps when three airport staff stopped her.
One of the sweet-looking stewardess asked her, “Excuse , are you Miss Ye Zhen?”
As soon as she heard these words, Ye Zhen figured out what had happened. She slightly smiled, “No, I’m not Ye Zhen. You’re mistaken.”
The stewardess blankly looked at her for a mont. Soon after, she smiled and said, “Miss Ye, please don’t misunderstand. We’re airport staff. We don’t have any malicious intentions.”
“I’m sorry, but you’ve got confused with soone else. I’m really not Ye Zhen.” She had Ye Qing’s ID card.
She walked around them to leave, but she saw two expressionless n in suits approaching her.
“Miss Ye, please co with us.”
Ye Zhen coldly looked at these two people. They obviously weren’t good people. She inwardly sighed.
She truly didn’t understand. Wasn’t it a cliche plot that the pregnant heroine would be able to successfully run away on her first attempt? What was going on? Why was this popular escape path not working? She had failed both tis.
She stood there confronting the two bodyguards.
One of the bodyguards sternly said, “Miss Ye, please don’t be difficult.” After saying this, he turned sideways for her to walkthrough. “Please co with with us. Mr. Lu has already been waiting for you for a long ti.”

These damn rich people!
Thinking that there was no way she would be able to escape under the situation, Ye Zhen followed the two bodyguards to a spacious sitting room. Sure enough, Lu Beichuan was sitting in that room and chatting with another person.
As soon as that other person saw Ye Zhen entering the room, he stretched his hand out to shake Lu Beichuan’s hand and said with a smile, “Let’s end our talk here today. I’ll offer congratulations in advance for a happy collaboration.”
Nodding slightly, Lu Beichuan stretched his right hand out and shook the other party’s hand.
