Xi Wenjun lowered her voice, “Weiyin, tell the truth. Did you co here just to see Lu Beichuan?”
The corners of Shen Weiyin’s mouth curved up. She didn’t say anything.
She didn’t co here just to see Lu Beichuan. She had arranged for paparazzi to be stationed outside of Lu Corporation. Regardless if she saw Lu Beichuan or not, the gossip that she had co to Lu Corporation to discuss her contract renewal would spread by tomorrow.
She didn’t care about this small contract. She only cared about Lu Beichuan.
Xi Wenjun had been Shen Weiyin’s agent for several years. How could she not know what she was thinking? Seeing that Shen Weiyin was remaining silent, she understood that her silence was acquiescent.
Although she was Shen Weiyin’s agent, Shen Weiyin had the final say when it ca to what movie scripts and endorsents she would accept. Shen Weiyin had always been very clear about her goals and was never sloppy. Of course, she was also unscrupulous about getting what she wanted.
The door to the conference room was pushed open. Director Zhou walked into the room. He looked deeply worried. He closed the door and looked at Shen Weiyin with a worried frown.
“Director Zhou, long ti no see.” Shen Weiyin noticed his expression, but her expression remained unchanged as she stretched her hand out for a handshake.
Director Zhou politely shook her hand. He sat down across from Shen Weiyin and went through the motions of taking out a contact. Lowering his voice, he said, “Miss Shen, I’m very sorry. CEO Lu has inford that he wants to terminate the contract. I’m here to talk to you about that.”
“Terminate?”
Director Zhou put on a bold face. “That’s right.”
Xi Wenjun sneered. “Terminate? Your CEO might not know that its your company that benefits from having Weiyin endorse your company’s brand, but you should clearly know that. If it wasn’t for Weiyin’s endorsing this brand, it couldn’t have reached its current popularity. What is your CEO thinking? Burning the bridge after crossing it? Is that how Lu Corporation does its business?”
Director Zhou looked troubled. “This... I’m very sorry. I’m just a PR Director. I can’t change CEO Lu’s decision.”
Shen Weiyin deeply looked at him. She wrote out an amount on the table. “Director Zhou, I want to directly talk with CEO Lu.”
It was a very tempting amount.
If he had seen this amount in the past, Director Zhou would have already been carried away by it. However, after that conversation at noon, he wouldn’t dare to make any deals with this woman.
“Miss Shen, I really can’t do anything about this.” He deliberated his words and finally whispered, “CEO Lu found out about the rumors online. He’s very angry and ordered to clean them up imdiately. Also, Mrs. Lu ca here at noon. She was probably the one that inford CEO Lu of those rumors.”

“Yes, I heard that she made a special trip to bring CEO Lu lunch. She brought their baby along too. Everything was okay this morning, but after Mrs. Lu ca, CEO Lu ordered the PR Departnt to investigate those rumors. The matter over terminating the contract is probably because Mrs. Lu...”
Not waiting for Director Zhou to finish speaking, Shen Weiyin stood up. She put on her sunglasses and put on the air of soone about to leave. “I got it. Director Zhou, sorry, I didn’t co here today with plans of terminating the contract. If your company wants to terminate the contract, let’s schedule an appointnt for another ti.”
Shen Weiyin’s agent and lawyers followed Shen Weiyin in standing up.
The door to the conference room was suddenly opened. Ye Zhen was standing outside of the conference room and looking at Shen Weiyin with a smile.
