Ye Qing smiled. “I have lots of friends, and you never asked . Besides, your daughter is so outstanding, is it that strange I would know Shen Weiyin?”
“Tell the truth. How did you et her?”
“Just through a mutual friend.” A bit unhappy, Ye Qing furrowed her brow as she looked at her mother. “Mom, I’m just making a new friend. Why are you so concerned about it?”
“Why can’t I know what friends my daughter is making?” Not having a better option, Mother Ye could only say, “Never mind, I can’t control the choices you make. But rember that your younger sister is pregnant now, don’t argue with her when she gets here.”

Since Ye Zhen was pregnant, Lu Beichuan had left work to co here with her. He had the driver drive slowly on the way here. It should have only taken half an hour to get here, but the reduced driving speed had extended the trip to an hour.
