Although Lu Beichuan had rejected Father Ye’s request to co over to the Lu’s to visit Ye Zhen, Father Ye thought it would still be acceptable for him and his wife to visit their pregnant daughter.
With this idea in mind, Father Ye brought Mother Ye along when he ca knocking at the Lu’s ho the next day. He had also brought a lot of supplents.
It wouldn’t be reasonable to slam the door shut when you saw your in-laws, even if they were unwelco visitors.
You could only politely welco them inside.

As the Ye’s sat down on the sofa and made small talk with Mother Lu, servants ca forward and brought cups of tea.
Mother Ye looked at her rosy-cheeked younger daughter that was lazily leaning back on the sofa. Her previous cowering and shy deanor had been replaced by a confident and extroverted smile and bright eyes. She looked completely different as if she had been replaced by soone else.
Mother Ye couldn’t help thinking about her older daughter, who had remained at ho in silence for a long ti before she could walk out the shadows. She inwardly sighed.

Mother Lu held Ye Zhen’s hand. Smiling, she said, “It’s been over a month. It’s about ti for her to get pregnant. Mother Lu happily laughed.
