Yujin looked down at the headmistress, who was sitting on the floor staring blankly at him, and smiled bitterly.
"Headmistress, how about we have an honest conversation?"
Even though she had just tried to obliterate him, Yujin decided to attempt a dialogue.
He had no choice. Even if he killed her in retaliation, the consequences would be too severe to handle. Besides, the headmistress wasn’t soone capable of truly harming Yujin. As a mage, she was utterly powerless before the presence of a dragon, one of the sovereigns of magic.
As with Mirien, there was no need to overreact when the danger wasn’t significant.
"What… what?"
The headmistress stamred, startled by his suggestion.
She had just used magic to kill him, yet here he was, suggesting they talk. And not just anyone—a dragon, one of the majestic lords of magic.
Dragons were said to be aloof and rciless to those who challenged their authority…
"Aren’t you going to punish ?"
"Punishnt… hmm. Let’s think about that later. First, I think there’s been so misunderstanding about . Let’s clear that up first, shall we?"
With those words, Yujin narrowed his eyes slightly and smiled again.
"First of all, Headmistress, I truly an no harm to the princess. All I did was seal the demonic energy."
"What? No, I an, that's not…"
"Hm? Is there sothing more important you want to talk about?"
"That… it’s just…"
The headmistress stamred, her focus not on Yujin’s explanation about sealing the princess’s demonic energy, but rather on the fact that there was a dragon standing before her.
"Are you… truly a dragon?"
"Ah, that."
Yujin smiled bitterly at her question and stroked his chin in thought.
A dragon… While it wouldn’t be an issue to admit it as long as he ensured her silence, it still felt like revealing too much too easily. This had happened with Mirien as well.
Of course, Yujin wasn’t aware that Mirien had been too oblivious to recognize him as a dragon, despite sensing the Dragon Fear.
In any case, Yujin decided to be upfront with the headmistress. From the look in her eyes, she seed almost certain of his identity as a dragon, so hiding it any further felt aningless.
"Yes, I am."
"…!!!"
The headmistress’s eyes widened in shock. She had nearly been certain upon hearing the Dragon Tongue, but hearing him confirm it directly felt entirely different.
A real dragon! Truly, a dragon!
