“Alright, I can finally move around properly!”

Naruto stood up, a smile spreading across his face. It looked as though he had been waiting for this mont for a very long ti.

“Is it the Nine-Tails?”

Sasuke asked with so curiosity. Faced with the question, Naruto did not hide anything.

“Yeah, that’s right—but his na is Kurama.”

Naruto was pulled into the inner consciousness space by the Nine-Tails. The main reason was that the Nine-Tails had been utterly stunned by everything happening before them.

The Ten-Tails’ furious roar and howl instinctively filled him with fear. He knew very well that once he fused with the Ten-Tails, he would cease to exist entirely.

Besides that, there were also those Ōtsutsuki.

Those Ōtsutsuki gave him the sa feeling as the “old man” from his mories—only even more terrifying.

However, he simply could not out-stubborn Naruto, especially when faced with Naruto’s determination at that mont to protect this world, which left him feeling rather helpless.

Moreover, Naruto seed to have noticed the Nine-Tails’ worries, and he could not help but smile.

“Don’t worry. I’ll protect you too.”

“Brat, what are you saying? You’ll protect ?”

Hearing that, the Nine-Tails almost laughed in anger, but Naruto looked exceptionally serious.

“Yeah. Actually, I stopped blaming you a long ti ago. What happened back then wasn’t your fault either—you were controlled by Uchiha Obito and only then did you do those things.”

“…”

“And also, deep down, how should I put it… I feel bad about what you went through. My own situation wasn’t great either, but I t a guy like Gen. And you—”

“…”

“So after this battle is over, I’ll talk to Gen. Anyway, he doesn’t care at all whether there are tailed beasts or not, and I also think that you’re actually more suited to being free.”

“…”

The Nine-Tails fell silent for a mont. He felt that the guy in front of him might have sothing wrong with his head.

But looking at Naruto’s bright and gentle smile, he suddenly realized that this kid really did seem to be thinking that way.

And moreover, there was one thing he found hard to deny—what kind of background Kitagawa Gen actually had was sothing he himself could not clearly say.

“But he really won’t take those tailed beasts seriously. That guy has beco completely different.”

As he thought about this, the Nine-Tails’ gaze toward Naruto also changed a little. After quite a while, he shook his head and smiled.

“This old man still doesn’t need you to protect him. And this ti, this old man will also agree to give you more chakra.”

As he spoke, the Nine-Tails extended his fist and said.

“Link your chakra with mine.”

“Huh?”

Naruto was a little pleasantly surprised, and also a little curious.

“Are we going to play tug-of-war again?”

“Idiot. This ti we don’t need to.”

Recalling everything that had happened before, Naruto could not hold back the smile on his face, and that gave Sasuke a headache.

“Please, we still have things to do. Are you ready or not?”

“Don’t worry. I’m already ready.”

Naruto said with a smile. He lifted his head and looked into the distance, and very quickly his smile stiffened.

“Uh… who are we going to find?”

“…Idiot!”

Sasuke had a headache. He felt that knowing this guy was really his bad luck. Without turning his head, he walked straight forward.

“Didn’t you get the ssage? All shinobi are being mobilized. We need to quickly crush the remaining White Zetsu, and at the sa ti find a way to seal the Ten-Tails. And we…”

As he spoke, those scarlet eyes of his stared at the towering giant Buddha, and only then did he speak quietly.

“We’re going to assist the First Hokage-sama. They’re doing everything they can to stall Ōtsutsuki Genshiki, buy ti for Gen-senpai, and also gather intelligence.”

“That is our target.”

“Seal the Ten-Tails as much as possible…”

Across the entire battlefield, all the shinobi had already received the ssage through headquarters.

After Jiraiya spoke with the two sages of Mount Myōboku, he reported the situation to headquarters.

Likewise, after Senju Tobirama made his decision, he also gave an explanation of the matter.

But this ssage left all the shinobi present with different expressions—so of them looked a little excited.

But more of them still looked sowhat worried, because that was the Ten-Tails!

And to get to the Ten-Tails, there was also that huge army of White Zetsu to deal with, and there were even so Impure World Reincarnation obstacles.

But they were shinobi. Once they received an order, they naturally had to carry it out—especially since these guys probably really were going to destroy this world!

“Hey, aren’t you going to co help us? Even that leader who’s controlling you has beco an Ōtsutsuki—hm!”

While others were consolidating their forces, Deidara was also making preparations. Still, he could not help but speak to the Second Tsuchikage.

“They’re already dead. Sending them off to die again now is just right, isn’t it? You don’t want to watch Iwagakure’s forces get worn down like this, do you—hmm?”

“…”

The Second Tsuchikage fell silent for a mont. Right now, he truly wanted to strangle Deidara. However, Deidara’s words made the Second Mizukage beside him nod slightly.

“Mm, mm. Senju Tobirama, that scheming little man, developed this technique precisely for this purpose. I quite agree with you, Tsuchikage.”

“That’s great!”

Deidara’s eyes lit up. This made Terumī i at the side darken in expression—she had already experienced just how ‘black-bellied’ this Second Mizukage could be.

“But—”

As expected, the Second Mizukage spread his hands and spoke indifferently.

“I can’t control myself anyway. Let’s deal with the one controlling us first. And you said it yourself—we’re dead. What’s the point of dead people taking part in this kind of war?”

“Hey, you little mustached guy, how can you be like this?”

Deidara could not hold it in anymore. He really had not expected the Second Mizukage to be like this, but the Second Mizukage did not care at all.

“We should trust the wisdom of the later generations. Hurry up and go. After you die, co down and keep company—I’ll take you to stroll around the Pure Land properly.”

“Damn it…”

This was the first ti Deidara had been left so deflated. Fortunately, Gaara pulled him back.

“Let’s make our preparations. Take care of what we need to do first. And I heard that the Third Tsuchikage is already on his way.”

“Tch, that lousy old man…”

Deidara pursed his lips and could only calm down in the end. anwhile, elsewhere—

Tsunade and Jiraiya had already found Orochimaru. Both of them looked rather grave as they faced this forr friend and old classmate.

“Orochimaru, at a ti like this, stop being so stubborn and continuing down the wrong path!”

Jiraiya spoke in a low voice, and Tsunade also spoke coldly.

“The trouble you’ve caused is already great enough. Are you still going to continue, Orochimaru?”

“There’s no need to lecture with all those principles. It’s very boring.”

Orochimaru licked his lips. He glanced at the mbers of Akatsuki around him, then could not help but look toward the distance as well.

After quite a while, he finally spoke quietly.

“I know what needs to be done. But before that, I also want to wait and see for a bit. After all, who wouldn’t be curious?”

“What exactly would power that belongs to the Ōtsutsuki be like?”

...

‘Isshiki, you bastard—just how much evil have you committed?’

Within the consciousness channel, Urashiki and Isshiki were quietly watching everything outside.

They watched as Kitagawa Gen fought three opponents alone and knocked all three of them down, even coming close to completely crushing Obito, Kimimaro, and even Momoshiki, who had already taken over Nagato.

Forced to this point, the Kāma of the two had already reached the second stage, and Momoshiki was on the verge of fully reviving. Neither of them looked very good.

Urashiki in particular was cursing furiously inside. Revival was a good thing for them, but being killed and then reviving would result in a significant loss of energy.

Especially when there was an even more terrifying existence outside—Ōtsutsuki Genshiki—staring at them unblinkingly, waiting!

‘This Kitagawa Gen is no simple figure. He himself is the ‘incarnation of planetary will,’ and when combined with the inheritance and will carried on from a thousand-year blood war…’

Urashiki felt numb inside. The sins this damned Isshiki had created were truly too many!

After all, in his view, that so-called Sage of Six Paths was none other than Isshiki, that bastard.

The thousand-year blood war he created was ant to deal with other Ōtsutsuki who might co after them, and soone like Kitagawa Gen was a sharp blade ant to stab at their enemies!

And now look what happened—he had played with fire and burned himself.

‘Not only did you awaken the demon in Genshiki’s heart and increase Genshiki’s power, you also created such a blade to turn against us?’

At this mont, Urashiki truly wished he could hurry up and devour Isshiki. That way, he could avoid even more trouble!

“We should prepare ourselves and take over the body.”

Just as Urashiki was pondering how to wipe out Isshiki, that bastard, so that he himself could also experience the so-called ‘Stairway to Godhood,’ Isshiki suddenly spoke solemnly from the side.

“Kitagawa Gen, this ‘incarnation of planetary will,’ wants to kill Obito and the others to release us. It’s obvious that people like Obito can’t hold out, so—”

As he spoke, Isshiki’s energy began to surge continuously. He was already prepared.

“Rather than being killed and losing even more energy, it’s better for us to proactively take over the body and accelerate the release of the Kāma!”

“Only then can we face Genshiki in a better state—face this clansman who has already gone completely mad. We—”

“—cannot let him continue. We must stop him!”

“…”

Damn it. You make it sound like you’re so righteous—wasn’t everything turning out like this all because of you?

It’s all because of you!

“I understand. Let’s speed things up as well—this timing is just right.”

Although Urashiki was cursing inwardly, he still nodded in cooperation. After all, he also knew that dealing with Isshiki was not sothing to be done right now.

Their bigger, far more terrifying enemy was Ōtsutsuki Genshiki!

“Hm?”

However, just as they were making preparations, they suddenly sensed that sothing was wrong on Momoshiki’s side.

“Ah!”

Nagato suddenly let out a pained howl as Black Zetsu’s body violently spread, covering half of Nagato’s torso.

“Damn it—”

Momoshiki’s furious curse ca out of Nagato’s mouth, but in the next instant it reverted to Nagato’s own voice.

“What exactly are you trying to do?!”

“The only way now is to transfer your Rinnegan, and at the sa ti let Madara take the Ten-Tails.”

Black Zetsu’s hoarse and weakened voice sounded quietly at that mont, yet it was unusually resolute.

“Kitagawa Gen is right. Only Ōtsutsuki can deal with Ōtsutsuki. To avoid so unnecessary things from happening, I also need to make certain choices.”

As he spoke, Nagato’s hands began to clench involuntarily, and the power of the Rinnegan erupted at that mont.

“You—”

Nagato seed to realize sothing, but Black Zetsu’s voice rang out once again.

“Your struggle is just right, and this was your destiny to begin with. The Ten-Tails also needs to be properly dealt with.”

As he spoke, he paid no heed to Nagato’s struggle. Just as he said, this was Nagato’s destiny.

He also had to thank Nagato’s frenzied resistance, and likewise thank Kitagawa Gen’s heavy blows—otherwise, he would not have had such an opportunity.

Humm—

Majestic energy began to erupt from Nagato’s body, and that energy surged madly toward the giant Buddha.

“So persistent?”

Kitagawa Gen raised an eyebrow, and at the sa ti he suddenly noticed horns appearing on the foreheads of Obito and Kimimaro.

Their expressions grew even more pained and strained, and their auras changed at that very mont!

“Especially Nagato.”

On Nagato’s body, that distinctive aura grew even more powerful, resonating with the auras on Obito and Kimimaro.

All of this, without exception, pointed to one thing.

“It seems…”

And on the main battlefield, Kitagawa Gen looked at the two figures atop the giant Buddha and could not help but gently shake his head.

“The era of the Ōtsutsuki has truly arrived.”
