He pressed answer and listened in silence.
I don’t know what was said on the other end of the phone, but he rubbed his brow and cut off the call directly.
"Erxi, I need to step out for a bit." Ji Yebai’s tone was full of apology.
"Just go if you have to."
Ji Yebai’s Adam’s apple bobbed, "Among the people I’m eting, there’s Dong Yingluo."
This woman, she dared to blackmail him!
Yet, he had no choice but to go.
As soon as Ning Xixi heard the na Dong Yingluo, she felt annoyed.
But, Ji Yebai was being honest, and it wouldn’t be fair for her to make a fuss without reason.
The young girl pouted dejectedly, "Mhm, go ahead."
"Erxi..."
"I’m not stopping you, am I? What’s wrong with being a little jealous!"
Ji Yebai helplessly hugged her, "I’ll co back as soon as I can."
He picked up his jacket scattered beside him, got out of bed, and Ning Xixi suddenly called after him, "Wait! Change into a different outfit before you go!"
Ji Yebai looked at her puzzled, only to see Ning Xixi ransacking the wardrobe and shoving an incredibly ugly jacket into his hands, "Wear this one!"
"Okay." He always complied with Erxi’s requests.
Ning Xixi tiptoed, sighing, how could he still look so handso in such an ugly piece of clothing?
So annoying.
A woman’s combat power when jealous is truly astonishing.
Her eyes twinkled, she took a lipstick from the vanity table and painted her lips, then tiptoed to plant a kiss on Ji Yebai’s neck.
"Alright." Ning Xixi was satisfied, and she tugged at Ji Yebai’s collar, pulling it down, "Don’t cover it! Did you hear ?"
"Are you trying to make it obvious to everyone that your husband’s wife is discontent?" Ji Yebai teased, patting her head, "Go to sleep, I promise to go out with this lipstick mark and return with it in mint condition."
"Pinky swear!"
"...Childish."
"Dabai~ Just a little pinky swear~"
"...Okay, okay, let’s pinky swear."

Ning Xixi caught up on her sleep and got up to check on Miaomiao.
Miaomiao, having taken her dicine, no longer had a stomach ache and was sitting in the living room watching cartoons with Han Naisen.
Han Naisen sat with impeccable posture, his little face stern, looking like a solemn elder statesman.
"Miaomiao, Sensen, do you two want to eat sothing?" Ning Xixi asked.
"Miaomiao wants to drink milk!"
Ning Xixi smiled and made her so milk powder. Miaomiao, holding the bottle, nestled on the couch, her cheeks puffing up as she drank.
"You’re so big and still drinking milk," Han Naisen expressed his disdain.
He stopped drinking milk when he was two.
"Mama says, milk powder is nutritious, and if Miaomiao drinks a lot, she’ll beco smart!"
Han Naisen rcilessly burst her bubble, "It’ll make you fat is more like it."
"So what if I get fat? Will you stop liking if I do?"
Han Naisen felt a bit shy but still said coolly, "I’ll like you no matter what you look like."
Just as Ning Xixi got out a bag of chips and was about to open it, she quietly put the bag back into the fridge.
I’m so full from dog food! Who needs chips!
She watched cartoons with the two kids for a while, then sent them back to their rooms to rest.
Looking out the window, night had fallen, with still no sign of Ji Yebai.
She struggled with insomnia until two in the morning before finally managing to fall asleep.

She was woken early in the morning by the alarm and sat up in bed. The other side was empty, the warmth in the bed belonging only to her. Unintentionally, she bit her lip.
Had Ji Yebai spent the entire night with Dong Yingluo...
