Her tears ca suddenly and unexpectedly.
Ji Yebai’s tough deanor from just a mont ago vanished without a trace.
The mont the little girl started crying, his whole heart went into disarray; he, who was always calm and composed in the face of troubles, now seed as helpless as a child, frantically wiping away her tears.
"What are you crying for... silly..."
His voice was filled with self-reproach and comfort.
Ning Xixi seed ready to vent all her grievances, "You scared by pretending to be a thief, and you called stupid. Go away, who asked you to co to my place!"
Ji Yebai was caught between laughter and tears, "When did I pretend to be a thief?"
He had just thought the room was dark and he was truly worried about Ning Xixi, so he resorted to climbing through the window.
The second young master of the Ji Family had actually stooped to climbing through windows just to get into his girlfriend’s house. If word got out, it would be quite embarrassing!
"Why did you co through the window in the middle of the night?" Ning Xixi sobbed, tears uncontrollably falling.
Just now her heart nearly stopped, living alone, what if the person breaking in really had been a thief... the consequences would have been unthinkable...
Ji Yebai cautiously wiped her tears, awkwardly saying, "I... I was just taking a walk, passing by, that’s all."
"A walk that reaches a balcony several ters high? And you pried open my window?" Ning Xixi was flabbergasted.
Ji Yebai coughed awkwardly a few tis and said sternly, "If the young master says it was a walk, then it was a walk. Why are you asking so many questions?"
Ning Xixi pursed her lips, continuing to sob pitifully.
It seed like only in front of Ji Yebai could she drop all pretenses, laugh when she wanted to, cry when she felt like it, without having to worry about so much.
The sound of the girl’s sobbing continuously reached Ji Yebai’s ears, causing him imnse distress, "Hey, stop crying!"
People who usually don’t cry, once they start, seem like they could cry for days and nights on end.
"Ning Xixi, I apologize to you, okay?"
Ning Xixi turned her face away stubbornly, "Who cares!"
She didn’t want to deal with that annoying Dabai anymore!
Ji Yebai ran his fingers through his hair, extrely frustrated.
If it had been Xiao Xichen crying, he’d definitely kick him, and make sure Xiao Xichen wouldn’t dare to make a sound.
But it was Ning Xixi who was crying!
Not to ntion kicking her, even if he gripped her wrist a little too firmly she’d be left with red marks on her fair skin; how could he bear to do that?
After pondering for a mont, he took hold of Ning Xixi’s small hand and placed it on his own sharply defined, handso face.
"How about you hit to vent your anger, hm?"
Ning Xixi was montarily stunned.
Was this still the domineering and haughty young master Ji Yebai? Wasn’t he soone who was always high and mighty? Why would he lower his stance so much in front of her?
"Who wants to be violent like you? Just leave alone, can’t you let be upset by myself for a while?" Ning Xixi, having co to her senses, pulled away her hand and curled up into a ball under the quilt, biting her finger to prevent herself from crying out.
Ji Yebai’s eyes darkened slightly. Seeing the girl curled up there, so small, with the quilt trembling but without making a sound, was incredibly foolish!
And... it was heartbreaking...
He lifted the quilt, and Ning Xixi hurriedly wiped away her tears, tilting her delicate little face to glare at him, "Ji Yebai, you... you’re so annoying!"
Ji Yebai’s expression was one of incredulous seriousness.
"If you find annoying, you can scold , hit , anything, but hiding under the covers to cry secretly, that I won’t allow!"
"I can’t bear to see you upset! You pig!"
