I'm 90 years old and the system tells me it's time to create harem Chapter 79: Harbingers of spiritual energy resurgence
The woman nad Ava coldly said, "We’ve never competed against each other, so on what basis do you say I’m inferior to him?"
Alexander couldn’t help but laugh; this woman was simply too confident. At a glance, it was clear she had never encountered any setbacks.
He could see right away that her rating was only A .Alexander had even defeated SS-ranked Laura, so how could he possibly be afraid of a minor character like Ava?
"Step back!" Louis admonished. "Don’t you see that Mr. Alexander and I are speaking?"
The woman nad Ava snorted and turned her head.
Louis took a deep breath and looked at Alexander apologetically, saying, "Mr. Alexander, your strength is indeed extraordinary, and I’ve offended you before. I apologize here and now."
Louis stood up and bowed to Alexander.
Alexander looked at him with a smile, saying, "Tell , what is the reason for seeking out this ti? If you’ve co to arrest , I advise you to give up that notion."
Louis sat down and earnestly said, "To tell you the truth, I’ve co to you hoping that you would join our Supernatural Association, and work with us to handle an ergent situation."
Alexander asked, puzzled, "Oh?"
Louis took out a series of photographs from a folder and laid them solemnly in front of Alexander.
Alexander took the photos, and as he looked at the images, his brow furrowed slightly.
The first picture showed row upon row of trees, at least a hundred ters tall. They looked like ordinary weeping willows, but their lushness far exceeded normal conditions.
The second picture showed a dissected beast of enormous size, with tusks as long as a person’s arm.
Alexander flipped through the photos one by one.
All of them were images of abnormal flora and fauna, and anomalous phenona.
Louis said gravely, "For so unknown reason, in recent years, strange incidents have been happening more and more frequently around the world, especially since the beginning of this year. The occurrence rate of these strange incidents has beco increasingly high!"
"Especially in the Amazon Rainforest, Yellowstone Park, Mount Everest, and the areas beneath the Earth’s surface, these strange incidents are showing a trend of dense growth!"
Louis took a deep breath, pulled out his phone, and opened a video player, saying, "Take a look at this."
Alexander took the phone, his eyebrows raising slightly.
In the video, there was a dense jungle, fild from a high vantage point so distance away. Within the jungle, countless massive beasts were lined up, seemingly in the midst of so migration. The sheer size of the creatures was astonishing.
Alexander asked, "Where was this taken?"
Louis replied gravely, "Last week in the Amazon Rainforest. The area is now under military lockdown. The appearance of such a large herd of unidentified behemoths has drawn serious attention from Congress. If these creatures migrate to populated areas, the consequences could be unimaginable!"
Alexander pondered for a mont.
What did this unusual phenonon signify? Was so sort of resurgence about to begin? It seed sothing significant was going to happen in the world.
Louis continued seriously, "Because these strange events have been happening one after the other, we founded the Supernatural Association. Our formation has not been smooth, as previously, the Psychic Association had been responsible for these matters."
Alexander’s interest was piqued. "The Psychic Association?"
Louis nodded, "Yes, the Psychic Association has always been a reserve force for various countries to respond to ergencies! But for so reason, in recent years, they’ve slowly begun to break away from national control. Many of the Psychic Association’s senior mbers have been replaced with enigmatic yet highly powerful individuals."
Louis’s brow furrowed slightly, "The Psychic Association is almost out of the nation’s control."
As he spoke, Alexander understood.
Those mysterious strong individuals must be the enigmatic Cultivators. Robert’s master had already told Alexander that the Psychic Association was backed by Cultivators.
And for those who had lived for hundreds, even thousands of years, they would not have any concept of the nation. With the resurgence of spiritual energy, they would surely work to slowly extricate the Psychic Association from state control.
Alexander leaned back on the couch, smiling faintly, "So a significant part of your founding was to counteract the Psychic Association?"
Louis sighed and gave a bitter smile, "Indeed, that is part of the reason. But we’ve just started, and our foundation is weak. Without enough strength, we can’t even talk about restraining them; handling these supernatural events is a challenge in itself."
He looked up, staring earnestly at Alexander, "So, I hope you, Mr. Alexander, will join the Supernatural Association and serve our country with us!"
Alexander looked at Louis’s solemn face and smiled slightly without giving an answer. Instead, he asked, "Are you going to the Amazon?"
Louis was taken aback, then nodded, "Congress has issued orders. Tomorrow, we will go with so mbers of the Psychic Association from various regions to investigate the Amazon Rainforest."
Alexander asked, "With mbers of the Psychic Association?"
Louis replied with a bitter smile, "Although the Psychic Association has begun to show signs of slipping out of control, they are still, at least nominally, a state organization, and they must obey Congress’s commands!"
Alexander glanced again at the photos on the table.
The anomalies in the Amazon Rainforest were undoubtedly harbingers of spiritual energy resurgence. The world was sure to undergo significant changes.
Alexander looked up and said, "I will go with you tomorrow. You can take to the Amazon, and I might provide so assistance."
At these words, Louis was overjoyed, "So that ans..."
Alexander shook his finger, smiling, "Don’t misunderstand, I won’t join any organization or institution. But if you’re willing, I can accompany you as a free individual."
A flash of disappointnt crossed Louis’s eyes, but he nodded solemnly, "Good! Regardless, having Mr. Alexander’s assistance is the luckiest thing for us!"
...
After giving the rendezvous location for the next day, Louis quickly left.
After seeing Louis off, the smile on Alexander’s face fell instantly, and he rubbed his head, saying:"Sophia, get so painkillers, quick! I’m in agony here!"
Sophia leaned over in front of Alexander, looking at him with sympathy: "Does it still hurt? I thought the pain was gone."
"It’s just a little sore," Alexander replied, embracing Sophia, and smiling. "Regular painkillers won’t work on anymore. Let’s practice the Supre Yin-Yang Dual Cultivation technique together. It will help my body recover."
"Okay, sure," Sophia agreed, lowering her head. She deftly undid Alexander’s trousers, then gently kissed it.
...
Two hours later, Sophia lay beside Alexander, a smile on her face.
"Darling, are you really going to the Amazon? It’s very dangerous there, and I’m worried about you."
Alexander looked puzzled. "Do you know sothing?"
"I’m just guessing," Sophia replied. "I only wish for us to live happily ever after together. I don’t want to see you facing dangerous things every day."
Alexander kissed Sophia’s face and said, "Our world is changing right now, and what’s to co will far exceed people’s current understanding!"
"What will the world beco?" Sophia asked, puzzled.
"I can’t say for sure, but the current situation in the Amazon Rainforest is definitely a place where crisis and opportunity coexist. We’ve been practicing the Supre Yin-Yang Dual Cultivation technique lately, and our strength has increased significantly. There’s nothing to worry about!"
...
anwhile, in a grand hotel in Washington, D.C.
Robert leaned against the bed, rubbing his eyes hard, waking from sleep.
The High Priest’s face revealed a satisfied smile as he stroked his beard, saying:"Robert, didn’t I tell you to rest well in the hotel? Why did you sneak out again last night? Has your injury healed already?"
Robert took a deep breath, and the terrifying smiling face of Alexander instantly flashed through his mind. His body shivered involuntarily, and then he gritted his teeth, saying:
"I’m fine! As long as I don’t run into that bastard again, I’ll be just fine!"
The High Priest didn’t know who the "bastard" Robert was referring to and chuckled, "Robert, do you know where that friend who brought you back last ti lives? I’ve been thinking about him these past few days! With such good potential, if he could join our temple, it would be a cause for celebration!"
The High Priest asked with a smile, "You have such a good relationship with him! Haven’t you thought of bringing him over?"
Robert was taken aback and asked, "Who are you talking about?"
The High Priest grinned, slapping him on the shoulder, "Playing dumb in front of ? Of course, it’s Alexander! Isn’t he your good friend? He said he’d co to see you in a few days!"
Suddenly, Robert’s face froze.
Scene after scene from their sparring in dreams to the present flashed through his mind.
Robert trembled, "He said... he will co to find ?"
The High Priest stroked his beard, pleased, "Yes! I’m happy for you to have such a considerate friend! Friends like that are rare nowadays! You didn’t see the worried expression on Alexander’s face when he brought you back that day."
The next mont, Robert flung the covers aside and stumbled out of bed, grabbing his phone from the table.
He quickly dialed a number, yelling, "Hello! Airline? Book the earliest flight to New Zealand today! Right now! The sooner, the better!!"
The High Priest exclaid in surprise, "Robert, what are you doing?"
Robert rushed to his wardrobe, grabbing his clothes and stuffing them into his suitcase, anxiously, "High Priest, I’m very sorry, I really shouldn’t have co to Washington. Let’s hurry back to the temple; there’s still ti! Quickly! We don’t have much ti!"
The High Priest raised an eyebrow but then chuckled, "You don’t need to rush back. I didn’t co here specifically to see you; in fact, we have important business!"
Robert paused, "What important business?"
The High Priest stroked his beard, his expression becoming serious, "Signs of spiritual energy revival have appeared. I’ve received news that a week ago, in the Amazon Rainforest, there was a massive outbreak of ferocious beasts!"
"The temple takes this matter very seriously, so I will take you to Brazil this ti to investigate what happened."
"With this anomaly, many hidden cultivation sects might erge, and we must be on guard!"
Robert furrowed his brows, then looked up, "So, we’re leaving Washington?"
"Yes."
Robert quickly rushed to the High Priest, urgently, "Good! When do we leave? Hurry up! As long as I can leave this place! I’ll go anywhere! Shall we go? Now? I’ll book the tickets imdiately!!"
