Chapter 44: Did You Really Co Up With This Idea?

Rosen had no idea that he had inadvertently sabotaged Lorne’s idea of using alcohol to obtain a large amount of wealth.

He was now sitting in the carriage as his mind spun rapidly while he recalled what had been discussed at the tavern.

When he arrived at his residence, Rosen ordered the carriage to stay outside for a while before he rushed in.

In less than ten minutes, Rosen rushed out of the place in a hurry. The only difference was that he had a copy of the docunt with him.

“Let’s go to the palace. I have sothing important to say to the king!”

From Rosen’s residence, the carriage went straight to the palace. Then, it passed through several palace guards. Under the leadership of a few eunuchs, Rosen quickly went to Kyle’s bedroom.

According to the ti, Kyle was usually on his lunch break. Ordinary Civil and Military ministers were not allowed to disturb him. However, an important minister like Rosen was an exception. Kyle always specially allowed Rosen to co and discuss important matters with him at any ti, even if it was in the middle of the night.

Of course, Rosen would not normally do this. After all, no minister would want to go and disturb the king for silly matters.

However, Rosen did not have much to worry about when he asked Kyle to cancel the original plan.

When he arrived at the bedroom, Kyle had already changed his clothes and was waiting for him while drinking tea.

“Your Majesty, My King, Duke Rosen is requesting for your attention outside!”

“Let him in!”

As he spoke, Rosen pushed open the palace door and rushed to Kyle’s side.

“Your Majesty, I have sothing important to report!”

As he spoke, he took out the docunts that he had just written from his pouch.

“These are the few reform strategies that I have thought about day and night over the past few days. This is related to the cultural and administrative reform of the Ministry of Education. As long as we implent the corresponding reforms according to the above statents that I’ve written, it will definitely promote the cultural and administrative rule to a large extent.

“At the very least, in the past, there were many cases of corrupt officials still being promoted and transferred. With this reform, it will greatly reduce the number of cases!”

As Kyle listened to Rosen, he quickly understood the general idea of what Rosen was suggesting. Imdiately, he beca spirited and sat up straight.

“Rosen, quickly bring it over and let see what kind of reform it is!”

As he spoke, Kyle took the docunt from Rosen and carefully read it three tis from beginning to end.

“Good, good, good! These are really effective thods. This is as expected of you, Rosen. You indeed have so great real abilities. It was not in vain that I have always ntioned the many shortcomings of the Ministry of Education to you. You have finally co up with a plan to carry out the reform.”

However, after Kyle read it again, he suddenly frowned.

“Rosen, is this really what you’ve been thinking about all day and night? Why do I feel like it would be more believable if it was suggested by Lorne?”

Rosen’s little heart skipped a beat, but he still held his head high and puffed out his chest. He braced himself and said, “I have not gone to see Lorne. How can it be that this was his doing? I’ve thought about it all day and night. How could Your Majesty doubt my abilities so much?”

At this mont, Rosen obviously could not say that it was Lorne’s advice. It was not because he was thick-skinned and wanted to take credit for it.

Rosen had reached this status by himself. He had both an official position and a noble title. He could be said to be a supre official. He did not need to use other people’s contributions to clear his na. That would be aningless.

It was really because Rosen could not let Kyle know that he had secretly gone to look for Lorne.

Otherwise, his idea of trying to rope Lorne into the Ministry of Education would be exposed!

He was now a pioneer. He was the first to think of this problem. Once it was exposed, Allen, Andrew, Abner, and even the king himself would have to compete with him.

He did not want to compete with any of them for Lorne, so he could only be thick-skinned and take the bla for this.

At the sa ti, Rosen secretly made up his mind. As long as Lorne joined the palace and worked under him, he would imdiately tell Kyle the whole story.

After all, he, Rosen, would never take credit for others.

When Kyle heard Rosen’s words, he also felt that it made sense. He was familiar with Rosen’s capabilities after all.

In terms of intelligence and ability, he was one of the best in the entire palace. There seed to be nothing wrong with being able to co up with such a thod.

Therefore, Kyle quickly said to Rosen, “Rosen, consider it as saying sothing wrong. Don’t take it to heart.”

Rosen imdiately waved his hand.

“Hey, Your Majesty, there’s no need to apologize.”

Kyle nodded slightly.

“Regarding this matter, you and I still need to discuss it in detail.”

In the next three hours, Rosen discussed the reform matter of the Ministry of Education in detail. They planned what they would do first, and how hard they would carry it out. After all, this was to be carried out in the light of the situation for the entire palace.

In the next three days, Kyle made an exception and held another small court eting to announce the reform of the Ministry of Education in court.

He ordered Rosen to take full responsibility for the managent and had the various supervisory bodies cooperate from the sidelines. With that, they started to implent the few rules agreed upon.

The entire Lolan officials began a vast and mighty reorganization. This was a sweeping reform that swept from the palace to other places, from top to bottom.

The instigator of all this — the owner of the tavern, Lorne — was still clueless about everything that was unfolding.

The only thing he did was wallow in his dead opportunity of potentially becoming rich selling his liquor!
