I walked up the stairs and went out onto the ground. The damp night air was comforting. No one was around. It was just and Leon.

Leon and I were facing each other.

For a fourteen-year-old, he’s got a lot of fight in him. What kind of life had he lived? Well, I couldn’t say the sa for the others.

“So, shall we begin?”

I smirked at him. Leon glared at , as if he didn’t like my attitude.

Without saying anything, he disappeared. I was unable to feel his presence anywhere. His presence disappeared, and I had no idea where he was going to attack from.

It was like he’d successfully blended into the darkness. This fight was going to be tougher than I thought it would be.

I took a deep breath and focused all my attention.

I relied on the slight vibrations in the air to figure out where he was.

I feel a swift, quiet kick coming from behind . I dodged it by a few tenths of a second before it landed on my head.

“Wow, I didn’t expect to be able to avoid this.”

“You’re like an assassin with the way you make your presence disappear.”

When I turned around, he had a sad expression on his face. However, he imdiately smiled.

“Well, that’s because I was an assassin.”

At that mont, he disappears again, attacking at an increasing rate.

I was able to successfully avoid his formidable kicks and fists. I wondered if what he just said was a asure of my strength….

But still, he was quick. It wasn’t going to get anywhere if I just kept avoiding him.

I should find a weak point sowhere!

Leon looked at sharply, a little exhausted, as I escaped his powerful kick with a backflip.

I could tell that he wasn’t fighting with a half-hearted attitude.

“You’ve got to fight for real.”

“You can’t make serious.”

I dared to provoke him. He grits his teeth.

Unfortunately, I was not as quick as him.

I was able to match his speed for the most part, and I was confident that I would win the next round.

“It’s that leeway that’s pissing off.”

Leon vanished into the darkness again. There was no need to bother looking for soone invisible. Just wait for them to attack.

A fist appeared in front of , along with the sound of a whistling wind. At that mont, I slightly crouched down and put my fist in his midsection with my left hand.

I was slightly faster than him. He let out a pained “gahhhh” and fell down on the ground.

I went after him seriously, so he wouldn’t be able to stand up for a while.

He crawled on the ground and looked up at , frustrated and angry.

“You’re supposed to be blind.”

“You think I was fighting with sight alone? You should fight with all of your senses. Sharpened senses make all the difference.”

Leon lied on his back. Staring at the sky full of stars, he let out a small sigh.

“I guess I lost…”

“I expected you to lose.”

“Are you trying to stir things up?”

I knew Leon was going to lose from the very beginning.

But with more training, he would definitely surpass . And in no ti, too.

“I didn’t know there was soone this strong!”

“Shocked?”

“No way. I’m rather excited. I haven’t been this excited in a long ti.”

Leon’s fiery crimson eyes stared at , giving chills.

That was quite the scary expression on his face. This was what I ant by “terrifying”.
