There were two reasons as to why Jiang Mingwei ca to look for Mu Mingtang today. Firstly, to get back the rank she used to be, and secondly, to find out the reality of the situation in Prince An’s Mansion. In other words, she wanted to know about his physical state and how much he had recovered.

She sat ever so gracefully despite being in turmoil, like a white magnolia inlaid with gold. Her stature conveyed her deanour, how she was unparalleled in dignity, born to power and wealth. Like a crabapple after the rain, she shone brightly and it was unbearable.
In the beginning, it was Mu Mingtang who resembled Jiang Mingwei.
Mu Mingtang was sent to the palace as Jiang Mingwei’s stand-in in her previous life, which ford a bad relationship between the two. The two of them were not alike, but because they were born together, they accompanied each other even throughout lifetis.
These two were like light and shadow, which was why there was always one of them living in the shadow of the other.
