Chapter 261 Mr. Jia Has Superior Intelligence
The last image in their mory?
That was a really good question to ask the chipped-ear guy and Scarface.
The last thing the two of them actually rembered was walking to the villa. However, when they woke up, they found themselves in the villa.
Traces around them and the security guard who woke them up told them they were knocked out at the door. Since they had just woken up, they were still rather groggy and their fractured mories made it logically impossible to explain that they had transiently moved from the road to the villa. So, they naturally accepted the story and even thought it was what they had experienced.
Now that Mr. Jia suddenly asked for details of their mory, they were getting confused and were trying to rember what they were doing before they passed out. Were they entering the villa?
Apparently not...
Were they walking on the road? Did they suddenly faint in the villa? That was a bit too magical, wasn’t? Who would believe that?
Adding to the fact that the two n couldn’t see each other, discuss the situation and exchange glances deepened their powerlessness. They finally had written down the only thing they could rember happening to them. Soon, they finished writing. Mr. Jia got their notes, read them in turn, and nodded his head slightly. “Just like I guessed.”
The head of security was a little puzzled by Mr. Jia’s baffling actions just now. However, now that he saw that Mr. Jia looked like he had guessed correctly, he could no longer contain his curiosity. “Mr. Jia, what’s the result?”
Mr. Jia didn’t answer. Instead, he casually handed the note to his assistant beside him and turned to the head of security. “If it was you, how would you judge this matter?”
The head of security frowned. “If it was , I’d think that a group of people infiltrated the villa and attacked them before emptying the entire second floor!”
Mr. Jia asked, “Then why don’t the two of them rember the other party’s face?”
The head of security replied, “I’m guessing the intruder did a surprise attack from behind the door, right?”
Mr. Jia shook his head and said, “I just checked the location. Although it had been cleaned up, the stairs and the furniture in the living room showed signs of subtle bumping, which ans that the fight should’ve continued from the stairs to the living room, and it went on for quite so ti.”
The head of security looked at Mr. Jia in surprise, then at Scarface and the chipped-ear guy. “Then why don’t they rember the intruder’s face?”
Mr. Jia didn’t explain, but handed the notes in his hand to the head of security.
The head of security looked confused as he took the notes and read it. Even after that, he still looked confused as he looked at Mr Jia. “What... What’s going on here? How is it that what they write is different from what they say?”
Mr. Jia replied, “On the way there, your n had briefly told about the whole situation. However, after I examined the scene, I felt like sothing was wrong.”
“People’s judgnts are easily misguided. When they’re awake, they could hear and see what’s in front of them. Then, they were knocked out cold, and their subconscious made up this mory. So, when you ask them about it again, they’d still think they were knocked down when they walked into the door because they don’t rember it. Their minds simply inferred the events that happened through logical inference.”
“However, when I refined the questions, their blank mories couldn’t be conjured out of thin air so they revealed their true mories.”
The head of security nodded in plausible understanding. “Then why did you make them turn their backs on each other and answer?”
Mr. Jia replied, “I did that in case one of them, or even both of them was an insider. After all, it can’t be ruled out that they acted jointly or if one of them attacked the other.”
Mr. Jia continued, “Besides, I don’t think it was a group of people. I’m more inclined to think it was one person or two at most. The subtle traces of that fight that happened there were a little widespread so it would’ve been impossible for one group to fight against the two of them for that long. They wouldn’t have been foolish enough to keep fighting with one group of people.”
As he spoke, Mr. Jia sat down on the sofa and said with a clouded voice, “I even suspect that only one person fought against them at first. It was another person who ca in to the first person’s aid to defeat them in a short period of ti. It would be impossible to explain the injuries they sustained. They were completely crushed and beaten out which could only an they faced two people.”
The head of security said, “If there were only one or two people, then how do you explain what happened upstairs?”
Mr. Jia shook his head. “I can’t tell for sure because there aren’t even any traces of people handling the items.”
“If you observe the dust and marks in the room, you’ll find that the tables and bookshelves have disappeared into thin air. Even the dust hasn’t been touched. Besides, if the things were carried out of there, there’d probably be scuff marks but they aren’t even there.”
“It’s as if there was a fairy who ca by and took everything away with a snap of a finger.”
The head of security beca even more confused. He touched his bald head and bared his teeth. “Sir, why don’t you just tell the conclusion? Do you have anyone you suspect?”
The security guard next to him quietly tugged on the head of security’s shirt. “Supervisor, Mr. Jia, this isn’t even a clue... How can there be a suspect, you’re forcing the issue.”
Mr. Jia, however, shook his head and said slowly, “I have one.”
Everyone in the room was shocked.
Mr. Jia instructed his female assistant next to him, “Pour a glass of water.”
His female assistant nodded. “Okay.” Saying that, she went to pour the water.
The head of security looked at Mr. Jia’s leisurely appearance and was about to die of anxiety. If he had any hair on his head, he probably would have been in a hurry to pull out his hair...
“Mr. Jia, just say it.” The head of security had a constipated expression on his face.
Mr. Jia slowly took the water poured by his female assistant, took a sip, and said, “I rember you told a few days ago that one of your n, who was spying on people, suddenly fainted.”
The head of security nodded his head in confusion. “Yes, I rember. What does that have to do with anything?” Mr. Jia continued, “I rember he said he was suddenly unconscious. I don’t rember how he passed out. At the ti, I felt that his reaction was a bit strange. After all, a normal person shouldn’t be unaware of even a hint of abnormality. However, there was the possibility of soone else sneaking up on him, or him being sloppy and careless, so I didn’t say much.”
“Now, it would seem that his mory was wiped out as well. Plus, with the two incidents happening so close to each other, it’s 80 to 90% likely that it was done by the sa person or soone related to the incident.”
“They probably have a drug in their possession that can cause people to lose their short mories.”
After saying that, Mr. Jia took a leisurely sip of water.
The head of security slowly opened his mouth in surprise, looking at Mr. Jia like he had seen a ghost.

Finally, he ca back to his senses and said in anger, “So that’s what happened! Su Yang! He’s the culprit!”
When Mr. Jia heard this, his face stiffened unpredictably. However, he soon regained that solemn poker face. Then, the head of security shouted, “Call Sixth Liu!” The security guard next to him replied hastily, “Yes, sir.”
When the security guard went out, the head of security shook Mr. Jia’s hand. “Mr. Jia, you’re so intelligent! If it wasn’t for you, I don’t think I would have been able to guess these things.”
Mr. Jia smiled and replied, “You’re too kind.”
The head of security added, “Do you have any sche that would allow to handle that man better?”
Mr. Jia shook his head slightly. “I don’t really know that person, so it’s hard to say at the mont. There’s no rush on this matter, it needs to be discussed in the long run. After all, it’s very late right now.”
When the head of security heard Mr. Jia say that, he looked at the ti and realized that it was already past two o’clock in the morning. “Oh my god! I was so occupied with the matter at hand that I forgot the ti! I’m so sorry! I’ll have soone send you back!”
Mr. Jia smiled and waved his hand. “It’s fine, it’s fine. My assistant can drive ho, she can drive ho.”
The head of security gave a few more courtesies and saw that Mr. Jia was still rejecting his kind offer, so he no longer insisted.
After leaving the villa, Mr. Jia’s face returned to that solemn poker face he always wore, but a closer look revealed a hint of sadness on his face.
His female assistant was a cute looking girl who looked to be only eighteen or nineteen years old. She wore a white short-sleeved shirt with a dark red and black interwoven plaid skirt underneath.
She followed behind Mr. Jia and asked quaintly, “Stepfather, you seed a bit off just now? Two fees for one job... There’s no difference if you took up one or both jobs. With your character, you’d definitely agree to it normally.”
As soone who had grown up with two dead parents and followed her stepfather, Mr. Jia, she knew his personality best.
Mr. Jia glared at her. “What do you know.”
Afterwards, he sighed, no longer having the cloudiness he had earlier. “I finally understand how being smart can be an unlucky thing this ti.”
The girl asked, “What’s wrong?”
Mr. Jia looked at the dark sky. “Do you rember when a man nad Tang Dafa asked for advice on how to deal with another man?”
The girl thought to herself. “I seem to vaguely recall that.” Mr. Jia replied, “Later, he, along with his patrons, all got destroyed.” The girl asked carelessly, “Who were his patrons?”
Mr. Jia replied, “Chen Ye, and Chen Dinghua.” “Chen Dinghua?!” The girl lost her voice and she even covered her mouth. Then, she said, “Isn’t that one of the few powerful n that’s considered one of Shanghai’s elites?”
Mr. Jia nodded. “Yeah. Even he was brought down.”
“The man I sched to deal with that ti was nad Su Yang...”
His aide’s face could no longer hide her surprise. However, she said, “Maybe it was a coincidence?”
Mr. Jia shook his head slowly, looking at the moon in the dark sky. “I learned about it afterwards. While I couldn’t believe it or figure out how he did it, all the clues pointed to him...”
...
The night went on without another word being said. The next day, Su Yang didn’t get up until after 9 am. It was probably because of the late sleep last night combined with the overly intense exercise he did.
Su Yang, who hadn’t slept in a long ti, stretched out on the bed and rolled over. He continued wrapping himself in the blanket. In the virtual space, everything was warm even in winter and was cool in the sumr. Even the air conditioning didn’t need to be turned on. Everything was perfect.
Just when Su Yang decided to continue to lie in bed for a while, a notification from WeChat beeped.
Su Yang covered his head with a pillow, not wanting to look. However, the WeChat notification rang out one after another!
Su Yang was so angry that he called out the interface, intending to see who was so annoying!
It was his ‘idol’, Lin Jiali...
‘Sigh, why does it feel so predictable that it was her?’
