Chapter 59: Keen eyes
"Have a good and rewarding day, young master!" Sebastian bowed after Reylin took his stuff to the school.
"You too," He replied and went to his classroom.
Sebastian looked at Reylin with a faint smile, then laughed as no one dared to co too close around him!
Only Vis suddenly appeared out of nowhere, and it seed like he had a lot of questions and complaints about Reylin.
These two talked and probably brought this to their classroom.
Sebastian whispered, "Poor students. Mr. Vis can be quite loud!" He turned around and went to the car.
Once he took a driver's seat, Sebastian looked into the mirror and corrected his hair. He also smiled a few tis, each with a new expression. At last, he stepped on the pedal and drove toward the shop.
Sebastian had always been in a good mood ever since the ga appeared.
His young master spent most of the ti here. Sebastian wasn't forced to go around the city to apologize to people and clear up stuff with the mistress, Reylin's mother.
Reylin also chose another path for his last year in school, and the regular school didn't have any room for the butlers.
Sebastian was free until the afternoon!
Of course, shopping and cleaning the apartnt was still a daily task, so Sebastian quickly managed it.
His experience made it seem like Sebastian awakened power in real life!
After Sebastian did his duties, he entered his room and took the VR Helt.
It was ti to continue his life as a butler but in another world!
Sebastian's task was to spread his influence across the royalty.
Butlers and maids often hear a lot of valuable information, so Sebastian would be the sa should he increase his friendship and trust with others.
His work had satisfied many nobles, and he had beco friendly with a lot of the staff. At one point, Sebastian received the quest to beco the assistant of the head butler!
The assistants served the royal family first, then they would be sent to other noble families as certified staff.
In a way, it was like sending spies to various noble houses.
And refusing the certified staff from the royalty would also show that one had sothing to hide!
Sebastian looked forward to that, and he even thought of a bold move; to beco the princess' butler!
The princess despised players.
All nobles were wary and conducted differently around players, but the princess didn't hide her thoughts from them.
Brand and Lares had faced her before, and they found no argunts to speak with her. She just blatantly showered them with her ill-intent and distrust.
Sebastian knew that the princess would be the perfect weapon to monitor Brand and his group of heroes.
Therefore, he would either do as Reylin said! And it was to beco closer to one of the descendants closely related to the princess or just boldly try to beco her butler.
It was a quest for the future, though.
Sebastian worked on the quest now.
"What does the hero do here?" On his way toward the carpenter, Sebastian spotted Ferocious Bear.
It was weird to see her here since the school shouldn't have ended yet for her.
Sebastian checked the clock every thirty minutes, and it was already a habit for him! He was well aware of the ti and that the hero shouldn't be here.
However, was there a person who had never skipped a day or two?
With such a ga in their house, many students skipped classes and played from the morning to the evening.
Sebastian thought that it was the case, but he rembered Reylin's question.
His young master asked him a particular question after he'd left the ga world yesterday!
"Good afternoon, Ferocious Bear," Sebastian decided to speak with her.
"Hello. Do you need- Ah!" Maya rembered Sebastian's face, so her speech turned more formal, and she bowed, "Thank you for driving back ho!"
"There's no need," Sebastian smiled widely.
It was Reylin who paid for the car and the gas anyway!
He smiled and asked, "It looks like you are looking around for sothing. I can help since I know this city well."
"Really? Is uncle playing casually?" Maya asked with big eyes, "Grandma from the market lost her granddaughter, so I promised to help her."
Sebastian didn't flinch when he was called uncle, and he listened to the granddaughter's description instead.
After he learned of Ferocious Bear's quest, he nodded, and the duo split around the city.
Sebastian took care of the carpenter's quest on his way, then spent the ti around the city. After questioning many residents, Sebastian found a clue, and he contacted Maya through the chat.
"It seems that so teenage thugs had kidnapped her," Sebastian sighed, "Youngsters these days are really feckless."
"It must be too scary for her. Let's head on imdiately!" Maya shouted, then ran away.
She didn't let Sebastian reply to her, and he followed her as fast as he could. In his eyes, the hero's actions seed too hasty, but the girl's psyche was on the line.
Many would have thought it was a fair reaction from the hero. Still, Sebastian thought otherwise, knowing what she had gone through beforehand.
The duo of players ran around the city's walls, and they found the group of four teenagers surrounding the seven-year-old child.
That child was the granddaughter Maya was requested to find, and she recognized her.
Those teenagers solely wanted to bribe the grandma for money and food, so they kidnapped her.
Maya's reaction was quite rushed, however, "What are you doing?!" She saw the crying child and imdiately approached her to give her support.
However, Maya took out her sword and yelled at teenagers who wouldn't even be able to threaten her barehanded.
Her shouts bood through the vicinity, and a few leaves fell from the trees.
"Don't you know that this is a dangerous area?! Low-level monsters often wander around the walls, and they can all kill you! You also pulled this fragile and scared child with yourselves! Why?! Can't you see how scared she is?!" Maya waved her sword, and the teenagers dropped onto their bottoms.
Two of them pissed out of the fear, and it seed like it was just the beginning of the scolding.
That was indeed the case.
Hugging and patting the child, Maya's eyes pinned down the kidnappers, and she beca the epito of the demoness for them.
What was a cute lady was gone, and the demoness' soul sprouted out within!
[Forest Wolf Lv. 3]
She was so loud that a few forest wolves had co closer to peek at them.
Though Maya's level was high, they didn't fear her, and they also saw a lot of free prey around. The wolves rushed at the group, but Sebastian had been wary of their surroundings all this ti.
He threw punches around and killed all wolves in one hit!
For the teenagers, he was like a savior, "Uncle!" They shouted, but Sebastian gave them side-glance and silenced them.
He said, "We will return to the city now."
"Yes," Maya replied, and she took the child into her arms.
It was the first ti she held a child, and it was quite a big one. The hero struggled, but at so point, she held her safely and brought her back ho.
The grandma thanked with tears in her eyes, then Sebastian and the hero parted their ways.
That seed like a normal day in another world!
-
"Young Master," Sebastian spoke to Reylin while driving him back ho, "I've t the hero today. She was playing the ga in the afternoon."
Reylin replied with his eyes on the lighter's fire, "No one bothered today."
'What about Mr. Vis?' Sebastian thought inwardly, then coughed!
"But it's like you've thought... That day haunts the hero," Sebastian said.
He talked about what had happened today.
The Hero had received the title and the rights to the territory, then in her free ti, she went around the city to help the residents. It looked like she didn't want to level up while most of her friends were in the school, or at least that's how Sebastian interpreted her actions.
Then, Sebastian told about the incident with the kidnappers.
Reylin replied, "Am I the person who should take care of it?"
"..." Sebastian remained silent.
"I can tell her friends what has happened and let them take care of it. If I am a friend, then they are the best friends. We have known each other for this long," Reylin explained.
However, Sebastian was well aware of what the hero did to Reylin.
They had talked every day for nearly three months, and even though it was through the ga, it was still a talk!
It wasn't that common friendship, and they even began going to the sa school!
Sebastian chose quite a bold move, "If we look at it from a different perspective, the young master has talked more with Ferocious Bear than with Yvonne. Young Master wants to conquer Yvonne despite that, so what's wrong with you helping out the hero?
You know each other, and the young master was also the hero that day."
If Reylin wanted to say a few offensive words at Sebastian, the last sentence erased those words.
The lighter's fire dispersed, and Reylin shoved the lighter back to his pocket, "Let's analyze what we can."
Sebastian sighed heavily after Reylin's words.
He reared his ear and listened.
Reylin carried on with his eyes beyond the car, "Ferocious Bear hasn't skipped school because of the gaming. Otherwise, she would've leveled up. Why? Because Lioness left her troubled on the battlefield, and the best way to erase that feeling would be through leveling up and getting stronger.
The strength is absolute after all."
Sebastian nodded.
"It's plausible that she feels guilty for skipping school, just as you've said. If that's the case, then that day probably keeps her confined in her house.
Her outburst toward kidnappers was because she saw the sa eyes. In real life, that trash wanted to use her. And the sa happened to that child. The kidnappers wanted to use the child to bribe grandma and get money.
The hero saw the sa eyes, and she snapped." Reylin concluded.
At that point, the car stopped, and both of them left it.
On their way toward the apartnt, Reylin added, "We have to see if I am right. That will take so ti, and I promised to spend so ti with the hero. I guess I am gonna form so party for a while."
"Have fun, young master!" Sebastian said, feeling proud of Reylin.
"There's still sothing we must do first. Log into the ga and et at the usual spot," Reylin replied and went to the bathroom.
After a quick bath, he logged into the ga.
