Thane had now realized that he and that angel were not communicating properly.
"That crazy angel! He explained heavenly policies but didn’t even tell that the world I would be in would be a fantasy world like in those Isekai stories!?" Thane cursed and continued to munch on the fruit.
The remote control was in his hands.
Thane was still in the heat of his anger, but decided to use the remote.
A soft hum.
The air shimred—and then with a gentle fwoop, a television appeared. Like the answer to a prayer, he didn’t know he had the faith to ask.
With his strange sight that could pierce through the darkness, Thane saw the rock he shoved forward, which was supposed to be rolling, stopped and froze.
On screen, it displayed: three glowing channels.
- History Fantasy Channel
- Food Fantasy Network
- Discovery Wild Fantasy Channel
Below it were several other channels that were greyed out and blurred.
"Three channels? If I have the TV.. Then..." Thane tried to reach out to a rock close to him and threw it into the air.
The rock began to rise, slowly, and it was as if gravity was no longer working.
As he watched the stone, Thane realized sothing.
"I can see in the dark?!" Thane could now see the room as if it were dayti. Thane could tell that it was dark, but his vision now allowed him to see even in the dark.
"This can’t be the TV... is it...? The Fruit?" Thane turned to the fruit.
He stood up and started to walk around the room, but a notification appeared, and a strange force stopped him.
[Excessive Movent Detected. The Celestial TV is for leisure relaxation and not designed to allow Thane to move around. Please sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.]
[Cancel Celestial TV?]
[Due to the effect of ??? Fruit, Ti has slowed by up to fifteen tis while Celestial TV is on. Exiting will cancel ??? Fruit’s effect. Exit anyway?]
Thane blinked as he saw the series of notifications.
"So basically, I can’t move around so much when watching. Hm... I guess it would be too OP if I could use this anyti, like when fighting an enemy. This TV was an answer to give so -ti. Not for fighting." Thane decided to sit down.
He could still see the stone in the air, slowly falling.
"The fruit gave the TV a boost. This ans, ti doesn’t slow as much as it should... But if the fruit increases the ti slowed? What is this fruit?" Thane thought and bit down.
But as he did, he saw that the slider of the shows that displayed each channel began to move.
And there, he saw a show on the History Fantasy Channel, a picture of a familiar dragon standing in front of a small tree. And on that tree, was a familiar fruit!
Thane was stunned as this was the very dragon he had just encountered!
"The dragon! And that’s the Fruit!!" Thane shouted.
He couldn’t help himself but press on that channel to watch the suggested show. The screen switched and revealed the title of the show.
[The Serpent and the Son]
[Season 1]
Thane glanced around the room. He couldn’t see any exit.
"In any case, if soone cos up to , I could see it given how slow ti is now. Might as well watch..." Thane decided he needed to know more the the world he was in.
CLICK!
FWOOOOSH!
With the click of the remote, the logo of a halo hovering over a TV appeared.
CELESTIAL TV.
The logo vanished, and the screen panned, revealing a very high view of a strange place.
The cara began with a slow aerial sweep of a vast, glowing jungle.
Trees shimred in silver light. Then it cut to a sweeping zoom across a canyon glowing violet under a twin moon sky. The narrator’s voice was deep and dramatic.
"The Forest of a Thousand Form Beast... The Canyon of Violet Walls... The Kingdoms of Sanctus Luminara, Gravulkar, and Elyndoré." The screen cut showing a massive continent seen from the high heavens. A strange icon that looked like Thane’s head floated right at the center of the massive forest on the western side of the continent. "These are but so of the places in the vast continent of Velithra. Ho of many magical beasts. The most well-known is the dragon that has resided in the Forest of a Thousand Form Beast, the Dragon, Dunkar the Outcast."
The screen went dark, then exploded with soaring orchestral music and close-up drone shots of the massive beast flying above the forest canopy. The cara dove through clouds, following the dragon’s wingspan.
"Nice. This is the best surround sound I’ve experienced!"
The music and the screen felt so surreal. Thane felt like he was watching alone in a huge cinema that encompassed all of his vision.
"Dunkar the Outcast! It is quite a rare thing for a Dragon to be defeated. For outside of Dragons, Genies, Titans, and other Creatures of Catastrophe, one who is defeated by a human in combat is bound to great sha. Of course, the defeat of this dragon is another tale entirely. Today, we focus on the journey of this Dragon outcast."
The cara zood in on archival etchings animated in glowing magical ink. Then cut to scenes of fire-wrecked valleys and broken fortresses. Dramatic music intensified.
"Though this dragon was defeated and fled, Fate was kind to this dragon, for the lowly region that he was in, this forest where he crashed into held a great secret. It had within this forest a fruit that would make even the strongest warriors of this planet go wild with rage, envy, and jealousy. Even the most righteous among n would kill for this fruit!" "A fruit?" Thane couldn’t help but glance at the fruit that he was munching.
The cara pulled back, showcasing the deep heart of a jungle. Slow fade into a glowing tree. The tree pulsed like a heart.
"For there was a tree planted by God himself, the tree known as Wallaby’s Journey!"
"Huh? That’s... my na!" Thane was amazed.
A picture of a strange, ruby-red fruit appeared on screen. It sparkled. Twinkled. A heavenly glow rolled off its skin like fog.
Thane froze as he realized this was the sa fruit he was eating!
