Staring at the violent volcano, even for a great demon like Tamamo-no-Mae, her face changed slightly.

Though she was angry, she knew deep down that this bastard in front of her was more powerful than she was. Even if she regained her peak power, she might not be able to defeat him. Moreover, she found it hard to go for the kill against this young man because another will lingered in her soul. If she fought recklessly, she would leave an opening for another woman to take advantage of.

"Bastard..."

Tamamo-no-Mae gritted her teeth silently, feeling extrely frustrated inside.

If the situation weren’t so tricky, with her temperant, she would have preferred to die together than to let this bastard, who had desecrated the noble body of the queen, get away unscathed.

Seeing her finally calming down a bit, Fujiwara Reya let out a sigh of relief.

"Let’s stop for now and disperse our clansn." Fujiwara Reya waved his arm and flew towards the center of the battle, "With your current strength, if I don’t intervene, the Tsuchimikado Family Head would surely not mind having a roasted fox feast here on the spot."

"Which family is the Tsuchimikado family?"

"Uh, the direct descendants of Abe no Seii..."

Upon hearing that na, Tamamo-no-Mae nodded with a cold face.

Outwardly, she appeared to submit, but internally she had already decided that once she recovered her power, she would make the Great Tengu, who violated her, pay and then wash the Tsuchimikado family in blood... no, she would vent her anger on that Family Head today!

Over the vast Nasu Plateau, thick plus of smoke swirled upward, with flas billowing everywhere, and ruins scattered everywhere. Huge craters dotted the landscape like teor strikes, and massive gouges extended for miles in all directions.

On the ground, in the treetops, and within the craters, nurous mangled corpses hung.

There were humans, mbers of the Demon Clan, and so burned beyond recognition by flas, making it impossible to tell which side they belonged to before.

As Fujiwara Reya flew overhead, his eyes coldly swept over the ravaged earth.

He felt a twinge of compassion inside, but he couldn’t show it... destined to beco a god, he couldn’t side with either humans or demons. He could only try to diate and reduce casualties to the minimum.

Above the ruins, the queen in a red dress flew over to the demons.

Her graceful figure stood suspended in the air.

With both hands clasped behind her back, her expression was regal and intimidating, her long, fiery red hair cascading down, held by only a single hairband at the tip.

This red dress, a thousand years ago, she was as beautiful as a flower, gentle as jade, mastering the arts of music, chess, calligraphy, and painting; similarly, this red dress had once disturbed the court, wreaking havoc on the world. With her own power, she had thrown Heian-kyo into endless turmoil, confronting armies of hundreds of thousands.

In that glorious era, she was the most brilliant symbol, with no speck of fire or smoke able to taint her skirt.

Her na was Tamamo-no-Mae.

The most dangerous beauty throughout history, unmatched in her allure.

Now, on the Nasu Plateau, demons prostrated on the ground, chanting "Long live the Queen."

That vividly blood-red dress lightly skimd over the scarred earth.

Demons parted like a tide, lining the path to welco the queen’s return.

Tamamo-no-Mae floated through the center of the demonic horde, with Fujiwara Reya following behind, staring at the rows of demons bowing respectfully. He contemplated whether to beco a Great Tengu himself and have them call out "Long live the King" once.

Fortunately, Tamamo-no-Mae did not give him the ti for childishness.

She moved straight through the demon crowd to the wary mbers of the Onmyo-ryo.

Under the sky filled with dense black smoke, the queen floated aloft, her red dress billowing, outlining tempting curves. Her exquisite face was coldly enchanting; even to adversaries, this vixen exerted a powerful allure over all n without discrimination.

Following her, Fujiwara Reya in a black robe also ca to the congregation.

His handso face bore a gentle smile, as always instilling a sense of peace. Many people’s attention faltered slightly before they recognized his identity, and cheers erupted continuously.

"Greetings, Director Fujiwara—"

In the sky, Fujiwara Reya’s gaze slowly scanned over them, noting many familiar faces. His lips curved into a smile, and in a gentle voice, he said, "Everyone, you’ve worked hard. Please take a rest now."

"Truly unexpected."

The Tsuchimikado Family Head couldn’t help but laugh.

"I’m heading back to Tokyo right away," Fujiwara Reya scratched his head, looking at the Family Head, "Feel free to visit at my Asakusa Shrine when you have ti, but rember not to bring any weapons..."

The Tsuchimikado Family Head’s gaze fell on Tamamo-no-Mae.

Tamamo-no-Mae’s expression turned cold, and she raised her hand intending to give this middle-aged man an unforgettable lesson.

However, her wrist was caught, and Fujiwara Reya whispered at her ear, "Let’s go."

"No!" Tamamo-no-Mae said sowhat peevishly.

Her enchanting, narrow eyes glanced casually over the crowd below, with golden light spilling from them. Everyone who t those tempting eyes felt their hearts skip a beat, and their breaths beca chaotic.

Ultimately, those indifferent eyes settled on the Tsuchimikado Family Head, with a crazed murderous intent surging forth. Her snake-like slender waist twisted, as she was about to seek revenge on her enemy.

The Tsuchimikado Family Head’s expression grew grave, preparing to act.

Fujiwara Reya had no ti for her antics and directly wrapped his arms around her waist, hoisting her over his shoulder.

"No more fighting; go find sothing to eat and rest a bit..."

The echoes reverberated through the empty valley, yet the people were already gone.

Both humans and demons at the scene fell silent, perhaps feeling that continuing the fight was pointless, or maybe the image of the queen being carried away like a little woman was too jarring. The atmosphere of the Nasu Plateau, which had been filled with conflict monts ago, instantly dissipated.
