The Asakusa Shrine in the rain carried a sweet fragrance in the air.
It was the scent of withered leaves being drenched.
In the depths of the courtyard, golden ginkgo leaves drifted gently down onto the soon-to-withered lawn. Mrs. Kasahara watched the leaves’ trajectory, and mused, "Sumr hasn’t even been fully enjoyed yet, and now it’s already autumn..."
"Autumn isn’t bad either."
Fujiwara Reya had a slight smile on his lips, as if there were a hint of wine on them.
Mrs. Kasahara stole a glance at him.
This young man carried with him a kind of dangerous charisma aid at dominating her, a kingly aura that was blinding with power. Yet she wasn’t afraid at all. No matter who ruled over whom, the outco was acceptable to her.
The Bridge Princess and Mirror Princess sat beside Fujiwara Reya and Mrs. Kasahara, respectively, and quietly filled their glasses when they were empty.
Snow Treasure was nestled in Mrs. Kasahara’s arms, while Suzuhiko acted as if she were the host, devouring the dishes prepared by Fujiwara Reya and muttering now and then, "The master suits cooking at ho for ."
"Oh, Mr. Fujiwara, it’s just like a date." Mrs. Kasahara bluntly voiced the thought that had surfaced in her mind.
Fujiwara Reya picked up his glass, drinking as he looked at her.
"How does it feel to date your mother-in-law?" Mrs. Kasahara asked him with a smile, then leaned over towards him with an "ah—" and an open mouth.
"Quite good." Fujiwara Reya fed her the remaining wine from his glass.
A hint of a smile appeared on Mrs. Kasahara’s lips.
It was a contagious smile, and Fujiwara Reya t her gaze.
Her eyes shimred with mischief, youth, and carefree spirit...
"I’ve decided." Mrs. Kasahara stretched lazily, "When I get ho tonight, I’ll sleep in this outfit, so please leave a mark on it, Mr. Fujiwara, so I can have sweet dreams."
"What kind of mark?"
"Like a scent or genetic material or sothing."
"..."
"Also, it’s sowhat inconvenient having no n at ho. If you have the ti, do co visit more often..."
"I’m not worthy."
"Stop pretending. You cheeky young man! Wow, hehe, hehe..."
Mrs. Kasahara’s smile resurfaced.
At that mont, she was an elegant beauty, her gentle words decorated with a smile that seed lonely and pitiable... at least from Fujiwara Reya’s perspective.
Mrs. Kasahara’s eyes twinkled as she pulled out her phone.
"Co, let show you how hard-working my daughter is now."
Fujiwara Reya leaned over, head in hands, to look at a surveillance image from the Tokyo Grand Shrine on her phone.
Wearing a miko outfit, a junior sat alone, kneeling in front of a heap of scrolls, nodding off.
"Poor Xiangxiang," Mrs. Kasahara lanted.
As soon as she finished speaking, she leaned toward Fujiwara Reya with an "ah—" and pouted her lips toward him.
She moved closer, and Fujiwara Reya caught a whiff of her rich scent as he used his chopsticks to pick up a slice of sashimi and popped it into her mouth, comnting, "It’s your fault Xiangxiang is so miserable."
"Get out of here."
Mrs. Kasahara punched him lightly, puffing with annoyance.
Not satisfied with just one punch, she set her phone down and stood up.
Bam!
A gust of air rippled out.
The stunning beauty in a kimono made a gesture with her fingers.
Her jet-black long hair was elegantly pinched up at the back of her head, and her exquisite, doll-like face appeared both bewitching and innocent. Her breathtakingly beautiful eyes—when they contained only you, your heart would race, and she seed not to care about you at all.
Wrapped in the light of divine power at her fingertips, she was like a lone, magnificent daffodil in bloom.
"Don’t be so disrespectful," Fujiwara Reya pulled her hand.
Mrs. Kasahara sat back down obediently with a giggle, letting him hold her hand, and cooed, "Can’t you, as a father, show a little concern? Xiangxiang is your daughter too, you know. You can’t leave all her education to ..."
Fujiwara Reya couldn’t resist her charm any longer and imdiately raised his hand to swear, "Once I’m done with my current work, I will, for sure!"
"That’s more like it."
Mrs. Kasahara’s expression softened into that of a gentle elder sister.
Innocent, playful, languid, noble, dignified, cunning, gentle... there was no deanor she couldn’t master. Especially the clavicle above her crescent-shaped neckline, its whiteness captivated attention, making you want to bury all worries in the robust, full groove under her collarbone.
Fujiwara Reya watched intently.
"Where are you looking at!?" Mrs. Kasahara snapped, tapping his head.
*He was being quite cheeky...* Fujiwara Reya looked up in exalted retreat, and picked up his wine glass.
The Bridge Princess beside him imdiately filled his glass.
Before Fujiwara Reya could drink, Suzuhiko seized the glass, guzzling it down in one go. Not forgetting to wipe her lips, she instructed Fujiwara Reya, "Have her send another pot of wine to my room at night."
"Who’s the master here, anyway!?" Fujiwara Reya snatched his glass back.
"The master’s things are my things." Suzuhiko’s tone shifted, and a not-so-elegant, even slightly enchanting smile appeared on her lips.
Being an SSR character, her intelligence was nearly on par with ordinary humans upon appearing.
Mrs. Kasahara glanced at Suzuhiko, then with a terrifying look, turned to Fujiwara Reya, "Put this one away."
"Right away!"
"And those two!"
"No problem, uh... where’s the Snow Princess?"
"Store her away as well."
"Got it!"
Fujiwara Reya promptly stored away all of his Shikigami.
Mrs. Kasahara smiled with satisfaction.
Her red lips revealed neat, bright white teeth.
"Co here." She softly raised her hand.
Fujiwara Reya imdiately scooted closer.
"Close your eyes and don’t make a sound." Mrs. Kasahara extended her fair arm, lifting a Little Fox-like fist.
