Chapter 615: The Flying Eagle

The flower of the Life Vine took more than an hour to completely decompose into tiny specks of light, all of which seeped into Anna’s body.

The singing stopped. Anna looked tired but joy was reflected in her radiant eyes, affirming her successful healing session.

At Anna’s feet, a green halo appeared and expanded from under her feet, radiating like ripples in the water. As Anna stood up, she waved her hand and a white light fell on Song Jian, instantly sweeping away the injuries and ntal fatigue he sustained from the previous battle.

Song Jian looked at Anna in surprise. Her ability to restore his Vitality Points and Spirit Points was not surprising. However, the fact that she could eliminate ntal fatigue stunned him.

ntal fatigue is a similar to a value of exhaustion, which slowly accumulates whether through battling or other activities. Once it reaches a certain level, it impacts one’s health and can only be eliminated through ans such as sleep or ditation;

If fatigue could be removed, Song Jian could actually battle non-stop twenty-four hours a day.

“Thank you, Anna!” Song Jian smiled with a touch of regret in his heart, “It is a pity that I couldn’t recruit you as my follower.”

“Don’t ntion it!” Anna replied with a radiant smile.

“Anna, what is your profession now?” Song Jian asked curiously. After Anna’s upgrade, her attributes had been completely hidden. From his perspective, apart from her na, all he could see were question marks;

“I have been promoted to the legendary occupation of Life Guardian. Unfortunately, this occupation has reached its peak at the legendary level and cannot be further enhanced.” There was a hint of disappointnt in Anna’s eyes, but it quickly disappeared and she said with a smile of joy, “However, I now have the ability to fight. If similar situations occur in the future, even if I’m alone, I can complete them!”

Song Jian nodded and the two walked towards the exit of the instance run;

To enter the Mysterious Garden instance run, one needs to activate a seed. But to leave, no such object is required. When they arrived at the entrance platform, a light door already existed there, waiting for them to exit.

As he looked at the light door, Song Jian thought, “If only it could transport back to Doomsday City.”

Without the Concealnt Ring, Song Jian could no longer enter Doomsday City through the Protection Black Mist. Moreover, there was no Teleportation Array in Doomsday City, so if he wanted to return, he had to use the spot-teleportation technique.

There is a distinction in the spot-teleportation, mainly in terms of success rate. Simple spot-teleportation has at best a 50% success rate. The more reliable the spot-teleportation, the more valuable it is. The most advanced technique in the City of Sin could reach a success rate of 89%.

“If push cos to shove, I’ll have to ask Anna for a spot-teleportation device!” thought Song Jian in his heart.

Spot-teleportation is sowhat dangerous. Not only is the success rate variable, but the so-called “spot” it refers to is only a designated area. I can’t guarantee that the destination after teleportation is safe.

If he had the choice, Song Jian wouldn’t want to use it. The safest and quickest thod would be like the light door in front of him, a product of the system, ensured to be good quality.

Song Jian and Anna entered the light door one after another, leaving the instance run.

The scenery blurred. When they opened their eyes again, they were standing in front of the stone door in the valley.

At this mont, Kane, along with a big group of his people from the Blackhoof Tribe, stood in front of the instance run door as if they were waiting for sothing. Seeing Song Jian coming out, Kane breathed a sigh of relief, looking as if a heavy burden had been lifted from his shoulders.

“Song Jian, are you alright?” Kane walked up to him, gave him a heavy hug, patted his shoulder and asked.

“I’m okay, there were three rat-n who broke in. Two were killed by , and one escaped,” Song Jian laughed, “But we achieved our goal. Anna has successfully advanced to the legendary profession, the Life Guardian.”

“What, a Legendary profession?” Kane was shocked. In the hundreds of years history of the Blackhoof Tribe, only one Epic level professional has ever appeared. The legendary profession, to them, was akin to a deity’s spokesperson on earth.

There was a buzz of discussion among the Minotaurs behind Kane, all their eyes filled with awe as they looked at Anna.

“Oh, right, why are you all standing here?” Song Jian asked curiously. There was a much larger group sending him off into the instance run this ti than the last, with more than a hundred Minotaur warriors gathered. They all had stern expressions and weapons in their hands as if preparing for a battle.

“The three rat-n you ntioned used an evil spell to break the taboo of the secret land gate, killing so of our tribesn,” said Kane solemnly. “We detected this and called our warriors here to investigate!”

“We were lucky. After arriving here, we caught the man who escaped from the secret land. He must be the one that got away that you ntioned,” Kane said gravely. “Bring that guy over!”

Soon, under the escort of four Minotaurs, an eagle took flight.

Looking at Song Jian and Anna, the eagle’s face showed despair: “I didn’t expect even Eagle-Yang to be no match for you…”

Song Jian gave the eagle a cold glance. This creature was capable of summoning abyssal demons. Although they were just the lowest ranked demons, possessing such abilities still made it an elite among average players.

Song Jian nodded and said, “These were the three. I killed his two partners. As for this one, I’ll leave him to you.”

Kane looked at the eagle with cold eyes, cracked a smile and said, “They used the blood and lives of our tribesn for their evil ceremony. We will do the sa with their blood and lives to give our people peace. Take him away, and we will hold a sky worship ceremony in a few days to let the spirits of our tribesn rest.”

Upon hearing the words “sky worship ceremony”, the eagle showed a look of horror and despair, struggling violently, “No, no, kill now, kill now, ah~”

Seeing the fear in the eyes of the eagle and its futile struggle, it was clear that it knew about the content of the sky worship ceremony, which was not a very friendly or even a bloody event for the one being sacrificed.

Song Jian didn’t bother with him. He was about to return to the Blackhoof tribe with Kane when suddenly a shining point of light appeared in the sky and quickly flew towards them, crashing down into the valley like a shooting star;

“It’s an urgent ssage from the City Lord Mansion!” Anna looked up at the light and showed a serious expression, “This kind of communication is only used when an ergency occurs. Sothing important must have happened in the City Lord Mansion.”

The light soon flew to Anna, floating in front of her, and countless particles of light dispersed in all directions. An anxious voice echoed in the air;

“Anna, the City Lord’s health is deteriorating rapidly. You must rush back to the City Lord Mansion as soon as possible!”
