Chapter 603: The Gate
At this mont, Song Jian had no idea that several other players had entered the duplicate where he was. He made his way along the tallic corridor towards the deepest part of the floating base, quickly arriving at the largest laboratory marked in the discarded diary.
This laboratory had no number, but the researchers in the base referred to it as Laboratory Zero.
The floating base had been unused for a long ti, many of the room’s entrances had lost their resistance. However, the laboratory in front of Song Jian had all its facilities intact. Even the two laser cannons at the laboratory entrance were still operational. Caught off guard, Song Jian was severely attacked twice, losing over 1,900 of his over 2,000 vitality points. He almost died, inducing cold sweat across his forehead and a wave of fear.
“Damn it, I assud that all internal defenses in the base are defunct, disregarded this place too…how careless!” Song Jian exclaid. He sat at a curve in the tal passageway, taking out supplies and started to recover his vitality points.
“The diary did not lie; this must be the lab for studying the life vines, the most important place in the entire floating base. Otherwise, its defenses would not have been preserved this well!” Song Jian reflected.
These two laser cannons would indeed pose a threat to Song Jian if operated by soone, but currently, they could only act defensively and couldn’t stop Song Jian at all.
With a thought, a pitch-black figure appeared before Song Jian. It looked almost identical to him, even its equipnt.
Abyssal Phantom Clone!
A phantom clone made using the Abyssal Power has seventy percent of Song Jian’s attributes and skill power and also inherited all equipnt attributes;

A white light suddenly appeared under the clone’s feet, and a chill emanated from its feet. Its body was also covered in a layer of gray–black, appearing like a dark shadow. At the sa ti, Song Jian mirrored the actions of the phantom clone.

An emotionless chanical voice echoed throughout the passageway. The door to the laboratory, originally made of tempered glass, suddenly had two tal alloy doors descend over it from above and the left, blocking the entrance completely.
Song Jian sneered, swinging his sword towards the tal alloy door;

A dull sound echoed as sparks scattered, leaving Song Jian’s arm numb. Looking at the tal alloy door, only a white sword mark remained on the surface. As he lightly brushed his hand across, the white mark disappeared, leaving only a shallow sword mark on the door.
Song Jian was taken aback. What on earth was this material made of? His Crimson Fire Heart Ape Sword with the colorless Sword Qi had only left such a shallow mark?
“This…this material seems to be the sa as the chains that bound the fallen puppet beast!” Song Jian, touching the cold tal alloy door, showed a surprised look in his eyes.
“No wonder it’s so hard but thinking that such thing could stop is rather naive!” Song Jian laughed, continuing to hack at the alloy door;

It won’t last for more than two more rounds, rendering the sword useless.
The Crimson Fire Heart Ape Sword and the Golden Demonslaying Sword were Song Jian’s most potent weapons. Even the Ant Emperor Ancestor Set didn’t have any weapons. If he wore out the Crimson Fire Heart Ape Sword here, it would be too tragic for Song Jian;
Moreover, judging by the tal alloy door, despite the over a foot-long gap made by hacking, if he wanted to destroy the entire gate, he would need to trigger the “Indestructible” effect, at least a dozen tis. By then, even if the Crimson Fire Heart Ape Sword was worn out, he still wouldn’t be able to break open this gate, even if he were to wear out the Golden Demonslaying Sword.
Also, don’t forget, there are two tal alloy doors, after breaking one down, there is still another.
