Chapter 1281: Chapter 1283: Dragon Bone Plain Chapter 1281: Chapter 1283: Dragon Bone Plain Although the Black Dragon could not speak, it was able to communicate its thoughts to Song Jian through a kind of ntal transmission because it was his war pet.

This was a special way of connection between war pets and their masters, but Song Jian rarely received such complex information from his pets. It was mostly simple emotions like “eat”, “hungry”, “fight”, “rest”, “angry”.

Then, another large stream of information erged in Song Jian’s mind. This ti, it was the more detailed information on the Dragon Clan’s promotion. The Dragon God Altar was located deep within the Dragon Bone Plain, a place known only to the Dragon Clan.

Pure-blooded mbers of the Dragon Clan only visited this place twice in their lifeti: once when they were promoted from Lord to Commander level and needed to accept the Dragon God’s Blessing at the Dragon God Altar to unlock the power of their bloodline and inherit their bloodline traits. The other ti was when a mber of the Dragon Clan was about to die; they must return to the Dragon Bone Plain to die in this unique graveyard of their kin.

“Are you sure I can go with you?” Song Jian revealed a puzzled look on his face. After all, since the Black Dragon was his war pet, he had even been the object of hostility from the Dragon Clan. An ancient Red Dragon had even burst into the City of Hope, almost leveling it to the ground.

The Dragon Clan was extrely averse to becoming war pets and mounts for others!

The Black Dragon glanced at Song Jian and let out a light hum, nodding slightly. It then tugged at Song Jian’s clothes, gesturing for him to climb onto its back.

“Sigh, alright, I’ll go with you then!” Song Jian nodded, swung onto the back of the Black Dragon, and with a roar of the dragon and a gust of wind, the Black Dragon flapped its wings and soared into the sky.

The gars in the City of Hope, seeing Song Jian ride away on the Black Dragon, showed envious expressions in their eyes. Everyone dread of having a powerful flying mount, and the Black Dragon was the ultimate kind.

Riding the Black Dragon in the sky was indeed much more comfortable than using wings or practicing the Sword Flight Art, and the Black Dragon’s speed was not a bit slower than that of Sword Flight Art. Before long, Song Jian could no longer see the City of Hope.

Song Jian didn’t know where the Dragon Bone Plain was, so he rode on the Black Dragon’s back, letting it take him soaring through the sky. At first, Song Jian rembered so landmarks on the ground, but as the Black Dragon flew above the clouds, Song Jian completely lost his sense of direction.

After flying for at least a day and a night, the Black Dragon slowly descended. They arrived in a mountainous forest and randomly found a cave. Song Jian lit a bundle of repellent sachets and threw it into the cave.

In a short amount of ti, a thick sulfuric dicinal sll from the sachets spread from the cave, emitting dark yellow smoke.

These were repellent sachets crafted by players with pharmacology knowledge. By lighting them up, they produced a strong, pungent odor that drove the surrounding poisonous insects away. Adventurers in the wilderness would always carry a few such sachets.

Soon, what seed to be an abandoned cave teed with poisonous insects scurrying out as the smoke slowly cleared. After ensuring no more insects erged, Song Jian brought the Black Dragon into the Pet Space and entered the cave himself.

He didn’t know how much longer it would be to the Dragon Bone Plain, but at this point, Song Jian was at least eight hundred kiloters away from the City of Hope.

Just as Song Jian had settled down, he suddenly heard a roar from deep in the mountain forest, as if so monsters were fighting. Song Jian turned over, and it seed that this forest had not yet been trodden by players. There were many powerful monsters, but due to the Black Dragon’s aura, the monsters near the cave had all fled.

The roar continued for most of the night before slowly stopping. From the sound of it, it seed like two strong monsters were battling. Song Jian could sll a faint scent of blood in the air and felt occasional tremors from the mountain.

As the sky lightened, Song Jian sat up and Summoned the Black Dragon to continue on their journey. It was not until the Black Dragon rose into the air that Song Jian saw a giant python with a single horn, stretching a hundred feet long and lying in the mountain forest surrounded by signs of the nocturnal battle.

Song Jian’s eyes flickered, and he imdiately used the Eye of Insight. The giant python turned out to be a level 120 Commander-level BOSS, likely the main combatant of last night’s battle. Sadly, it seed to have been defeated, leaving only its body behind.

“It won’t be long before this carcass is gnawed down to a pile of bones…” Song Jian thought to himself.

The body of a formidable boss creature had a great attraction to other monsters; consuming its flesh and blood could enhance the aptitude and advancent chances of weaker monsters.

However, this horned python was the spoils of another boss creature, and other monsters dared not approach until the victor’s scent had faded away.

The Black Dragon quickly flew back into the clouds and headed in a particular direction.

After almost a week of flight, the Black Dragon finally descended from the clouds. As it continued to soar in the sky, Song Jian knew that they were approaching the Dragon Bone Plain.

At that mont, Song Jian suddenly felt a vast shadow engulf him and the Black Dragon. Initially thinking it was just a large cloud, when Song Jian looked up, he was shocked to discover a Giant Dragon overhead, its size dwarfing the Black Dragon by dozens of tis. The Giant Dragon floated above him like a small island, its posture graceful, its speed deceptively fast, and in no ti it had flown to the front of the Black Dragon.

Song Jian watched the Giant Dragon in awe, and he also sensed that its power was beyond his perception range. Despite its massive size, Song Jian could not feel its presence at all.

This kind of situation only happened when one’s perception was completely overwheld!

Yet Song Jian could sense the aura of death emanating from this Giant Dragon. It must be a dying dragon that had co to the Dragon Bone Plain in advance to find its final resting place, sensing its impending death.

It was known that even dragons in their dying throes could live for another decade or even several, fully capable of finding their last resting place and grave during this ti.

Soon, Song Jian saw a vast plain ahead, with pale skeletal fossils standing erect across the landscape. The remains of colossal beasts were scattered across the entire wasteland.

“Are these all the bones of Giant Dragons?” Song Jian exclaid in surprise. Even the nails of these colossal beasts were bigger than his entire body.

However, the Black Dragon simply glanced at him and transmitted a piece of information.

“These are not the bones of Giant Dragons, but the remains of poachers who sought to enter the Dragon Bone Plain and take the relics of dead dragons!”

Song Jian was startled but quickly realized that every part of a dragon was valuable, and the Dragon Bone Plain was their ultimate habitat. Whereas it was rare to find dragon carcasses elsewhere, here they were relatively easy to find. If one found a dragon, even consuming so of its flesh and blood could bring imnse benefits to the monsters. Clearly, the plain had its own defensive forces, leading those colossal beasts to failure, and so of them even stayed forever, their remains fossilized as a warning to others who might try to poach on the plain!

Roar~

An angry roar suddenly exploded next to Song Jian’s ear. Where there had been nothing but empty air, a translucent phantom suddenly materialized. This phantom looked like a dragon, blocking the Black Dragon’s path.

“This is… Dragon Soul!” Song Jian exclaid in astonishnt, staring at the Dragon Soul ahead as his body involuntarily began to tremble.
