Chapter 1049: Chapter 1051: Dreamlike Journey_1 Chapter 1049: Chapter 1051: Dreamlike Journey_1 Guided by Ma Rui, Song Jian quickly arrived at Fengming City’s Adventurer’s Bar.

This establishnt was more than just a place for drinks; it was the most well-inford location in the entire city. Here, one could drink, lodge, gamble, trade, and even hire mounts.

Entering the bar, Song Jian was sowhat surprised to find that it wasn’t like other city bars—it was crowded yet not noisy. Soft music played in the background, and patrons sat in individual compartnts, speaking in hushed tones. If one didn’t get close, it was impossible to hear what they were discussing.

Besides the small compartnts, the bar also had private rooms and booths for those who preferred not to sit in the main hall’s compartnts.

Glancing around the main hall, there were at least a dozen adventurers in the booths, but very few players; almost all were NPC adventurers.

The majority of these adventurers were at second-tier Combat Power, with so even reaching third-tier.

Almost all of them were holding a cocktail of many colors, conversing with each other while sipping their drinks little by little.

While these colorful cocktails looked pretty, Song Jian could tell from the sll that the alcohol content was quite low, roughly equivalent to a beer in the real world.

Song Jian approached the bar, where a bartender dressed in a black suit was wiping a cocktail glass with a blue velvet cloth.

“Hello, I’d like to ask…” Song Jian began.

“Two hundred Doomsday Coins for a ‘Dream Journey’!” the bartender said without looking up.

Song Jian frowned slightly, “What…”

“Two hundred a glass, ‘Dream Journey’!” the bartender looked up at him, nodded toward the other adventurers in the hall, and said.

It seed that it was a rule of the bar to purchase a “Dream Journey” cocktail for two hundred Doomsday Coins before asking for information.

Song Jian took out two hundred Doomsday Coins and slapped them on the bar, “One ‘Dream Journey,’ please!”

The bartender smiled at Song Jian, deftly arranged a dozen bottles like magic, and began pouring them into a mixer in various proportions. After a series of eye-dazzling, acrobatic bartending maneuvers, the mixer seed like a lively elf dancing joyously around the bartender.

Pop~

With a light sound, the mixer landed steadily on the bar. After resting for a few seconds, the bartender opened it, and a rich aroma wafted out.

The bartender poured the prepared drink into a glass, then added two drops of a silver liquid. The initially turbid liquid slowly began to settle, and in a short while, sparkling points of light erged in the drink, reminiscent of the night sky.

Quickly, the silver drops began to spread, soon radiating a dazzling light, much like the blazing sun, turning the previous starry scene into one with a scorching sun overhead.

“It’s really magical…” Song Jian couldn’t help but exclaim. He could feel that this cocktail was just an ordinary one, without any magical power.

The originally strong aroma of the cocktail had now beco faint, as the bartender gently pushed the cocktail towards Song Jian.

“Ethereal Journey!” the bartender said in a subdued tone, and then he took out an upside-down glass and began to gently wipe it with blue velvet.

Song Jian stared at the cocktail, and within a short while, the fla-like glow in the glass slowly vanished, replaced by a brilliant rainbow with its colors arranged from top to bottom in a curved arc.

Song Jian picked it up and took a gentle sip. Indeed, the taste in his mouth was very light, almost indistinguishable from beer, but as Song Jian swallowed, he imdiately felt a line of fire travel from his throat into his stomach, as if he had drunk a piece of charcoal. His face instantly turned red, and his whole body felt like it was about to boil.

Just when Song Jian felt like he couldn’t take it anymore, a slight dizziness ca over him, as if he was weightless in space, light-headed, his mind completely blank, wanting nothing. He felt as if he were lying on a cloud, drifting with the wind.

After a long while, the feeling gradually disappeared. Song Jian took a deep breath, feeling slightly oxygen-deprived. At that mont, the Scorching Gorge, the epic quests, the Sword Immortal armor set—all of these he left behind in his mind. Now, he just wanted to slowly savor this cocktail sip by sip.

Just then, the bar’s entrance was suddenly flung open by a burly man with a “bang,” as the door slamd against the wall, then quickly rebounded back, caught in the hands of the man.

“Scorching Gorge, find the Three-tailed Fire Scorpion, reward of half a million Doomsday Coins, and if not found within seven days, a consolation fee of a hundred thousand Doomsday Coins and all expenses covered!” the brawny man shouted into the bar, “Only three spots available, must be at Second-tier Peak Combat Power or above, and not afraid to die. Follow , Duo Tuo Luo, to make a fortune!”

“Duo Tuo Luo, you have broken the rules!” The bartender’s face turned ominously dark as he put down the glass and drew a double-barreled shotgun from under the counter. With a “click,” he opened the action, loaded two silver bullets as thick as fingers, and aid at the burly man at the door.

“Jason, I’m a regular here, how could I not know the rules?” Duo Tuo Luo glanced at the bartender with a mocking expression and took out two banknotes from his pocket, throwing them at the bartender.

The two paper-thin Doomsday Coins whistled through the air like bullets, embedding themselves deeply into the wooden bar counter with incredible speed.

Song Jian narrowed his eyes; each corner of the banknotes had burrowed deep into the wood, so deeply that ordinary people would not be able to remove them without damaging the counter and the notes.

“Hmph, there’s never any good when you show up!” Although the bartender, Jason, still looked displeased, he slowly put away the shotgun and tapped lightly on the counter twice. The two banknotes jumped out by themselves, landing lightly on the counter before Jason snatched them up.

“The cocktail is gone, consider it as the repair fee for the counter…” Jason said coldly, glancing at Duo Tuo Luo.

Duo Tuo Luo just shrugged, seemingly unconcerned.

“Three-tailed Fire Scorpion, Duo Tuo Luo, have you lost your mind? That’s a creature that only appears deep within the Scorching Gorge. Who would go there for a re hundred thousand Doomsday Coins? Are they looking to lose their lives?” An NPC adventurer with one eye, dressed like a pirate, stood up from a corner and laughed loudly, “Three days, full expenses covered, and a paynt of three hundred thousand whether captured or not. I, the one-eyed Dan Slave, am willing to go with you!”

Duo Tuo Luo looked at the one-eyed Dan Slave and his lips curled into a disdainful smirk. He let out a cold snort but before he could reply, Song Jian rose to his feet and said to Duo Tuo Luo, “I’m willing to go, but once we enter the Scorching Gorge and capture the Three-tailed Fire Scorpion, I have other business and will need to split from the group. Is that alright?”
