Fang Ye and Lan Li strolled casually while chatting.

"Once the cherry blossom forest is ready, let's take a picture of you when the cherry blossoms bloom next year."

"Sure, the scene with cherry blossoms in full bloom must be really beautiful."

As they walked, a visitor spotted them, glanced at Fang Ye, and seed a bit stunned, "Eh, the zoo director?"

Fang Ye smiled, nodded, and replied, "Hello!"

Scratching his head, the visitor said, "I almost didn't recognize you! Don't you usually wear that camouflage outfit? This outfit looks nice though."

"Yeah, I'm off today, so I didn't wear my work clothes. You can buy this one in our zoo's souvenir shop!"

Fang Ye effortlessly pitched their rchandise.

"Then I'll have to buy a couple." The visitor, looking at the handso Fang Ye and the pretty Lan Li, thought they made a gorgeous couple and felt tempted.

He usually didn't browse the souvenir shop and wasn't interested in wearing such items. However, his child was of dating age, and he thought wearing matching outfits as a couple seed quite nice. Buying it as a gift for his child would probably be a great idea.

The mixed-species exhibit.

Fang Ye got so feed from the animal keeper and went in with Lan Li.

It had been a while since he played with the foxes, and he missed them.

Not long after entering the area, they encountered a young sika deer at the edge of the woods.

Startled by their presence, the deer stopped abruptly, its ears perked up.

White spots like plum blossoms adorned its body, and its eyelashes fluttered, looking at them with spirited eyes.

The young sika deer wasn't very afraid of people since it saw animal keepers and visitors every day. However, being this close to people made it sowhat nervous, and it hesitated before turning to run away.

"Ah, how cute."

Lan Li loved these beautiful and cute animals, like foxes, red pandas, sika deer, and such.

She spoke very softly, afraid to scare it.

Fang Ye released a soothing skill and smiled at the deer, beckoning, "Co here, don't be afraid."

The feeling of unease vanished, and curiosity quickly prevailed; the deer trotted over gracefully.

Approaching Fang Ye, the deer sniffed around him.

"Nah, nah!"

Lan Li took the opportunity to reach out and touch it!

As she patted the deer's head, she also handed it so grass to eat.

The deer enjoyed the grass, its tongue lapping in Lan Li's palm. After finishing, it looked up at her and "nah-nahed" for more.

Lan Li bead with joy, interacting sweetly with the deer, while Fang Ye watched her with a tender smile.

Suddenly sensing sothing, he turned his head and saw a fox peeking from behind a nearby benjeshecken, watching them secretly.

It was Sugar Pack!

The fox didn't bound over happily as usual but stared at him intently, a look of confusion in its eyes: stare~

With his clothes changed and from so distance away, even the fox had trouble recognizing him.

"Sugar Pack, Sugar Pack~"

A smile appeared at the corner of Fang Ye's mouth as he clapped his hands.

Once Sugar Pack was sure it was him, she stayed put instead of coming over, her gaze full of silent reproach: stare~

Why co over and play with the deer instead of playing with us foxes? Have you forgotten your old friends now that you have new favorites?

"Oh dear, soone's a little sour," Fang Ye remarked, and took the initiative to walk over and crouch in front of Sugar Pack.

He reached out and patted Sugar Pack's head, "There, there. I know little foxes need petting to be happy..."

Then he pulled out a small piece of apple from his pocket and said with a beaming smile, "Here, have an apple!"

Gently stroking Sugar Pack with his skilled hands while offering it delicious treats, Fang Ye employed both tactics simultaneously, and Sugar Pack soon forgot its unhappiness, making contented sounds of 'awu awu, awu awu'.

After gobbling down several pieces, it transford back into a cheerful and lively youngster, its eyes narrowed into crescent shapes as it playfully circled Fang Ye, making a whining sound as if to act coquettishly.

With the season's change, its pale yellow cheese-like fur grew even more beautiful, resembling a fluffy ball, soft and warm to the touch.

"Lan Li, co on, let's go see the foxes!"

Fang Ye called out as he stood up—he couldn't leave her alone here, in case one of the deer went nuts and attacked.

Sugar Pack ran ahead joyfully, leading the way to the territory of their fox species, its fluffy tail swishing like a flag, its white tip standing out conspicuously.

It would run ahead for a bit then look back to wait for Fang Ye, before running back to circle around his feet.

"Sugar Pack, do you still rember ?" Lan Li also greeted it.

Sugar Pack ran up to her side, raising its head, its black shining eyes gazing at her, and it lightly pawed at her leg.

"Ying ying ying!"

Given its attitude, it seed to still rember.

But then again, it might not; Sugar Pack was naturally bold and affectionate, excelling at drawing attention, often going near visitors to act cute.

The foxes had already dug their dens on the small hill, using them as a base to move around nearby.

Xiaoqiao stood on a big rock, glaring at Fang Ye and barked angrily, "Woof-ow~!"

Her anger made her voice switch from 'ying ying ying' to a combination of cat and dog sounds.

In any case, if Fang Ye had not visited her for a while, Xiaoqiao would be upset the next ti he ca, her mood flipping faster than a book.

The prince was originally sprawling lazily in front of the den, sleeping on the grass, but he got up upon hearing the noise, looking around in a daze: what's happening, an enemy attacking our territory?

Upon closer inspection, oh, it's the zoo director.

He ran to Fang Ye's side, rubbing against him ingratiatingly and received an apple to munch on, then whispered 'ying ying' to Sugar Pack a couple of tis.

Big Sister is mad again!

Another fox head peeked out from the den entrance, Youyou looked around cautiously, "Ying ying ying?"

What's going on?

Fang Ye chuckled, "You seem to be quite comfortable here, diving into the den every day and disappearing from sight, just like a hobody. Why don't you co out and play?"

Youyou made a lodic 'ying ying ying' sound, as if to argue.

What's wrong with being a hobody? That's what I enjoy!

She did co out to play; when there were no visitors around, she'd be active outside.

Lan Li picked up the prince onto her lap and scratched its neck, "Hehe, prince, have you gained weight again?"

The prince purred with delight, its tail wagging back and forth.

Fang Ye cheered up Xiaoqiao again, used his soothing skill to make Youyou let down her guard, and played heartily with several foxes.

The visitors outside watched the two of them pet the foxes, green with envy.

Lion exhibit.

The animal keeper Li reported to Fang Ye, "Today, Yueyue's behavior was a bit unusual. During feeding, she fought with Kaka over the at and even snarled at him."

Fang Ye looked over the exhibit, where Yueyue and Kaka were lying side by side on the sowhat withered grass, basking in the lazy sun, and speculated, "Could she be pregnant?"

About 40 days had passed since the last ti the lions mated during their mating season.

If she was pregnant, it wouldn't be apparent at the beginning, but as ti passed, so abnormal behaviors, such as increased appetite, reduced activity, and swelling mammary glands, would start to show.

He used his Eye of Observation to check.

[African lion: Yueyue

Age: 5 years old

Health status: Pregnant]

Fang Ye's mood imdiately surged with excitent, "She really is pregnant!"
