Farewell, Yaksha, the Monkey King had a goal, to seek sects or large families’ Institute of Enlightennt for recomndation.

In Dongsheng Divine Continent, the Cultivation World was flourishing, with many cultivators residing deep within famous mountains and rivers. The Monkey King, heedless of life and death, traversed mountains and ridges. Finding a sect was easy, but everywhere he went, he faced rejection, with no one to heed him.

There was a set quota for sect recomndations, so why would they grant one to a re monkey demon?

Instead of gaining a recomndation, he encountered danger several tis. So cultivators captured the Monkey King and threw him into a furnace to be refined into a Blood Pill.

The Spiritual Fire burnt his physical body to ashes; instead of his essence and blood congealing into a pill, it transford into a red rainbow and fled.

After dozens of life-and-death experiences, the Monkey King’s desire to seek immortality was not extinguished. Yet, he harbored deep hatred for the Heavenly Court, heavenly laws, and the Immortal Register. It was like an unbreakable wall, isolating those who pursued the path of immortality.

Without a proper lineage to follow, it was impossible to overco!

The Monkey King didn’t understand the concept of hierarchy, but he felt suffocated and profoundly unhappy.

"Even the pursuit of cultivation is not free?"

Another ten-plus years passed.

The Monkey King had left the mountain for more than thirty years, missing his fellow clan mbers on the mountain.

"Going back would only an watching them die with open eyes, until I am left alone, increasing my sorrow. Even if the Heavenly Court imposes countless restrictions, I will break these rules and learn the technique of everlasting life!"

With unwavering conviction, the Monkey King continued his quest for immortality.

Facing rejection a thousand tis, scorn ten thousand tis, he would still ask with a smile the next ti.

"May I ask if the immortal senior would take on apprentices?"

Spring ca and went, and winter arrived.

The cold wind whistled past, covering thousands of mountains with heavy snow.

That day.

The Monkey King ca to Qingyun Mountain. According to his years of experience in seeking immortality, the eternal clouds and mist shrouding the mountain were sure signs of an immortal’s presence.

Reaching the edge of the clouds, he circled several tis to find no mountain gate, so he drilled directly into them.

A mont after.

He erged dizzily and tried several more tis to the sa effect.

The Monkey King was not surprised by this. Previous encounters at Spiritual Mountain Blessed Lands all had formations and prohibitions. Thanks to the strictness of heavenly laws and regulations, he never encountered deadly arrays, only Illusion Arrays designed to send outsiders away.

"But if there’s not even a mountain gate, where should I wait?"

Finding it difficult to enter the immortal mountain, the Monkey King waited outside the mountain gate, striking up conversations with any cultivators he saw leaving.

Sotis, he waited for three to five months. For this reason, it took him a good fifty years before he finally reached Qingyun Mountain, located in the eastern part of Dongsheng Divine Continent.

As he hesitated.

The clouds dispersed of their own accord, revealing a small path leading to the mountain peak.

A deep voice rang out beside his ear: "Enter."

The Monkey King was startled, then delighted. He followed the path to the mountain peak, only to find no immortals or palaces, just a Yellow Bull lying under a tree.

The Monkey King hesitated briefly, then respectfully bowed: "Greetings, immortal senior."

The Yellow Bull nodded slightly and asked, "What is the origin of this monkey demon?"

Qingyun Mountain, spanning three thousand miles, was under the jurisdiction of the Heavenly Master’s Mansion, and the Yellow Bull’s Divine Sense constantly enveloped it. Any anomaly would catch its attention. When the Monkey King entered the mountain, it was deed a common little demon and thus not paid much attention to.

Unfortunately, right as the Monkey King entered the mountain, he encountered a fierce tiger demon. Unable to fight or flee, he lay down on the spot, leaving the tiger to devour him.

A mont later.

A streak of red light burrowed out from the tiger’s body and reford into the Monkey King.

The tiger, nourished by Spiritual Energy for a long ti, had so intelligence and, seeing this strange technique, was terrified and ran away.

Witnessing this scene, the Yellow Bull beca quite interested. It manipulated a few wolves to surround and bite the Monkey King, tearing him to pieces, yet he would return to form in the blink of an eye.

After about a dozen deaths, the Monkey King reached the outside of the array.

Because of his many life-and-death experiences, the Monkey King was unfazed, thinking today was just an unlucky day.

"To answer the immortal senior, I have no significant origin."

After decades of seeking immortality, the Monkey King finally reached the immortal mountain and dared not miss this chance. He explained carefully: "Originally, I was a Red Stone Egg, which, after untold years, broke open to give birth to !"

"No wonder, you were naturally nurtured by heaven and earth as an Innate being!"

The Yellow Bull’s Divine Sense repeatedly swept over the Monkey King, finding no difference between him and any ordinary physical body. If it weren’t for witnessing the undying nature of his Divine Skills, it would have just considered him a common monkey demon. It then asked in confusion.

"Born of the Innate, why do you possess no mana or cultivation?"

Innate creatures inherently inherit mories of Cultivation Techniques, like the Yellow Bull born from Kunwu’s tree, carrying a scroll of Kunwu’s Immortal Cultivation Technique. As it advanced in cultivation, it would also awaken many innate Divine Skills and thods.

"Disciple has no expertise in cultivation; descending the mountain is to seek immortality and inquire about the Dao..."

Monkey King briefly relayed his experiences after descending the mountain to Yellow Bull God and implored, "Disciple sincerely pursues the Dao, please accept as your pupil."

Yellow Bull God admired the Monkey King’s heart in seeking the Dao, but Cloud Mountain was unlike other domains, and he shook his head, "I am of a sensitive status; taking you as an apprentice would only harm you."

The Monkey King looked disappointed, such rejections he had heard too many tis, and he bowed deeply in respect.

"May I ask the Noble Immortal, are there other spirit mountains nearby? Disciple will go and ask at each one."

"Nowadays, the Cultivation World is no longer as it was in the past; both the human and demonic races revere the Heavenly Court, with strict heavenly laws and precious places in the Immortal Register. No sect or clan would accept you as an initiate."

Yellow Bull God had been cultivating in seclusion on Qingyun Mountain, but he was well aware of the changes in the Cultivation World.

Ever since the major demonic clans had submitted to the Heavenly Court, the path of cultivation for the small demons of the mountains and forests was nearly entirely severed; they either road freely on their own in the mountains or beca servants to the major clans.

For those demons fortunate enough to awaken their intelligence yet still not fully devoid of their wild nature, how could they endure such strict discipline? Inevitably, they would cause trouble when descending the mountain and, consequently, beco the achievents of local River Lords and City Gods.

Upon hearing this, Monkey King could not help but express his annoyance, "The vast expanse of Dongsheng Divine Continent, so vast and boundless, is it truly unable to accommodate my pursuit of cultivation?"

"The Cultivation World is thriving more than ever, but it has nothing to do with a small mountain demon like you!"

Yellow Bull God said, "However, I am aware of a place outside Dongsheng Divine Continent, where a supre True Immortal resides in seclusion. If you can beco his disciple, you will surely learn the techniques of Everlasting Immortality."

Monkey King was overjoyed and quickly said, "Please advise, Immortal."

Yellow Bull God communicated with his Divine Sense, imprinting the path to an island deep within the Eastern Sea into Monkey King’s soul.

Monkey King thanked him profusely, his impatience palpable as he took his leave, rushing towards the Eastern Sea without pause.

Several years later.

Returning to the coast of the Eastern Sea, the departure point was but a thousand miles from Monkey Mountain.

Monkey King hesitated and decided not to look back, to avoid seeing the rows of stone monkeys and feeling extre sorrow that would shake his resolve to seek immortality and inquire about the Dao.

He tied so deadwood around himself and leaped into the sea, swimming toward the depths.

The Eastern Sea, unlike rivers on land, had currents that shifted, now toward the south, now toward the north, tossing Monkey King about. Fortunately, the marks of the techniques within his mind served as a guide, always helping him to adjust the direction.

Swimming ten or so miles each day, the waves would sweep over him, and unexpectedly, he would find himself back at the shore.

Monkey King did not mind; he entered the Eastern Sea again, and after struggling to swim out a hundred miles or so, a storm would blow him back once more.

After several such trials, more than five years had passed, and he had only managed to swim a thousand miles.

"At this rate, it would take only fifty years to find that immortal mountain!"

Monkey King’s face showed delight as he continued swimming into the deep sea, never anticipating an encounter with a mischievous young whale.

The young whale found Monkey King amusing and carried him around, and within a few days, had brought him back to shore.

Only after growing tired of playing did the whale toss Monkey King back onto the shore with a flick of its tail.

"..."

Monkey King felt helpless, and once the young whale was out of sight, he continued swimming into the deep sea.

Encountering a storm along the way was nothing new to Monkey King, who opened his arms to et it head-on, and indeed, he was blown back to shore again.

"Even if I fail a thousand tis, ten thousand tis, I must reach the depths of the Eastern Sea and obtain the technique for Everlasting Immortality!"

Just as Monkey King was about to re-enter the sea, he suddenly heard a familiar wailing. Following the sound, he found a small whale stranded on the beach.

"It’s you, misfortune’s friend," he said. Monkey King didn’t think about the misfortune of coincidentally crossing paths again, nor did he harbor any thoughts of revenge; he simply felt empathy for their shared plight.

The young whale was too large for Monkey King to push by himself, but after careful consideration, he started digging a trench.

The sand on the beach was soft, and despite several abrasions on his palms after much digging, his immortality ant a swift recovery to their original state.

After half a day had passed and as the young whale’s breath grew faint, sea water finally poured in.

Whoo whoo whoo—

The young whale sang out joyfully and with a flick of its tail, slid into the sea along the trench.

Monkey King clapped cheerily, waved goodbye, not minding if the young whale understood or not.

"I too must set out once again!"

Monkey King tied himself to the deadwood and jumped into the sea, swimming strenuously following the clues imprinted in his mind.

After several days, covering ten or so miles, Monkey King was preparing to rest.

Suddenly.

That familiar wailing reached his ears, and he saw two large whales and one small one approaching, circling him a few tis.

The young whale picked up Monkey King with its mouth and placed him on its back, swimming toward the deep sea.
