But those inhumane bastards deserve to die.

No matter if they wear a skin that represents cleanliness and brightness, it cannot hide their indifferent and inhumane hearts. Such creatures, unworthy of being called human, can deceive many and even earn the respect and gratitude of many.

But in front of Lin Fan, they have nowhere to hide.

...

Sowhere.

Drip! Drip!

Warm blood dripped down from Sun Neng’s fingers. His palm pierced through the throat of a male survivor in front of him. The survivor emitted a low, hoarse sound, as if trying to say sothing.

But his eyes gradually dimd, losing their light.

"Ignorant fool, everyone in the apocalypse is one whole. Another’s misfortune is your misfortune. Do not ask for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for you."

"When you harbor malice against , the death knell rings in your ears."

Squish!

He pulled out his hand.

A large amount of blood spurted from the survivor’s throat.

Sun Neng swung the blood off his fingers and looked at another survivor. That survivor’s eyes were filled with terror, and he looked at Sun Neng as if he had seen a ghost.

In a panic, he pulled out a homade gun. His hands trembled as he held the weapon, his eyes radiating endless fear and anxiety.

"Don’t co any closer."

"Don’t co closer? It was you who invited here. Why do I now have to stay away? Wanting to survive in the apocalypse is normal. I can understand that. But why think of laying hands on ?"

Sun Neng was unafraid of the gun in the man’s hands.

He had left from Red Sun Martial School, ventured far, traversed many places, seen many zombies, and also encountered zombies that would terrify him.

But he avoided all these without conflict.

Encountering two survivors, from their appearances, it was clear they had beco hunters in the apocalypse, targeting living survivors as prey.

Sun Neng followed them to this desolate farm.

Once there, they revealed their true nature. The survivor whose throat he pierced had tried to smash his head with a hamr, only to et a swift counterattack.

A regular survivor would have long beco their victim.

"Ah... Die!"

The panicked survivor pulled the trigger.

The gun smoked, releasing a whiff of gunpowder.

Sun Neng vanished before him, reappearing next to him, his fingers shattering the man’s Adam’s apple. Two fingers pierced through the skin, with hot blood oozing out.

Thud!

The man’s knees buckled, he fell to the ground, head first, silently, without a sound.

"Besides Huang City, how many living in the apocalypse can still be called human, and how many living have t a fatal end at the hands of fellow beings thought to be human?"

Sun Neng talked to himself, examining the surrounding environnt. He saw what looked like human bones piled in a corner. Having been through the baptism of the apocalypse, he could now maintain a calm deanor, unaffected by anything.

What does this represent?

He knew for certain.

He walked out of the farm, glanced at a factory next door, his brows slightly furrowed, and then headed over, pushing the door open. Inside the dim space, only small shards of glass allowed a bit of light in.

The air inside was poor as well.

Evidently, it hadn’t been ventilated for a long ti.

Entering, aided by the faint light, he spotted a survivor curled up inside an iron cage up ahead. Upon closer inspection, it seed to be a teenage girl.

He entered the cage and approached the girl.

She was barely clothed, covered in scars, old ones barely healed, and fresh wounds oozing with beads of blood.

She seed to sense soone approaching.

The girl trembled violently, her entire body shivering as she curled up tightly, not daring to even glance at Sun Neng.

Sun Neng sighed, shaking his head. He understood what had happened. When people and things were absent from his life, Sun Neng often felt sentintal, having once almost succumbed to darkness himself.

In that abyssal darkness, countless hands tried to drag him in.

He struggled desperately, screaming for help, shrouded by helplessness.

Until in despair, that light forcefully pulled him out.

If he had to na it... it was He Mingxuan.

He ca before the girl, squatted in front of her, reaching out to softly touch her head. With his touch, he noticed her body trembling even more fiercely.

Her terror seed almost tangible, as if about to erupt.

"Sleep, sleep, none of this ever happened. You will forget all these disasters that occurred." Sun Neng’s palm stroked the girl’s head, as if an invisible power radiated outward, calming her terror-stricken mind and bringing her into a deep sleep.

He looked at the scars on the girl’s body. His hand seed kissed by God, as with his sweeping motion, both old and new wounds healed at a visible speed, leaving no trace whatsoever.

When he lifted the girl, he found her palm clutched a photograph. Though worn and aged, the people in the photo were discernible.

Besides the girl, there was also a middle-aged man.

It should be her father.

Recalling the leg bones resembling human remains he had just seen, he again looked at the people in the photo, shook his head, pocketed the photo, and walked out of the factory.
