"This is the Sunshine District shelter."
Ye Qian and Zhong Hanguo looked at the lively street stretching before them, where survivors with smiles on their faces were busy clearing the shops, moving piles of debris, and even so already rotting corpses could be seen.
Such a scene was hard to co by in the present apocalypse.
From the first mont they arrived,
they could feel the atmosphere of life pervading the place.
Lin Fan said, "As more and more survivors arrived, living space beca a bit cramped, so we need to expand outward. The surrounding shops have not been cleaned for a long ti, so everyone’s been busy."
Zhong Hanguo laughed, "I just love a bustling environnt. It feels happy. Don’t you think so, Little Ye?"
"Right," Ye Qian agreed.
What was she seeking in this apocalypse?
Perhaps she too had been confused before, thinking of sticking with the other two, taking one step at a ti, to see what the ultimate truth of the apocalypse was.
Now, having t Lin Fan and arrived at the Sunshine District shelter under his leadership, she saw the busy survivors around her, her heart trembled slightly—perhaps this was what she wanted to see, all the while using the power of her awakening to defend a quiet place.
"Big Bro."
Guan Hao surveyed the two survivors brought back by his big brother with curiosity, Zhong Hanguo’s physique amazed him, damn impressive, and he seed a bit simple when he laughed.
Could this really be a case of the brawny but simple-minded?
Lin Fan said, "Guan Hao, these two are survivors who’ve just arrived here, they’re also Awakeners. Oh, right, go call Gu Hang, Dong Jia, and Zhu Cheng over."
"Alright."
Guan Hao turned and ran off, surprised that the two were Awakeners. Thinking about the increasing number of Awakeners in the shelter made him feel great.
At the sa ti, he envied them.
If only he could also beco an Awakener.
Then he could beco the brightest son in his big brother’s eyes, like Gu Hang, following big brother, protecting the peace of the shelter.
Lin Fan led them around the shelter, introducing the surroundings.
"Here, we have plenty of resources. Everyone has their own assigned areas of responsibility. It’s like going to work, seemingly busy, yet full of fulfillnt."
"We have our own vegetables here, our own aquaculture, it’s quite rich. The only downside is that we can’t wander outside; we can only stay within this area."
Hearing all this from Lin Fan, they showed shock and surprise. If truly so, then the Sunshine District shelter would simply be paradise on earth.
At this mont, Zhong Hanguo and Ye Qian were also eager to et the other two Awakeners.
Gu Hang, clad in War Armor, ca from afar with Dong Jia and Zhu Cheng.
"Are these the two Awakeners you ntioned?"
Opening his visor, he curiously looked at the two Awakeners. Hadn’t they already rejected him? How co after just one trip, he managed to bring them back?
Well, anything could happen when it cos to Lin Fan.
Lin Fan smiled and said, "Yes, this is Zhong Hanguo, and she is Ye Qian. Both are very strong Awakeners. Just now..."
He recounted their recent ordeal, and Gu Hang frowned slightly.
He hadn’t expected a betrayal, abandoning teammates who trusted him at a critical mont. Such behavior was despicable, even utterly vile.
At the sa ti, he warmly welcod the arrival of the two Awakeners. With more Awakeners joining, the strength of the Sunshine District could only get stronger.
"Hello, my na is Gu Hang, a soldier," Gu Hang said.
"War Armor?"
Zhong Hanguo was very shocked. It was the first ti he had seen such a fashionable and futuristic War Armor; any man would find it hard to resist such temptation, even in his middle age.
And he was utterly curious.
Where did this War Armor co from?
Without absolute technology and equipnt, this would be impossible to create.
Gu Hang said, "Right, War Armor, made by the national team, fortified with extre crystals, can easily hunt Evolutionary Zombies."
Zhong Hanguo gaped, surprised that it could easily hunt Evolutionary Zombies. Although it was relatively simple for them to kill them, it required teamwork.
Indeed, War Armor lived up to its na, truly remarkable.
Ye Qian caught the phrase "made by the national team," and her heart skipped a beat.
If state institutions still existed, then order remained stable. With continued effort, one day things could return to their previous state.
Dong Jia said, "Hello, my na is Dong Jia, an Awakener. My ability allows to foresee events happening within two seconds, centered around myself within a range of one ter."
Zhong Hanguo and Ye Qian knew such an ability was unimaginable, and if Awakener abilities were graded, this power would definitely be rare and top-tier.
Zhu Cheng said, "My na is Zhu Cheng, also an Awakener. My ability is pretty powerful. No matter day or night, as long as it’s within my sight, the designation and crystal color of the zombies light up like flashing lights, impossible to escape my observation."
Since being assigned to patrol and after being praised by Lin Fan, Zhu Cheng felt his ability was aweso, not as useless as he had imagined.
The two sides got to know each other.
Initial understanding was a good start.
"Gu Hang, Ye Qian told of a way to enhance Awakeners," Lin Fan said.
"Really?"
