"Is this all we have?" Logan (Wolverine) asked, a cigar between his lips.
Black Widow, who ca to greet them, responded, "Aren't this many people enough?"
Logan shook his head, "Enough to fight Apocalypse, but against this bald guy... not enough!"
Magneto's gaze turned to Professor X, more specifically to Jean Gray helping to push his wheelchair.
"Jean, can you still not control the power inside you?"
Jean Gray helplessly shook her head, "No!"
Everyone couldn't help but sigh.
Despite everyone choosing to unite against the bald demon king with an unprecedented lineup, those present knew the real hope still lay with Jean Gray.
Black Widow couldn't help but ask Fury, "Sir, you must have a backup plan, right?"
She knew Fury wouldn't engage in a battle without confidence.
Fury coolly responded, "Everyone wait a bit. We have one more teammate who hasn't arrived yet."
"Who?"
Everyone beca curious.
Fury didn't elaborate, simply saying, "You'll know when they arrive."
Though curious, no one pressed further and waited patiently.
About half an hour later.
In the sky.
A figure suddenly appeared, sparkling with light.
At first, everyone thought it might be soone from Asgard.
But as it got closer, they realized it was a short-haired woman.
"Clang!"
Captain Marvel leaped down, landing steadily on the aircraft carrier like a block of iron.
Many were surprised and curious, as most present didn't know of Captain Marvel's existence.
"Carol, welco back to Earth!" Fury greeted her.
Captain Marvel nodded, "It's been a while, Fury."
"Let introduce everyone!"
Fury turned and introduced, "This is Carol Danvers, nicknad Captain Marvel. Like you, she's a guardian."
This introduction seed a bit exaggerated, especially since the Brotherhood was definitely not a group of guardians.
Fury continued, "While you guard the Earth, Carol guards the entire Milky Way!"
Everyone was shocked.
Guarding the entire Milky Way? If he wasn't exaggerating, this short-haired woman was truly impressive!
Fury then introduced the others to Captain Marvel.
While introductions for most were routine, when he introduced Professor X, Magneto, and Wolverine, Captain Marvel couldn't help but look a bit longer. She had heard of these mutants before leaving Earth.
After introductions, Captain Marvel asked, "Fury, who's the enemy?"
Fury's face hardened, "A madman with the power to destroy the world, and he's doing exactly that."
His assistant Hill imdiately handed Captain Marvel a tablet.
She played the video and watched.
Monts later, her expression turned grave.
Fury couldn't help but ask, "Carol, do you have a plan?"
"No!" Captain Marvel shook her head. "This monster is beyond anything I've ever imagined!"
Fury's face changed slightly, and others looked disappointed.
But in the next mont, Captain Marvel added, "However, I can try to throw him into space."
Fury's spirits lifted, "Then we're counting on you!"
They then gathered to discuss tactics, though everyone had their own ideas and was reluctant to follow others' plans.
Finally, they decided to attack together.
After planning, they set off towards Los Angeles...
In Los Angeles, citizens stuck in traffic were cursing.
Suddenly, they noticed a massive dark shadow flying from the horizon.
Looking up, they saw an incredible aircraft carrier hovering above Los Angeles.
