Chapter 165: Mysterious Supernatural, Electricity in the Void!

After dropping off Chen Ye, the mbers of the Ti-Space Managent Bureau imdiately left in a hurry. They were afraid that staying even a mont longer would result in them being caught up in an unknown disaster due to Chen Ye's presence.

The car hit the road.

They hadn't driven far when one of the young n couldn't hold back his question.

"Captain, this guy intends to last till the end. Why didn't we just take him out earlier?"

Hearing this, the middle-aged man responded with so annoyance, "Didn't you watch the surveillance footage yesterday? He walked away from that car accident completely unscathed. That shows just how terrifying his strength is. By the standards of these travelers, he's at least at the fourth rank!"

"Only a fourth-rank expert could cause such a major car accident on the first day."

"Given our current group, it's uncertain who would take down whom!"

The young man thought for a mont and realized the captain was right.

The Ti-Space Managent Bureau had done extensive preparation for their mission. They had watched nurous videos of these powerful travelers evading disasters, fully aware of how terrifying these strong individuals were.

They were practically inhuman!

"Captain, according to the research at the headquarters, the third day is a turning point for these travelers. After three days, the severity of disasters changes drastically. What if this guy really manages to hold out until the fourth or even the fifth day?" the young man asked.

"Survive until the fifth day?" The middle-aged man sneered. "Our bureau was established to prevent that very situation. Four days is the absolute limit. If this guy is still here on the fifth day, it ans we have failed in our duty!"

"But we can't deal with a fourth-rank expert!" the young man replied.

"Don't worry. The director said we can request military support at any ti, and if necessary, we can activate the secret weapon!"

At the ntion of the "secret weapon," the eyes of the young n in the car lit up.

"Captain, is the secret weapon that flying figure?"

"Captain, how did the secret weapon co about? Can supernatural beings appear in our world too?" They bombarded him with questions.

"I'm not exactly sure either," the middle-aged man replied. "It's said that the entity has existed for a long ti."

"I see..."

Not getting any more details from the captain left them feeling a bit disappointed.

In reality, the captain knew more than he let on.

Previously, when he ntioned soone holding out until the seventh day and encountering a teor strike, it wasn't actually a teor.

It was the secret weapon that descended from the sky to hunt down that traveler.

That traveler was formidable, managing to hold out for quite a while even when pursued by the secret weapon.

In the end, nearly an entire city was destroyed.

Since the truth couldn't be easily explained to the public, the authorities fabricated a grand lie, claiming that a teor had obliterated the city.

As for the origin of the secret weapon, the most reliable explanation was that it was a supernatural entity manifested by the will of this world.

The secret weapon had only been deployed twice since its inception.

Even though the middle-aged man, as the captain, knew about this, he couldn't share the information with his team mbers.

The secret weapon's details were classified as top-level confidential!

He had learned this information by chance.

These team mbers lacked the required clearance to know more; the fact that they were aware of its existence was already quite remarkable.

In fact, even the middle-aged captain didn't know that the secret weapon was rarely used. The high-ranking officials understood that every ti it was deployed, it caused massive disasters that were more detrintal than beneficial...

...

After the Ti-Space Managent Bureau personnel left, Chen Ye started inspecting his temporary accommodation.

The room was indeed very basic, containing only a shower area and a bed, without even a table or chair.

The sole electrical appliance was a rice cooker placed in the corner.

He opened the door, and not far from the entrance, in the grass, there was a surveillance cara pointed directly at him.

Then, Chen Ye stayed inside and opened a box.

The box, which had been brought along by the bureau, contained food: rice, pre-cooked dishes, so instant products, snacks, and bottled water.

When Chen Ye picked up a bag of snacks and glanced at the long list of ingredients, he couldn't help but exclaim, "Wow! This is all cutting-edge science in action!"

It turned out that the food industry in this world was just as strong as Earth's!

Ordinary people who frequently consud such chemicals were bound to get cancer at a young age.

Chen Ye's strong physique ant he wasn't too concerned.

However, he didn't dare to eat it.

He feared that these foods might be poisoned!

Although his eyesight was sharp enough to distinguish between toxins and regular food, chemicals themselves were already toxic. If soone did lace a potent poison within these chemicals, it would be hard for him to identify.

Technically, the Ti-Space Managent Bureau was the enemy of travelers like him.

They might very well resort to underhanded tactics.

Chen Ye didn't want to et an untily end in an unexpected way, so he decided to be extra cautious.

Oh, he did have fire-based superpowers that could make him immune to many toxins, making him nearly impervious to poisons.

However, his immunity mainly applied to bacterial and viral toxins, as high temperatures could kill these microorganisms.

For chemical toxins, his immunity probably wouldn't work.

One must always be vigilant.

So, Chen Ye decided to buy food himself.

First, he intentionally opened a bag of food and casually threw the outer packaging into the grass at the door, perfectly covering the surveillance cara...

It looked like a coincidence.

But it was actually done on purpose.

Then, using a lightness technique and changing his appearance, Chen Ye left the area, heading toward the city.

...

Inside the off-road vehicle, a young man was currently watching the surveillance footage.

When Chen Ye threw the box outside, perfectly covering the cara, the screen instantly went black.

"Damn!" the young man cursed.

"What happened?" his companion next to him asked.

"The kid finished eating and carelessly threw out the trash, which happened to cover the cara. Now we can't see him anymore... I suspect he did it on purpose!" the young man replied.

The middle-aged man sitting in the front passenger seat, who had been resting with his eyes closed, opened them upon hearing this. "It was definitely intentional. People like them have reflexes and sensory perception far beyond normal humans. Noticing surveillance is a simple matter for them."

Hearing this, the young man quickly asked, "Captain, what should we do now? He might be trying to escape since he covered the cara."

"Let's observe for now!" the middle-aged man instructed. "It doesn't matter if they run, as long as they don't enter the city. All city entrances and exits are monitored by the SkyNet system, and the faces of these people have been recorded. If they show up in the city, SkyNet will imdiately identify them."

"But what if he sneaks back into the city?" the young man pressed.

"Then we'll execute the contingency plan!" the captain replied.

...

After leaving the house, Chen Ye didn't follow the main road.

He knew that the main roads were likely under surveillance.

Instead, he traversed the wilderness, heading in the direction of the city by climbing mountains and crossing valleys.

With his current agility and skills, no matter how rough the terrain, it was as easy as walking on flat ground for him.

In less than half an hour, he returned to the city.

Of course, Chen Ye didn't intend to bring disaster upon the city's residents. After shopping in a large supermarket, he returned to his previous accommodation.

Soon, another day passed.

Chen Ye was surprised to find that throughout the entire day, he had not encountered any disasters.

Was it that the mysterious force had forgotten about him?

Or was staying here making the mysterious force powerless?

Chen Ye leaned more towards the first possibility.

This mysterious force was far more formidable than the Grim Reaper in movies.

The Grim Reaper in films could only manipulate common objects to create accidents in order to pursue survivors.

In contrast, this mysterious force could directly wield supernatural powers.

"So, my initial action to welco disaster really had an effect? Did I manage to escape the screening of this mysterious force?"

"Was that car accident earlier targeting Zichen as well?"

...

anwhile, in the real world.

Inside Tang Zichen's dormitory.

After returning, she hadn't reported her arrival to the school and had been living quietly by herself.

Throughout the day, she only ate so of the food from her fridge.

In the evening, she didn't turn on the lights.

She moved lightly while washing up and went to bed early.

The reason she did this was that Tang Zichen didn't want to cause any trouble for Chen Ye.

Since Chen Ye wanted to hide his strength, she would fully support him!

...

In the capital city.

At the headquarters of the Supernatural Ability Association.

Chen, the acting president, was sitting in his office when he suddenly received a text ssage.

His expression changed instantly as he picked up his phone, stood up, left the office, and drove to a dojo.

The guards at the dojo's entrance, upon seeing President Chen, made no attempt to stop him and allowed him to pass.

Chen parked his car at the entrance, quickly got out, and walked into the dojo.

Pushing the door open, he saw Ba Liming sitting beside a tea set, drinking tea.

Upon seeing President Chen enter, Ba Liming simply glanced up.

And that single glance...

Chen felt as if a flash of lightning had appeared, illuminating the entire dojo.

He was both shocked and elated.

He was no stranger to such phenona.

He imdiately understood that his senior brother's gaze had achieved the legendary "summoning electricity in the void"!

"Senior brother! You've succeeded?" Chen eagerly asked.

At the sa ti, he carefully observed Ba Liming and found that his senior brother, sitting there, looked just like an ordinary person.

Returning to simplicity!

This phrase popped into President Chen's mind.

Previously, his senior brother could already control his aura skillfully. When he restrained it, he was indistinguishable from an ordinary person.

But there were always traces of deliberate effort.

Now, however, Ba Liming appeared completely natural, almost blending in with his surroundings. If President Chen didn't stare at him directly, just relying on his senses, it would seem as if the person in front of him didn't exist!

"Yes, I have succeeded," Ba Liming replied, his tone filled with emotion.

"That's wonderful!" President Chen was visibly excited. "Senior brother, congratulations on finally reaching the realm you've long dread of!"

Ba Liming smiled upon hearing this. "To be honest, my smooth progress is thanks to that boy, Chen Ye... Junior brother, you have an exceptional son!"
