After two Land Ships that received the distress signal arrived, Chen Xin finally had a battalion’s worth of reliable forces at his disposal, granting him enough power to control the situation in Nuremberg.

The company that arrived with Chen Xin initially was first dispatched to the ground, where, after collecting weapons from the surrendered garrison and supervising them, they began organizing the civilians of Nuremberg to continue transporting supplies to the front line.

This task was originally carried out by the garrison, but since they have been detained, the responsibility naturally fell to Chen Xin and his n.

The two other companies that arrived later were assigned different tasks by Chen Xin.

One company was in charge of maintaining security in Nuremberg. Although it was sowhat insufficient to maintain order in a city with hundreds of thousands of people, they selected a portion of personnel from the detained garrison.

With the assistance of these disard garrison mbers, they managed to control the security and situation in both Nuremberg and neighboring Felt.

The other company, upon entering Nuremberg, summoned a group of citizens. With their assistance, they began distributing supplies within the city to relieve those who seed cold and hungry.

Seeing most of the work finally unfolding in an orderly manner, Chen Xin felt relieved, and after the arrival of the last two companies, he joined them on the ground.

Walking the streets of Nuremberg, watching those hopeful faces of civilians flock to the supply distribution points, Chen Xin couldn’t help but shake his head and say to the political officer beside him in exasperation: "What a ss! Germany is at least a sovereign country, considered a major power in Europe, and yet they can’t even control their own military?

If they couldn’t control the military, fine, you could say it’s weak or incapable, but for the army to surrender just because of two Land Ships, with such poor fighting spirit, I truly doubt whether they’d beco deserters on the battlefield. Can the frontlines really hold?"

It’s no wonder Chen Xin felt so agitated; earlier he wasn’t clear about the equipnt of this Nuremberg garrison and thought it was just an ordinary infantry brigade that lacked anti-air weapons, forcing them to surrender before the Land Ships.

But after getting on the ground and hearing from the company responsible for weapon collection that this brigade’s equipnt not only included anti-aircraft guns but even anti-air missiles, Chen Xin was indeed astonished.

Land Ships are strong, but they’re not invincible; they would still suffer so damage when facing anti-aircraft fire.

Especially anti-aircraft missiles, although designed to attack aircraft and intercept incoming missiles, that doesn’t an they’re useless against Land Ships.

Quite the opposite, if hit by anti-aircraft missiles, even Land Ships would suffer heavy damage.

So in the previous situation, as long as this garrison fired missiles at the Land Ships, there was actually a chance to bring them down.

Yet they surrendered without a fight, sothing that truly baffled Chen Xin.

"Perhaps they just don’t want to fight? The overall quality of European armies has indeed declined in recent years, and poor fighting spirit has beco inevitable," the political officer beside Chen Xin didn’t react as strongly, but instead persuaded Chen Xin: "Right now, deciding the next steps is more important; Academician Chen, you’ve co to inspect the logistics and supply situation. We can take temporary control of the city, but we can’t keep the troops here indefinitely."

Listening to the political officer say so, Chen Xin nodded seriously; he was certainly aware of these matters.

Nonetheless, he had set plans for this in advance, so he quickly shifted the topic: "We’ve already reported on the situation here. Once the German officials arrive, we’ll hand over the city.

Honestly, I now have no confidence in these Europeans; I wonder how they can hold the lines! I’m even considering suggesting our country to send people to occupy Europe entirely, so that we can better organize Europe’s forces to resist the alien threat."

Chen Xin’s sentint was not just grumbling and complaints; since he began inspecting the various conditions of Europe and the functioning of the rear supply cities of the front lines, these thoughts and ideas have persisted.

The situation across Europe is not ideal; although the active involvent of the Joint Security Forces has sowhat improved the security status, the scarcity of supplies caused by harsh environnts, coupled with requisitioning to maintain consumption at the front lines against aliens, has left Europe in a state of desolation, with famine and countless starving bodies.

While this is due to most resources being allocated by European countries to combat the alien invasion at the front lines, the sight of emaciated civilians leaves Chen Xin deeply dissatisfied with Europe.

Previously, as he hadn’t penetrated the cities of each country, he wasn’t fully aware of the situation; he thought Europe was only unable to maintain dostic order and lacked workforce for productive labor due to deploying many troops against the alien threat, causing a series of livelihood issues.

He even pondered if he should offer civil technology to Europe to help improve their productive and living conditions, thus making life better for its citizens, and giving them more strength to combat the alien invasion.

Yet in reality, it’s entirely different.

The poverty Chen Xin witnessed is indeed real, but the root cause isn’t because many soldiers are deployed to fight aliens, leading to dire living conditions in various countries.

The fundantal cause of this situation remains the disdain shown by the officials of various countries towards ordinary citizens, without any regard for their life and death.

To European countries, what truly matters is still what concerns their core interests; the focus is still on those so-called elite classes, while ordinary citizens’ survival is of no concern.

Under this premise, European governnts are rely passively maintaining civilians’ survival, only squeezing them less viciously compared to ard factions.

Or, to put it differently, European governnts don’t see ordinary citizens as disposable assets; they give them so chances to survive only to better exploit them.
