With the landing of the Guardian, five colossal figures were lowered from the helicopter platform at the stern of the warship using cranes.
Although these Titans are equipped with airborne capabilities, to avoid detection by the ard militants in the city, they plan to proceed as quietly as possible.
"Longbow in position, infrared imaging activated, visibility clear, target confird, data uploaded to command link!" As a white Titan assus a kneeling firing posture, it begins to monitor the small town ahead to provide guidance for the squad's assault, and the entire Titan squad quickly moves into combat positions.
A heavy Titan unlocked the leg stabilizers, while so structures retracted and folded, securing itself in a firing position, then deployed the electromagnetic cannon rail on its shoulder and connected it to the ammunition chanism on its back: "Heavy cannon in position, siege mode activated."
"Siege mode? Is siege mode necessary for such a small town?" At this mont, a slightly casual voice expressing dissatisfaction spoke in the Titan squad's command channel: "Spade has reached the attack position, visual confirmation, the enemy only has assault rifles and other light weapons, a quick raid can break through their defenses."
"Better safe than sorry, what if they have a monunt that still moves after thirty years? Plus, we're just a diversion, attracting attention while the special forces infiltrate and rescue the hostages; making a bigger commotion will lure the enemies towards us." Another voice interjects in the command channel: "Falcon in position, ready for aerial attack."
Each Titan in the squad has distinctly different combat capabilities, combined they form an all-around combat team, integrating battlefield reconnaissance, airstrike, fire support, and battlefield penetration, equating to the capabilities of past composite regints with airborne support.
The military doesn't position this Titan squad as ordinary line-filling combat units but as a razor-sharp spear capable of executing diverse combat missions, prevailing in battles and ensuring victory at the most critical monts.
They are an experintal attempt by the military on future warfare, especially after Chen Xin provided extensive new armants, experinting with how to best utilize Titan units.
It's safe to say this squad is the military's cherished asset; the army treats them like treasures, employing them only for live exercises against extraterrestrial creatures to hone collaboration and combat skills, avoiding frequent use.
If it weren't for protecting Chen Xin, the military wouldn't have deployed such a highly elite experintal force to Europe.
However, now that this squad is in Europe, and there's an opportunity to execute a combat mission, the military won't miss this chance, hoping to test the squad's efficiency in urban assault and anti-terror operations.
So far, the squad's missions have been hamring extraterrestrial creatures, stationed at fortress-like frontlines, providing static outputs, making it difficult to assess their real combat strength.
Yet, with their combat prowess, attacking such an insignificantly strategic small town seems a misappropriation of resources.
Especially with support from a Guardian Land Ship, if not for hostage rescue considerations, the heavy cannon's siege mode and coupled Falcon's aerial assault could flatten the town, leaving the other three Titans to rely verify the destruction.
"Alright, enough chatter, this is our first mission besides fighting extraterrestrial creatures, be serious!" The fifth Titan finally speaks, also the squad's leader, specialized for electronic warfare and command operations, currently acting as the communication hub and electronic suppressor supporting the already infiltrated special forces.
"Understood, Captain." Even the most flamboyant Spade falls silent.
"Rember, our task is diversion, to attract the enemy's attention, don't go all out and shatter them." The captain appreciates the quiet in the communication channel, despite electronic suppression, silence in the channel is preferred as per protocol.
"So, we have to restrain our attack? But given our firepower, even restrained, these militants with light weapons will collapse, won't they?" Spade questions mildly dissatisfied.
This wasn't unwarranted; the town ahead is rely an ordinary small settlent.
Due to snow and militant occupation, so barricades were built, but such defenses using rubble, sandbags, and snow are perhaps effective against police or light infantry, but against the Titan squad's heavy firepower, they crumble like wafer cookie toy houses.
Even if the heavy cannon doesn't exploit its 75mm high-explosive electromagnetic grenade launcher, Spade's 12.7mm high-caliber rotary machine gun alone can sweep away these fragile defenses.
"Otherwise, why assign this task to us? Letting the marines from the Land Ship handle simple tasks would suffice, no?" The captain's tone grows stern, considering the apparent lack of challenge in the mission, warning against prematurely breaking the opposing side: "After all, Chen Xin is watching from above! If anyone performs poorly and sses up, then never mind piloting Titans, return the chs to Chen Xin and go back to driving armored vehicles!"
Upon hearing this, the most expressive Spade becos the most diligently prepared.
His desire to showcase is equaled by an intense pride; he relishes his identity as a special Titan Driver, his greatest honor.
If failure results in dismissal, returning to drive tanks and armored vehicles, the sha would be unbearable.
Everyone shares this sentint, unwilling to be sent back to their original units, the utmost disgrace for a soldier.
Therefore, after the captain's warning, all prepare intensely with 120% dedication for combat readiness.
"Heavy cannon, three artillery rounds, eliminate marked barricades! Spade, secure the street! Longbow, fire zones are yours! Falcon, block enemy reinforcents!" The captain distributes orders, and upon receiving the special forces signal, bellows: "Attack!"
