The creation of the new type of robot wasn’t much trouble. Chen Xin rely modified the chassis of the spider-type Titan he initially made, scaled it down proportionally, and made so detailed adjustnts, thus creating the chassis for the new type of robot.
The design of the small robot was straightforward. When Chen Xin originally built the spider-type Titan, it was intended for mining, so he designed a mining compartnt in the spider’s abdon. After so modifications, it beca a ready-made ammunition compartnt.
All it needed was a structural improvent, creating a slot to securely fasten the ammunition box on top, ensuring that no matter how the small robot climbed or tumbled, there was no risk of ammunition falling out.
As for its power source, it was even simpler. Two high-performance batteries were enough to allow this little guy to carry a box of ammunition and operate continuously for eighteen hours in the highly variable battlefield environnt at a speed of 60 km/h.
This small robot, about the size of a dog, was small in size and agile in movent, making it the best transporter on the battlefield.
They could deliver ammunition promptly to the hands of frontline soldiers and were hardly detectable and susceptible to attacks. Even on World War II battlefields, they could adequately perform the task of delivering ammunition or other supplies to the front lines.
The intelligent program for the small robots was handed over to the research team that had been studying artificial intelligence. They used the AI program copied from Chen Xin to write a new program and installed it on the small robots.
This program enabled it to recognize battlefield information and terrain features and have a certain level of logical judgnt, allowing it to autonomously assess situations and make better judgnts in mission execution.
However, since the tasks that the small robots needed to perform were not complex, this program wasn’t considered an AI program. It was more akin to the earlier drone or car autonomous driving programs. Although more advanced and smarter, it still couldn’t be classified as artificial intelligence.
As for the dium-sized robot, since there was a fire support model, a true AI program was written into it, endowing it with a certain level of logical thinking ability to independently assess the battlefield situation and provide fire support to the combat soldiers using the mounted quad 25mm cannons.
The sche for the large spider-type Titan was dismissed by the military, not because there was anything wrong with this Titan, but because the military felt its functions overlapped with the existing two types of Titans and didn’t offer a significant performance upgrade, so they decided not to increase investnt in it.
Chen Xin had no objections to this. Spider-type Titans indeed didn’t compare to the utility of general-purpose Titans, and the costs were higher, also losing out to the public service-type Titans.
Moreover, due to its unique structure and massive size, it only had limited utility in underground passages and wasn’t suitable for conventional combat with such a large design.
However, recently the country was considering providing more support to Europe, which gave Chen Xin so inspiration. He planned to modify the design of the spider-type Titan and then hand it over to the Europeans.
After all, with Europe’s mountainous terrain, the spider-type Titan should perform quite well in mountain warfare.
Chen Xin believed that the Europeans would appreciate such a good thing, whereas for Fla Country itself, using the cheaper public service-type would suffice.
As for the fact that the cost of one spider-type Titan was equivalent to two and a half public service-types, and that it took two spider-types to defeat three public service-types in combat, there was no need to inform the Europeans.
The top-level and military also had no objections, as using a not-so-practical design verified dostically could be traded with the Europeans for more benefits, which was favorable for the country.
Moreover, giving Europe the spider-type Titans didn’t an transferring all relevant technology. The core components would still be controlled by Fla Country; they would only provide the design plans and so external chanical structures and components.
Once the plan was settled, production naturally proceeded swiftly.
With the 3D printing equipnt provided by Chen Xin, the production of this kind of technical verification or experintal model beca very convenient, shifting from needing special customization to rapid production with just the plans, greatly facilitating production and research in related fields.
However, regarding the dium and small spider robots that were produced, the military didn’t plan to equip them directly to the troops but intended to conduct so combat testing first.
A portion of the produced prototypes were sent to the frontline troops for combat testing, and the military also planned to send so spider robots to the European Battlefield to test whether these robots could et battlefield requirents under higher intensity combat conditions.
This idea from the military imdiately sparked Chen Xin’s interest, and he even planned to make a personal trip to Europe to understand the situation of the spider-type robots and other equipnt provided to Europe on the European battlefield.
The military and top-level naturally didn’t dare let Chen Xin risk going to Europe as it wasn’t like when he went to Lucia; Europe was a war zone. If anything happened to Chen Xin, it would be a huge loss for the country.
However, Chen Xin argued that the place he was in dostically wasn’t far from a war zone and that he would only stay at the fleet’s base to adjust the equipnt aiding Europe.
To persuade the top-level to let him go to Europe, Chen Xin also promised that his visit could effectively improve the production and living conditions at the fleet’s base, enhancing the efficiency and speed of producing equipnt to aid the European battlefield.
Additionally, Chen Xin stated that he needed more information on extraterrestrial life to study new equipnt against these aliens, allowing humanity to eliminate them more effectively.
After all, even if the eradication of aliens was completed dostically, the extraterrestrial life on the European battlefield still needed to be dealt with and faced. It wasn’t feasible to leave it to the Europeans to handle alone.
After serious consideration, the top-level ultimately agreed to Chen Xin’s application to go to Europe, but with conditions: they would assign people to accompany Chen Xin to ensure his safety and limit his activities to the fleet’s base in Europe.
Besides, Chen Xin wouldn’t be traveling to Europe on a cargo Land Ship but on a Guardian Land Ship allocated by the military.
Moreover, the military recalled the entire Titan team equipped with special machinery to serve as Chen Xin’s personal guard, protecting his safety.
This treatnt left Chen Xin sowhat flattered, but it further solidified his resolve to test various new equipnt on the European battlefield.
