"Professor Chen! This operation is simply too reckless! As a scientist, how could you personally pilot the Titan and charge to the forefront!" A leader-like person exclaid at Chen Xin with dissatisfaction.
It's not that this leader specifically had a problem with Chen Xin, but as he said, Chen Xin, being a scientist, shouldn't be charging ahead like a warrior.
Originally, the higher-ups had agreed for Chen Xin to deploy three specialized Titans to capture live specins of alien life forms. The plan was for armored units to cooperate with the Titan team to raid the area of alien activity. Upon discovering the aliens, they would contain most of them, allowing only a small number past their defenses, which Chen Xin's team would handle and complete the capture.
Then, under the cover of the air force, everyone was to retreat from the battlefield, perfectly resolving everything.
However, as good as the plan was, no one anticipated the raid turning into an unexpected encounter where the aliens launched an unimaginably large force against Chen Xin's team.
The outer armored units couldn't withstand the aliens' assault and had to call for the Titan team for support.
According to the original plan, such a critical scientist like Chen Xin was not supposed to rush into danger. At this point, it was clear the initiative was lost, and they should abandon the mission to retreat and avoid putting Chen Xin in peril.
But no one expected that as a scientist, Chen Xin would be so reckless, overloading his Titan and charging straight ahead.
Though the outco was ultimately positive, with them successfully capturing a live specin of the alien life form and retreating under air force protection, except for so losses in the armored unit, the only major repair needed was for the White Dragon.
Nonetheless, Chen Xin's actions undoubtedly drew dissatisfaction from the higher-ups, causing so to regret letting him onto the battlefield.
And the leader before him now was undoubtedly sent to warn or lecture Chen Xin.
Faced with the leader's admonishnts, Chen Xin could only listen attentively, displaying a helpless expression.
After all, he could understand both the criticism and praise. The higher-ups had sent soone to lecture him mainly because his actions had indeed been sowhat risky.
Though the White Dragon's combat power was astonishing, fully capable of a Zhao Zilong-like performance in Changban Slope when activating overclock mode, making seven lethal forays into the alien ranks, it was still too dangerous.
Ultimately, Chen Xin's identity is that of an important scientist, not so ace pilot.
He should be in the lab conducting research quietly, not charging ahead like a soldier.
Generals are responsible for commanding battles, soldiers for charging into the fray, and scientists should never do what soldiers do, as it is a significant waste of their inherent value.
However, given the circumstances at the ti, what Chen Xin did, despite being risky, was arguably the thod with the highest chance of mission success.
Before setting off, he had specifically upgraded the White Dragon, enhancing the performance of his machine, ensuring safety even when facing a massive number of aliens, and effectively eliminating them.
This was his assurance in taking such risks.
Thus, throughout this operation, Chen Xin hadn't felt unsafe. Unfortunately, the aliens unexpectedly launched a massive attack against them, almost causing Chen Xin to fail.
This left him with no good excuses to counter the leader's lecture, only to listen earnestly, adopting an open-minded acceptance.
Fortunately, despite the danger, Chen Xin's venture yielded rewarding results.
The capture of three combat subunits as live specins was accomplished.
Though when initially encountering the aliens, Chen Xin had decisively wiped out all surviving individuals and deactivated precious embryo samples during the alien nest clearance, now the situation had changed.
To uncover the weak points of the aliens, biologists needed live specins.
This was also one of the reasons Chen Xin wanted to take this risk, as it was his initial order to annihilate all live specins to prevent any irreparable consequences from biological experints.
However, now, such irreparable consequences were erging without the need for biological experints as a precondition.
This ant that humans, wanting to study aliens, only had dead bodies to work with and no live specins for research.
The three combat subunits Chen Xin captured were the first and only live specins available to biologists.
At this mont, a multitude of biologists surrounded the container holding these three combat subunits, filled with a desire for research and discovery.
"Alright, everyone!" After the leader's lecture, Chen Xin clapped his hands, drawing the biologists' attention to him before speaking. "Everyone, these three biological samples were not easy to obtain. Please use them sparingly and expedite the study and analysis of these aliens' biological traits and uncover their weaknesses."
"Rest assured, Professor Chen! We will not waste your painstaking efforts!" a biologist replied to Chen Xin with a good-natured smile.
Having witnessed the leader's lecture to Chen Xin, he understood the significant sacrifices made by the country for these three live specins.
The price paid was not just the country's investnt but also the weighty responsibility.
Whether humanity could defeat the aliens depended largely on the research conducted on these three live specins by the biologists.
"I trust you will not let the nation and people down, so please comnce the research promptly. If there's anything you need my help with, feel free to ask, even if it ans capturing a few more live specins for you," Chen Xin half-jokingly and half-seriously promised the biologists.
"We won't need more live specins for now. If capturing them ans having you, Professor Chen, personally go into battle each ti, then we can't bring ourselves to ask for more." The biologist quickly waved his hands; Chen Xin's one deploynt had already caused such a stir, another round would be too much for anyone to handle.
Though the capture of live specins this ti stirred a great deal, these samples were safely obtained, stored in a special container provided by Chen Xin, allowing the combat subunits to remain quietly inside, unlike previously captured subunits, which committed suicide directly.
This imdiately sparked the biologists' desire for research, looking at the container, they asked Chen Xin, "Professor Chen, does this container restrict the aliens' interaction with the outside world? Does it suppress their inclination to commit suicide?"
