The group took the train from Do City back to the city center.
The place they arrived was still the high-speed train station, which after being repaired, is now taken over by the military as a channel for receiving supplies and for external communication.
The original train station in the city, although larger and more convenient, is very close to the front line of the military's defense, less than two kiloters away.
Once the aliens launch an attack, it's very easy for the train station to be affected.
The high-speed train station is relatively much safer. To reach it from the lake district on the other side of the city, one must pass through the entire city, which is not an easy task given the military's layered defenses now.
However, compared to the city train station with eight or nine platforms and dozens of tracks, the high-speed train station with only three platforms and four tracks appears much smaller, and thus, its throughput capacity is significantly lower.
Due to this reason, the military has not given up on using the city train station but has strengthened the defenses and even deployed an Armored Train to assist with defense.
However, this does not have much to do with Chen Xin and the others.
After disembarking at the high-speed train station, the group, with their equipnt, was welcod by military personnel and left the station, arriving at the Research Center, currently serving as a command post and logistics base.
Chen Xin was sowhat surprised by this setup but found it to be reasonable.
The location of the Research Center is excellent, with all provisions well-fulfilled. There is even a military camp left by previously stationed special forces and nearby is the only Titan Training Base in the country. The Research Center itself has the capacity to repair and produce Titans and other military equipnt, so being used as a command post and logistics base is perfectly justifiable.
Chen Xin's surprise was rely from seeing the place he was previously at transford like this, montarily taken aback.
Since Chen Xin had contacted them in advance, the military was already prepared for their material gathering mission, not only arranging vehicles but also assigning an entire company of soldiers to ensure their safety.
"The city is relatively safe at the mont, the area you're heading to has been specially cleared by us beforehand, with no signs of alien infiltration so far, so it is considered a relatively safe area," the officer the military sent to liaise on this matter unfolded a map in front of Chen Xin and the others, indicating the safe areas designated by the military, "However, although it's a relatively safe area, there's still so risk, so please be cautious while collecting supplies."
"Don't worry, everyone is already ntally prepared for this, and we emphasized discipline before coming, so there won't be any reckless actions," Chen Xin assured the officer.
Both sides discussed the details of the operation a bit more, then everyone got into the vehicles and headed towards the city.
Chen Xin, together with Qin Lan and Mo Qingyan, drove a Titan to secure the convoy's safety.
Even though Chen Xin guarding the convoy's safety seed a bit odd, as the pilot of the White Dragon, it felt quite natural.
"Ah Xin, do you think everything in our house is still there?" Mo Qingyan suddenly asked Chen Xin over the communication channel.
Hearing Mo Qingyan's question, Chen Xin paused for a mont before replying, "They should still be there. Since the Research Center has been turned into the command post by the military, our shelter should still be intact. If no one has touched what's inside, it should all be fine."
"Shall we go back and grab so things later? We left in such a hurry before, leaving many things behind, and speaking of supplies, our shelter has quite a bit, doesn't it?" Mo Qingyan suggested proactively.
"Hmm, that's not an issue, so let's check it out when we go back and see what we can take," Chen Xin agreed after so thought.
During the previous evacuation, there really wasn't ti to pack, leaving a lot of supplies and other items behind. Since there's an opportunity to take them now, it should not be wasted.
Having settled that, Chen Xin and the group reached the target area, the original site of the city hospital, with the convoy.
The choice of this location for gathering supplies was largely due to the need to take away a large amount of heavy dical equipnt and leftover dical supplies that could not be moved in ti from the hospital.
These items are extrely important to the hundreds of thousands of relocated civilians, even more so than other materials.
"Team One, search the hospital; Team Two, transport supplies from the warehouse; Team Three, work with the military personnel to provide defense. Everyone move quickly and try to gather as many supplies as possible while ensuring safety. Report any anomalies to imdiately," Chen Xin instructed the personnel he brought as they arrived at the hospital.
Everyone understood the importance of the task, so after responding affirmatively, the teams started their respective operations according to the assignnts.
Team One, responsible for searching the hospital, consisted of police officers. Although they weren't special forces like Team Three, they were more alert and capable compared to the ordinary municipal staff of Team Two, so they were tasked with the hospital search.
While the most crucial items were the drugs and dical supplies stored in the warehouse, the dical materials scattered throughout the departnts were also significant, not to ntion that the dical equipnt was urgently needed in Do City.
Many pieces of equipnt were left from before the disaster, and so imported dical instrunts are now impossible to purchase, so these must be retrieved at all costs.
However, transporting these dical devices wasn't easy. Smaller instrunts were quickly moved to the vehicles, but larger equipnt was really hard to transport.
After all, so equipnt was not only large and heavy but also very delicate and could not withstand bumps or scratches, even requiring extre caution during disassembly, making the transporters quite constrained.
Even though Chen Xin had anticipated this beforehand, specifically requesting several professionals familiar with the disassembly and maintenance of various dical equipnt from the hospital, the transport speed remained slow.
Fortunately, for safety reasons, the military had imdiately sealed the underground highway upon entering the city, eliminating the possibility of alien infiltration via the underground route. The surrounding environnt was relatively safe for now, and ti was still available to move slowly.
