"What do you want!" Zeng Liu looked at the few people blocking her way, her expression growing more anxious.
"What do we want?" The leader of the wanderers displayed a malicious grin. "Heh, we don’t want anything, just hoping you won’t waste precious dicine on soone who can’t be saved."
"What are you saying! Sister Ning is just running a fever, she’ll be fine after taking dicine!" Zeng Liu felt a surge of anger.
She could clearly see that their goal was to stop her from saving Sister Ning, to weaken her group’s strength, so these wanderers could devour her group, snatch their supplies, and perhaps even kill or enslave them.
Zeng Liu’s companion also felt furious, imdiately drawing a gun, their greatest deterrent, previously very effective on these wanderers.
But this ti, it seed ineffective.
"Haha, you drew a gun, well, go on, shoot!" The leader of the wanderers seed to not care at all about Zeng Liu’s companion’s gun.
However, if Zeng Liu and her companion could stay calm, they’d notice the leader of the wanderers had traces of sweat on his forehead.
The other side was also nervous, but was intentionally provoking Zeng Liu and her companion with challenging words and an infuriating attitude, betting on Zeng Liu’s companion not daring to shoot since he was just an auxiliary police officer.
Of course, the leader of the wanderers knew that an angry person might do sothing irrational, so although he provoked them, he didn’t press too hard.
Seeing her companion draw the gun, Zeng Liu hurriedly pressed his arm down, lowering the gun, and said, "Old Tang! Stay calm! Don’t be impulsive!"
After calming her companion, Zeng Liu looked angrily at the wanderer leader again, noticing the satisfaction on his face, she gritted her teeth. She understood what they wanted, but she had no ti to waste.
The pressure from Chen Xin outside was too strong for her to gamble on his patience.
If Chen Xin thought Zeng Liu was stalling, or grew impatient and let the drones enter to start a massacre, these losers wouldn’t stand a chance against those two drones.
"Listen! I don’t have ti to argue! Move aside, we’re running out of ti!" Zeng Liu tried to push past the wanderers, but they shoved her back, nearly making her fall.
Old Tang quickly supported Zeng Liu, glaring at the wanderers even more furiously.
"Haha, running out of ti, I just want to stall, let that sick woman die, then you won’t waste your precious dicine on her, hahaha!" The wanderer leader laughed loudly, followed by eerie laughter from the others, making Zeng Liu both angry and anxious.
What she ant by running out of ti wasn’t about Sister Ning, but about Chen Xin outside, waiting for her to treat his fracture.
Yet, just as Zeng Liu held back Old Tang from confronting the wanderers and planned to leave them behind, she suddenly heard the sound of a drone’s propeller.
"What’s that sound?" The wanderers apparently heard it too but didn’t recognize it as a drone.
Zeng Liu’s face changed, she hurriedly got up, took out the dicine she managed to bring back, and handed it to Old Tang, saying, "Old Tang, take the dicine inside quickly, I’ll delay them a bit!"
She was about to go outside to plead with Chen Xin to wait a bit longer.
But when Zeng Liu turned to the door, four drones had already flown in, with the guns on two combat drones aid at the group.
"Miss Zeng Liu, my ti is precious, please don’t waste it." Chen Xin’s voice ca from the drone, an indifferent tone paired with the drone’s fan sound made it exceptionally tense.
Zeng Liu quickly explained to the drone, "I’m not wasting ti, just got delayed, please wait a little longer, I’ll handle things here imdiately!"
Then she turned to Old Tang and said, "Old Tang, hurry and give Sister Ning her dicine, then guard her, call Little Leaf over, I need his help!"
The appearance of four drones evidently intimidated the wanderers who intended to trouble Zeng Liu, especially the gun barrels on the two combat drones made them too frightened to act rashly.
After all, these four drones didn’t seem like sothing ant to appear here.
Old Tang was clearly bewildered by the situation but didn’t hesitate. Holding the dicine Zeng Liu gave him, he headed to their quarters, not forgetting to hand the gun to Zeng Liu, for self-defense and continued deterrence of the wanderers.
The leader of the wanderers clearly saw this, eyes darting as he got an idea.
"Zeng Liu, what’s going on? Where did these drones co from?" The leader of the wanderers raised his hands, approaching Zeng Liu, eyes on the drones, asking her in a low voice.
"I encountered them at the hospital, a person with a fracture asked for my help, he’s controlling these drones, don’t act recklessly, these drones really shoot." Although Zeng Liu held a gun, she didn’t dare shoot, just raised her hands, one holding the gun pointed towards the ceiling to avoid misunderstanding by Chen Xin.
But sothing Zeng Liu dared not do, soone really wanted to try.
The wanderer beside Zeng Liu, eyes drifting to the gun in her hand, thought that if he could seize the gun and shoot down the drone before it fires, they’d be fine.
Zeng Liu said the drones were controlled by soone with a fractured arm, presumably an easy target; once the drones are down, couldn’t they handle a disabled person with a fracture?
Thinking this, he acted, snatching the gun from Zeng Liu’s hand before she could react, aiming at the drone, attempting to fire.
But the gun didn’t fire.
Viewing this through the drone’s cara, Chen Xin almost laughed but remained asured, decisively pressing the fire button.
The machine gun beneath the combat drone instantly locked on the wanderers, with just a few soft pops, they all fell to the ground.
