“Alright, now it’s two against two.” Deputy Director Dong Sheng smiled helplessly.
Yan Lizhong also showed a slight smile, and the two of them looked at the third professor with the surna Tian at the sa ti.
“Professor Tian, your opinion is crucial now,” Yan Lizhong reminded.
Professor Tian frowned deeply, silent for a mont.
“Don’t you abstain from voting!” Dong Sheng asked intentionally.
Professor Tian shook his head: “I was indeed thinking of abstaining, but that would be irresponsible to myself and to the projects in the laboratory.”
“So what is your opinion?” Yan Lizhong asked.
“Entering the ‘Void state’ is indeed a risky action because our current risk assessnt in this area is not sufficient. It is fraught with so unstable factors and unpredictable developnts,” Professor Tian said.
Yan Lizhong and Dong Sheng exchanged looks.
Professor Tian started laughing: “I suggest we first conduct a model simulation, taking all factors into consideration. If the quantum spectrum model can enter the ‘Void state’, then there should be no problem. But if the model experiences an energy pile-up explosion, then we must rethink this plan.”
“I think it’s feasible,” Dong Sheng said, patting the conference table.
Yan Lizhong appeared contemplative, then nodded in agreent.
It seed like the matter was settled. Dong Sheng’s side had the support of Qiu Yuan, while Yan Lizhong’s side was supported by Professor Zhang.
As for Professor Tian, it appeared he had made a fair suggestion, and both other sides had adopted it.
Yan Junze estimated that there wasn’t much ti left for him here; he only had a little over seven minutes before he’d be forcibly pulled back.
The information from the eting he had heard so far only revealed that the laboratory was divided into two factions, with Dong Sheng’s side agreeing to change the operational environnt of the quantum graphs, and Yan Lizhong’s opposing any hasty changes.
As for Professor Tian, he seems to be neutral.
After contemplating, Yan Junze had the idea of taking a peek in Dong Sheng’s office, and imdiately his vision shifted and quickly passed through the walls of the eting room, out into the hallway, and then through a storage room filled with experintal equipnt.
Continuing through walls and past two offices, he stopped at the third one.
This was Dong Sheng’s office.
The computer was turned on, but it required a password to access the desktop.
Yan Junze rely thought about wanting to see the contents of the computer, and he found that the password in front of him was bypassed instantly, allowing him direct access to the computer desktop which wasn’t even shown.
Drive D, Drive E, Drive F; he quickly browsed through each one. Apart from work docunts, he didn’t see anything suspicious.
Just as he was about to exit and prepare to directly sift through the drawers, a folder nad “Z” in Drive F caught Yan Junze’s attention.
He imdiately clicked on it with his mind, and the contents that were revealed made his eyes light up slightly. The data within the folder gave Yan Junze a profoundly familiar feeling at that mont.
“The Book of Changes, parallel spaces, outline about ti singularities, virtual spaceti theory, hypotheses on another form of life, dynamic study of magnetic fields…”
The description of every docunt folder was almost related to Yan Junze’s current experiences.
This revealed that Deputy Director Dong Sheng indeed had secretive plans.
But was Professor Qiu, whom he served, also secretly cooperating with Dong Sheng? Otherwise, why would their opinions coincide, both suggesting changes to the operational environnt of the quantum graphs?
As the thought crossed his mind, the office door opened. Dong Sheng and Professor Qiu Yuan walked in—one after another.
Dong Sheng had a grim expression, while Qiu Yuan’s face was flushed red; it seed they had a dispute after the eting.
“Old Qiu, stop it. This matter is already at a critical point; it must proceed!” Dong Sheng walked over to the coffee table by the sofa, poured himself a glass of water, and drank it down in one gulp.
Professor Qiu Yuan was still sowhat agitated: “Director Dong, we had already agreed during the eting, and I also support your view on changing the environnt for the quantum graphs operations. But as Professor Tian said, we can first conduct a model simulation. However, I clearly saw you move the actual quantum graphs to the area that was supposed to be for the model this morning. Are you planning to deceive Director Yan and directly use the real quantum graphs?”
“Do you realize how much effort we’ve spent on this?” Dong Sheng didn’t deny it but spoke seriously: “The lab has invested over 140 million, and all my thirty years of research has been poured into it. And you? Who took your ‘Space-Ti Tri-Orientation’ theory seriously when you were at Taidong University? Without , could your views have been accepted? Applied in the laboratory? Could you have discovered so many flaws and improved them?”
Professor Qiu Yuan’s complexion turned pale, and he stopped speaking.
“Old Qiu.” Dong Sheng patted his shoulder, “Trust , once we change the environnt, the power of the quantum graphs will truly be unleashed, and by then, we will definitely be able to break through the ti-space barriers and touch another form of life!”
Professor Qiu Yuan sighed heavily and left the office without another word.
Not long after the office door closed, there was a knock, and the door was pushed open. Professor Tian, who had been in the eting room earlier, walked in.
Yan Junze’s gaze sharpened, noticing that the man’s expression seed a bit off.
Indeed, with a heh heh laugh, Professor Tian said in a lowered voice, “How about that? My suggestion didn’t have any loopholes, did it?”
“Old Qiu found out that the model was swapped out,” Dong Sheng said.
