Chapter 862: Chapter 475: A Crazy Cross!_2

He locked his gaze on Claudia’s face, then slowly shifted it to Lin Yishan, falling deep into thought.

Soon after, Lin Yishan returned behind Payne, standing obediently waiting.

A rift opened in the Void above the platform, and Yan Junze’s body began to float, rising higher and higher until he could overlook the entire area.

Jeffrey, responsible for the summoning, rapidly chanted the words from the “Book of Change,” picking up speed, and after a while, a chill emanated from the rift in the Void.

Shortly after, a gray shadow fell from the rift, crashing onto the platform.

Yan Junze knew this was the True Word Demon arriving, but upon seeing it, like the others stationed beneath the platform, he was extrely surprised.

He hadn’t expected the creature to be so diminutive and sleazy-looking, totally lacking the imposing aura of a Demon Spirit. But then, he witnessed the might of Sylvanus’s True Words; with a single sentence, more than forty people below gasped their last breaths.

Papasa then spoke up, halting the True Word Demon, and the two sides quickly reached an agreent, uttering the sowhat comical words to Yan Junze, “to rule the world together.”

However, Yan Junze now felt that ruling the world might just be a pretext, the real purpose might not have been ntioned by Papasa, perhaps only Claudia IX truly understood.

At least for now, if his guess wasn’t wrong, there might be two souls residing in Claudia the Ninth’s body.

Apart from the dozens of Demonic Exorcists that Sylvanus killed using the Power of the True Word, surpassing everyone’s expectations, the summoning ritual actually went rather smoothly.

After Papasa and Sylvanus reached an agreent, this creature seed utterly captivated by the “Book of Change,” directly burrowing into the ancient to held in Jeffrey’s arms.

Jeffrey tried to contain his excitent, then slightly bowed to Claudia IX, slowly leaving with his followers.

From Jeffrey’s actions, Yan Junze sensed that he could hardly contain an air of arrogance, likely a trait that seeped out unwittingly after successfully summoning Sylvanus.

However, Claudia IX’s face showed no hint of dissatisfaction; he even smiled and watched the proud Jeffrey leave with the “Book of Change.”

Because Yan Junze had overheard the conspiracy between Claudia and Lin Yishan in the Holy Hall of Yalidana, he knew this noble was cunning and strategical, his dissatisfaction would never show on his face.

After the ceremony, people buzzed with discussions about the terrifying True Word Demon and the shock brought by the Power of the True Words.

Claudia IX quietly asked Papasa, “If the True Word Demon had lost control, would you have been able to deal with it?”

Papasa nodded, then shook his head.

Claudia simply looked at him, not pressing further.

Papasa explained, “Without using the ‘Book of Change,’ perhaps I could overco it. But once it rges with the ‘Book of Change,’ I can only await death.”

Claudia nodded, ntally weighing the strengths of both sides.

Standing beside them, Yan Junze, out of interest in Papasa, suspected to be the child of the God of Death, and due to Claudia IX’s suspicious behavior, followed them back to the palace.

However, afterward, they no longer discussed topics that interested Yan Junze.

Through the Spaceti Atlas, Yan Junze switched his scene to the residence of Jeffrey, who had left earlier.

In his view, this was a fairly large manor, and since the ritual ended, Jeffrey remained in his bedroom.

Yan Junze directly passed through the high walls into the room, discovering Jeffrey holding the “Book of Change” in his arms, curled up on the spacious feather bed without sleeping, mouthing sothing while clutching the book tightly, his face filled with attachnt and obsession.

It was apparent that he had beco utterly consud by it.

Such a person, when dealing with the shrewd Claudia IX, even though now possessing his main reliance, the outco would still be very tragic.

Yan Junze seed to already foresee the scene of Jeffrey being manipulated by Claudia, the True Word Demon from the book pinning and grinding him on the floor.

After witnessing the summoning ceremony and learning Lin Yishan and Claudia’s secret, Yan Junze roughly figured out the situation with a slight deduction.

After leaving Jeffrey’s manor, he was about to initiate the command to return to the Void, but paused slightly, a new idea forming in his mind.

He soon arrived at the city center of Litecar.

Yan Junze switched himself out of observer mode, standing on the street, he quickly released [Perception of Strange Events].

As his energy remaining was over seventy thousand points, after uncovering the secrets here, he already had a plan that might require several more cross-dinsional travels, thus energy conservation was essential.

Since he was already in Olay Great Capital, if the quantity and quality of strangenesses here permitted, he planned to harvest them first before leaving.

After all, staying a few more days here had no impact on his original world.

However, Yan Junze suspected this place to be a gathering spot for several large Demon Hunter Groups, thus having a significant number of strangenesses was rare.

Yet the outco still surprised him, as the mission information quickly reflected back.
